Just saw them live with Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine in Chicago. Amazing live show and for being the first time I had heard Balance and Composure they absolutely killed it.
Is it just me or does it seem like there's more guitar on the left then the right? I know mixing 3 guitars is a little weird to do, but it doesn't sound even. Though, this is an amazing video and the audio sounds almost exactly like the album. So kudos to you AudioTree
Can't complain about everything, This one leaves me with a permanent stain, all over me. I can't take the way you look at me. Those eyes could never lie. The truth will find its way out. In time I'll pour it out, Until then I'll keep you inside my head. Take a look at what's beneath your feet, Flowers that once made you smile Have turned to stone now they're grinding down your teeth. Walls around your mind can't keep you safe, Build them up with steel and stone and watch your soul escape. Get through today and know that you are secure. Get a grasp on the fact that this is what you're here for. You can quake at the thought of it. Shakes you up quite a bit And all you do is think and thinking gets you nowhere. Just wait for clarity you say this will all make sense. Just stay here with me. I can't take the way you look at me. Control, I have lost. There's no sense in clawing myself out And I know you can't live without taking all that's left inside my head. Take a look at what's beneath your feet, Flowers that once made you smile have turned to stone Now they're grinding down your teeth. The walls around your mind can't keep you safe, Build them up with steel and stone and watch your soul escape, away.
When will open hi-hat thrashing drummers come to the light of 12 inch hats when it comes to recording. Had a teacher loan me a pair before recording an ep cuts so much of the cymbal wash from the drum mix. After the fact, all I can ever hear from heavier live recordings is Alex Van Halen levels of cymbal wash.
I've seen these guys a couple times and their instrumentals are absolutely awesome. It's a shame that he has to sing like that, though. Really brings the rest of the band down. It'd be alright every once in a while, but every word?
The half-scream he's got going on. I could get behind it if it was with build up or something, but I feel like it's overused and it sort of overpowers the rest of the music.
Well this guy has the same style of vocals, go back and listen to his singing and compare it to this it is very similar with a lot of emphasis on the half screamed vocals
I love Quake so much, it makes me want to leave such a comment on youtube
3:28 the best guitar tone ever
That beginning riff in void is so freaking badass!
Seriously. Would love to see them open with Void + that opening riff.
Damn, his voice is exactly the same, awesome band
i swear they are the fucking masters of tone
"I long to find a cure for the feeling I find in these chords."
Love the riff at 3:28

You must be new to this genre.
Fucking luv this band
When too many Fenders are just not enough...brilliant
Whole song gives me the chills
Favorite band right here!

Good!! I love it!!! Gosh! I thank to my classmate for telling me about this band.!
I'm listening to this years later, also played with them, I'm realizing a Nirvana feel from certain songs off this album, so fucking sick
FULL ON DIGGIN THIS
Hell yeah! The versions of these songs are super tasty!
Also, these dudes have to dig on Brand New.
How is this so perfect?
Awesome sound.👍
Its a little clunky but beginning at around 4:20 that is some awesome screaming.
Love you guys
lovin that shirt
Seem like a good band to get stoned and listen to
it's great
It is!
RIP this amazing band.
they're back!

Nice music
there's a little of biffy clyro in the voice aswell which makes it even cooler
eeeeeeeek sooo goooood
I CAN'T TAKE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME !!!!!!
I feel bad for people that will never hear this...oh well
is it a la dispute t shirt?
yes, also their vocalist was in similar t-shirt in another live
Does anyone know what ride cymbal the drummer's using? Thanks in advance.
Nirvana?
they started out as a nirvana cover band
Are you kidding me? They always reminded me of Nirvana in a way
I still can't believe I bought some weed instead of a ticket when they came
bad call
3:30 quem nao fica arrepiado é maluco
Fuck I love them
Please answere, what cymbals set in video?
I'm not exactly sure but they're all Meinl Byzances. The hats look like 15s, the crash looks like it's maybe an 18" and a 22" crash/ride.
Anyone know what guitar the lead singers using? I know its fender but cant make the model out. Cheers
+Ryan Giles looks like some jazzmaster
+Ryan Giles quite sure it's a modern player jazzmaster
In the first song it's a fender Toronado
+Mark Fisher think your right, cheers mate
I'm pretty new here
Is this a karaoke session or something
What snare does he use, anyone know?
I know he plays c&c, so it would be custom made and im not sure on the sizes
It looks a whole lot lot like a Ludwig Supraphonic (or a C&C copy.)
What cymbals does he use here? Thank you in advance
You can see in the video
he plays meinl byzance
anyone know what strat that is? or it just a fender standard.
no one is using a strat :D
Joe Oxspring im new :D but what guitar? lol
jaguar, jazzmaster & telecaster
Chris Aguilar which one is the lead singer using, i noticed the jaguar.
deviant gaming Jon simmons (lead singer) is using a fender jazzmaster
sweet rubber drumsticks
I'm shocked at how bad this mix is. You can only hear 1 guitar. Audio Tree wouldn't put this out nowadays
can anyone hook a brother up and tab quake for me?
this is late but 3:20
a guitar tab. lol
my bad.
idk if you're still searching but there is a pro tab on ultimate guitar if you register you can view it. sounds pretty alright to me
@@BigWorldx nah it’s wrong
Void is the result of only listening to Porcupine Tree for a month.
Lol at anyone who doesn't like his singing

eahs07 So I'm guessing you must also hate Kurt Cobain's singing?
Saul Martinez No, but I'm not sure what the purpose of the guessing is. I don't hate Kurt's singing, I think he pulls it off.
Well this guy has the same style of vocals, go back and listen to his singing and compare it to this it is very similar with a lot of emphasis on the half screamed vocals
I agree, but I don't think he has the right voice for it. Kurt is waaaaay better.
maybe I'm the only one, but I think they got worse after only boundaries
One of the worst voices ever. It's a bummer, their music is pretty good otherwise.
