      So what do you do when water seeps in?
      Do you do a co-wash, do you continue to apply a leave-in conditioner until wash day, or do you wash your hair everyday?

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  Год назад +2

      @@marciab1279 When water seeps in there are several cap layers there. The water doesn't get to my hair. My hair sometimes is damp because after I swim I go to the hot tub and sauna. This cap layering method works for me. I'm not sure if you're subscribed to my channel but I've done hair updates. I don't have issues with my hair getting wet. I wash my hair every 7-10 days.

    I was compelled multiple times in your video to tell you that you're cute as a button. But when you commented that your hair was crazy and you didn't want to be on camera, I had to stop. But I was doing and tell you you're a light in the world. Thank you for making this video and being vulnerable with us and sharing what's worked with you!!! I just feel very lucky to have found you and again, I think you're cute as a button

    Also the dampness can be from sweat..when I do my laps I also sweat at my scalp. Your hair maybe damp but not saturated with water and thats a huge success! I'm currently using the Jherri swim cap but my head is so big (Gina from Martin) 😂😂 I never thought about layering before. I swim 1-2 times a week for exercise and mental health...I might try this method.
    Excellent video!!!❤🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

    This is the second video that I've watched of yours not including a short. I'm taking swim lessons soon and while it's only twice a week, I'm still concerned about potential hair damage. But my question is regarding the pink cap: does it really help to keep water out of your ears? I bought ear plugs but I'm wondering if one my cap should have been the kind you have in your video.

    Thanks for sharing! I just got a membership to my rec center and am going to swim daily, and I’m worried it’s going to ruin a lot of the progress I’ve made growing my hair out over the past few years. I’m going to try this!
    Would love to see a video from you on your skincare routine before and after swimming. I have eczema and the air gets super dry here during winter, so I’d love recs for the best products to keep my skin hydrated!

      @kharyzma4u the swim caps I ordered never touched water lol. I went snorkeling and said forget it lol

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  9 месяцев назад

      @mrsbobbicisse lol...no worries. The majority of women don't swim daily or hardly go in or under water on a daily basis. That's why I cant understand all the comments that people put up saying " doesn't all those caps hurt your head?" You're not gonna have it on that long. I've tried the single cap that's supposed to keep your hair dry and guess what? That cap is tight too. It's supposed to be to keep water out. Just enjoy yourself in the water. Most are going on vacation to "swim". I swim atleast 5xs/week and my hair stays dry. I'll be doing a hair update this week. Stay tuned. Thanks for watching 💕

    • @mrsbobbicisse
      @mrsbobbicisse 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah@@kharyzma4u I decided to let my hair get wet.. I was wearing a wig and went swimming, snorkeling etc then threw it out lol.. and put on a different wig that I brought with me. I am a swimmer. Not as much in the pool but definitely in the ocean. I knew when I went I was taking extra hair and the caps. I did order the last one you put on top and two others.. I'll keep them for future try.. but yea if you ain't swimming, "why come" you asking? You are a willlld gal for even having the comments enabled.. adventurous..

    What if your edges only get wet/damp from swimming?
    Any tips on washing just your edges?

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  Год назад +1

      Maybe you want to coat them with a heavy product to minimize the damage. Wash how you normally wash. I really try not to get any parts of my hair wet in order to prevent having to wash it.

    • @marciab1279
      @marciab1279 Год назад +1

      @@kharyzma4u First of all, Thank so much for your response.
      I’m wearing my hair flat-ironed these days, but I still love to swim. I’ve been using your method since the summer and it’s great for the most part. However, it’s a bit of a challenge when I’m trying to keep my straight style. I went swimming this morning and just the outer perimeter from front to back, (the edges), got damp. Do you have any suggestions for that? Thanks.

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  Год назад +2

      @@marciab1279 Hi, you're welcome. I'm not sure what you're using for your layers and how tight the fit is. That may play a part. Try to troubleshoot. I use my hairsocks that I make as my first layer. Usually everything is pretty tight and if water gets in, the first few layers should be absorbing it, so I don't know.

    • @marciab1279
      @marciab1279 Год назад +1

      @@kharyzma4u I follow your method to the T. And for the head band, I use Hair Guard swim headband, made from the same material as a swim cap. It’s just the side edges and the lower back of my head (if I do some swimming on my back), that get damp.

    • @kharyzma4u
      @kharyzma4u  Год назад +1

      @@marciab1279 Oh, wow, so sorry. I swim on my back, go under and everything and I'm good. This method works for me. Keep experimenting to find a method that works for you. I'm sure you'll come up with something 💕
