I'm excited about the ("my" lol) Texans but always found Diggs to be a selfish, disruptive guy. Probably worth the gamble given Texans are in "win now" mode with CJ's top 7(ish) QB play on a rookie contract. Also Diggs' contract allows the Texans a painless out after 2024 if Diggs implodes. Maybe it'll be worth what's likely to be an early 2nd rd pick - it's Minnesota's pick BTW.

If I'm the Texans there's no way I'm signing an extension on Diggs, at least before his contract is up or a no trade clause. I'm no fan of franchise accounting, but for real they NEED to start putting language in contracts for both sides about using social media specifically but the media in general as a ventilation system for poorly communicated issues as being "good cause to trade or cut a player" and/or make guarantees void. Having someone who is toxic to the locker room shouldn't be costing teams the ability to compete the following year, but also include language that allows players to file a grievance in order to protect the guarantees until whatever issues are resolved. I'm sick of seeing players literally whine their way out if a place when there are THOUSANDS of free agents out there willing to do itbthe right way for a lot less because they love the game so much more. If it were up to me, I'd structure contracts with a "next man up" clause that allows the team to avoid dead cap hits by temporarily elevating a poayer already on roster or practice squad to be making the guaranteed money the diva leaves on the table.

I used to love stefon diggs, and I supported him, but that changed last year. He is not an elite talent anymore, and on top of that he's cocky and arrogant. Bro never came through in the biggest moments.
Everyone likes to correlate Josh's success with Stefan showing up, but that's only a small piece. A much bigger piece to Josh's legendary leap in production in season 3 was the amount of work he put in in the off-season with Jordan Palmer to completely overhaul his mechanics. Josh is now at that level where he does not need an elite number one receiver to be successful. He proved that after Joe Brady took over last season. By the end of the season diggs wasn't even in the top three of most valuable weapons on the team.
Have fun with your old man Houston. We in Buffalo are more than happy to take that dead cap hit to get that cancer out of the locker room. Now we are primed and ready to watch the meteoric rise of a new Superstar Keon Coleman.
