The end result was stunning. I'm so envious of people who have a natural knack for interior decor, who can throw random items together that look stylish and homey. I think it's something you possess or you don't. I definitely don't. I paint the walls white and have all the furniture white to be on the safe side. If I wore a white coat in my living room, I'd look like a floating head.

just a tip for next time you paint cabinet doors....
ya might just wanna keep the doors off when you paint them that way you know for sure you got every nook and cranny and so you don't have to worry about accidentally painting other parts you don't want painted (ofc painters tape is a thing) but also just having the doors off to paint is /sooooo/ much easier and installing a door isn't hard either.
just cause i saw at 10:16 (and i'm sure other spots too) you can see the side of the door thats attached to the cabinet itself has a raw wood edge. just letting you know, not meaning to sound rude or picky just thought that was some info you should know if you didn't already.

Also mdf is not water resistant so that edge could get damaged - it would only take a few minutes to take the doors off and paint those edges - it is such a beautiful colour - shame to damage it!

Absolutely love the paint colour you chose for the cabinets! We agree that the cabinet hardware is super important and keeping the finish of the door hardware consistent throughout your home has such an impact!
Well I for one wouldn’t have known you have achieved all this on a budget, everything looks beautiful together, your gifted dining table and chairs look like something from a movie. You are evidently very talented and I think from what I’ve seen so far your home will be feeling a lot happier with all the love you are putting into it😊💕👍

Small tip. Take cupboards doors off to paint them. It will make your life easier and you won't miss any edges or get paint on any other furniture.

A small IKEA hack I made was to frame the IKEA assembly plans, I cutted out the small squares with the characters and have them in the foreground, and I filled in some parts of the plans with the IKEAs pens.

I love everything about all of it. The rooms are lovely and your hand me downs look like you bought them because you wanted them. No one would ever look at those rooms and think you were just making do with what you were given. You are very good at decorating and I want to do laundry and have coffee in those beautiful rooms!!!!!

I’m a new subbie. Got the same IKEA lamp for free at a garage sale. The wire was cut. Took it to the local hardware store for a $2 electrical plug. Hand painted the lamp shade with discounted Joann’s paint. It looks amazing.

I cut larger (skirting board size) mosaic tiles and put them up instead of skirting board and they look super.

In the empty space next to the top cabinet u could add a closet bar to hang clothes on in the same finish of the handles on the cabinets and use hangers to hang up clothes that cant dry in the dryer and ull save money on using a dryer doing this as well
