Hi there, the 3rd party forwarder we use is 上源 and had been using them since 2014. To find him, you'll need to contact them through wechat. You can find him through wechat username "gsysunny" He's not the cheapest but very responsible.

love your house aesthetic, very cozy, just started to shop Taobao this week and happily purchased 14 items thinking its free shipping and thought the price was final when check out, discovered that there's additional charges by weight after watching a Taobao haul video that explained how to shop on Taobao, was very worried as I bought 14 items just thinking its affordable and these item ive never seen it on other platform or from a physical store. not sure how does consolidate works, especially with the charges as very scared it cost more than $10.

the dining chairs and bar chairs came pre assembled. the shoe cabinet just need to put the 4 legs and the magnetic clip that closes door.

Hi, we tried to concealed it behind false ceiling, carpentry or partition wall. In cases where it quite impossible to concealed it we will covered it with plants haha

Thank you for this video! :) Wanted to ask if you had to get a china sized queen sized mattress for the bed frame?
hi, nope you doesnt have to. but u need to consider the dimension of your bed and bed frame before buying off taobao. Some bed frame will require the bed to be the correct size to fit nicely in which, if you get a local off the shelf mattress ,which is slighly smaller, there will be a small lobang between the bed and frame. Some bed frames are more forgiving! ours is a local mattress with a china bed frame!

Love your house. Did you purchase the bracket for the pendant light in SG? Thought it comes as a set when you purchased the pendant light?
initially the island design is slightly longer and we intend to have 3 of the lights seamlessly on the reinforced column but due to limitation of not being able to conceal the wiring, we have to buy a bracket for it. so its a decision that came after that. so ya, there are alot of design changes and troubleshooting along the whole design journey. haha

Hi how do you do it on taobao if it's a third party forwarder? What do you press when it comes to shipping? Is it to contact seller direct and let them know you're using 3rd party? Are you able to ship things from different stores all together?

yes we always ask them to enhance the packaging. especially fragile stuffs like mirrors which we will pay them a small fee to crate it up.

Hello! May I ask how did you coordinate all your taobao purchases with your house renovations? Seems like there are a lot of moving parts to consider, like making sure things to ship in time for reno works so contractors can install certain furniture (lighting, tiles etc). I would love to taobao a lot of my furniture in the future but I just don't know how to coordinate everything. Thank you!
I think it is gd to talk with your contractor and let them know the stuffs you intend to get from taobao and ask them to let u know the renovation works timeline. And you can schedule your purchase accordingly. It is not all smooth sailing for us. There are shipping delays due to port congestion, festival season or the material is not up to mark and we have to repurchase, which causes delays.
If you are on a tight timeline, it is really better to purchase it locally.

May i know how do you ensure that the taps, basin, and even the lights are suited for hdb??
I think taps and sink are quite universal around the world. Wall /ceiling Lights mostly come with open ends which then the electrician will need to connect to your main power supply. China voltage is similar to sg too so you doesn't need to do any voltage convertor.

Hi thanks for sharing!! would like to check you got your bed frame from china which has slightly different measurements than the bed mattress in Sg, so I was wondering if you bought your mattress from China too or how did u manage to make sg mattress fit into the bed frame? thanks
we used back our old SG mattress from the previous house. it really depends on the bed frame you are buying. our frame is a completely flat base so even though the SG bed is smaller in length, it still generally looks ok. but if your bed frame is those with a hole insert for the bed to fit in, then there might be some lobang, which really is up to your personal acceptance level haha. its just a point we wish to highlight.

normally we will ask them to either crate up the items for fragile stuffs (some charge for the crating) or to increase the protective packaging for the normal items as they will be shipped overseas.

Hi, ours is from prism+ but there is an identical one from taobao.just slightly cheaper.
I think it's up to individual's comfortability. We do tell our toddler not to touch the TV stand as it can be dangerous and will fall on him but he doesn't seen interested in it anyway. Haha.

Haha actually we did try to find. But those that we feel it's ok, the price after shipping doesn't differ much. So we go with a more known brand Blanco locally.
We did used a taobao sink and faucet in our previous home. And it still works well after 5 years before we moved out.
Please doesn't go for dirt cheap taobao kitchen faucet as you won't know whether there will be rust etc inside and you will be eating all of that.

most came pretty much preassembled, like the dining chairs and bar stools. The dining table and the shoe cabinet you just need to assembled the legs. The bed frames you will need to assemble yourself though.

Hi, we assembled ourselves. I think most of the furniture came pre-assembled with minimum assembly needed (just scew in legs ) the desk and bed frame does came unassembled but there is a manual for you to follow easily.
