The percentage started decreasing and the Yugs started changing. Its true that its a state of mind. but the percentage of living and "Non" living things/persons with the state of mind in that yug is called by that name.

Prashant sir actually ye bolna chahte h ki whole world must get out of materialistic world and automatically nature will become fine towards you and you will become fine towards the world
