I really like the black background. This is so beautiful. Thank you Donna. I really appreciate your videos. You are a very good teacher. I need to finish about 5 or 6 quilts. My favorite thing is piecing. Got to get busy!
I did this during. Cozy quilt lock down. She gave the pattern for free. And I have all my blocks done. Just need to work on my wall to lay it out. Have it all ready to go so I’m so glad you did this one. It’s quite easy. It does have a few steps. I love that you lay it out and I can remember. How it goes together. That’s vary helpful. 🌹❤️
I agree with you all! I have made 2 quilts from Donna’s free patterns - stepladder and the adjustable size jelly roll race. My next quilt will be using the layer chops pattern. Greetings to all quilters from me in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. 😀❤️🇨🇦✂️
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for your explicit, easy to follow videos. You show us how to do what looks impossible to easy and not overwhelming. I always can’t wait for the release of your next new video! Please keep them coming Donna! You’re a GREAT teacher!!! So appreciate you videos!! ❤️❤️❤️
You make picking out colors so easy, it's always one of my hardest things to do, guess that's why I like kits. Have too many as which I may never get done in my lifetime. Thanks Donna, HAPPY SEWING
I love, love, love all your videos ... ive made quite a few but I love the way you explain everything and don't make it sound like if you deviate you will go to jail ... Donna you are awesome and Matt your kits are fabulous !!!!
Hello Jordan family I love your tutorials for numerous reasons..and one is that i love listening to Donna's crisp instructions. Hope that your next tutorial comes soon.
I have to say that I’ve never been a huge fan of KF but I’m beginning to change my mind. This is a beautiful quilt and you made it look so easy. Thank you for sharing!!
Love this quilt. I have followed Kaffe Fasset's career since the late 70s, I bought his knitting patterns. His fabric is just as exuberant and beautiful. He's a truly unique designer. Thank you for making this with the black background to show off those gorgeous colours. I think navy or dark green would also work well and even a burgandy.
Wow, it looks SO much better with a black background and the bubble quilting in a darker color. This really pops, a great quilt for summer or for kids. Awesome as always, Donna. Thank you.
I really like how the black background makes the KF fabrics pop. Good choice Donna! You make this look so easy. Love your pressing tips as well. ❤️🧵✂️👍🏻
I love watching your methodical instruction. It makes me feel more confident in attempting more complicated looking patterns. Thank you for taking the time to share all the quilts.
WOW - your fabulous fabric selection looks amazing on this quilt pattern - what a beautiful finish with those K.F. colours. Thanks for another well explained tutorial and greetings from England, as we celebrate our Queen's 70th Jubilee :)
I'm not normally a fan of Kaffe fabrics but this was softened by using black. The celebrations have been great, a fantastic turnout all over! Great to see 🍾
Really beautiful quilts. Love the KF fabric, but never used them since they are so big and bold. Cutting it up to jelly rolls, just make the colors pop. Thanks for showing us how to make this quilt using a black background. I prefer a light background, but this is beautiful. Gives me the confidence to try a dark background. Thank you for all your family and staff do to help us quilt.
When you first showed the fabric choices, I did not think I’d like them together, but the quilt came out beautifully. Thanks for stretching my comfort zone. Always love your tutorials.
I would have never thought of using a print like you used. You have showed me how amazing the quilt came out with those patterns and colors. Thank you for having me to think outside the box.
❤Yayyy another tutorial. Thanks Donna. I always look for new ones each day. Everything I hear & watch shows soo much information for me to learn by..❣️
Donna uses a lot of Cozy Quilt Designs patterns. They are well written with clear diagrams and instructions. I made their Star Power quilt. Even though many of the pieces were made with the strip tube method, the bias edges didn't stretch and my quilt came out perfectly squared. So don't be hesitant to try one. 🤗

I just recently subscribe because I one of your older videos and you make it look so easy. I’ve been doing small quilts and your videos give me the inspiration to make the bigger ones
Hi Donna, Matt & Crew. I l love your videos. I look everyday for all of the videos. It’s so wonderful to see the patterns in different color ways. You are definitely the best teacher on RUclips. No offense to anyone else but the way you explain every single point is amazing. You and the whole Jordan family are so wonderful. Your customer service is like talking to family. They’re helpful friendly and very knowledgeable and accommodating. I watch your videos everyday and night. I’m in bed allot and don’t sleep well due to back pain and you make it feel like I’m sewing. You keep me out of my depression Thank you thank you for everything you do Love you all 🦁😊❤️❤️❤️
I wasn't sure I would like the fabrics you chose, but they worked beautifully. I love the quilt you're giving away. It's one of my favorites. Best of luck to everyone. Thanks for all you do for us. Happy Quilting! ❤
I am self-taught quilter and I refer to your videos ALL the time!! Especially if I run into a "how do I do this" question. I have made several quilts family can't believe how I learned. HAHA. This quilt is gorgeous, and I always love when you use black for the background. It really showcases the prints in my opinion. I am glad you zoomed in on the fatter boarder when you did the quilting, because it looked blue on blue instead of blue bubbles on green. Thank you so much to you and your fantastic team at Jordan Fabrics. Your team always answers my emails fast and with kindness and consideration.
I’m not a KF fabric fan at all, but completely respect his consistency in adhering to his vision and production of designs. I had the privilege of meeting him some time ago; he’s an engaging artist and I enjoyed just being in the same room listening to him meet and greet and simply share himself. Donna, one of the many gifts you share with so very many of us is your consistent use of fabrics different from the pattern’s sample. Thus, you expand peoples’ horizons. Your giveaway quilt today is another excellent example of your approach to your life’s work. The fabrics on this quilt again aren’t my style but they appeal to your many viewers and that, I believe, is part of your magic. You always demonstrate excellent technique and make it accessible to so many, regardless of their skills. The workmanship is your usual impeccable doing. For an instant I could imagine how Caryl Breyer Fallert could take this pattern, use her hand dyed fabrics and somehow incorporate her trademark flying geese. And that, Donna, is your greatest gift to the present and then into the future. You inspire people to learn in the present while you direct them towards future possibilities. This is the definition of a mitzvah.
Wow the quilt colors are spectacular. Thank you so much for your tutorial Donna. I learned so much. I’m so excited I did pinwheels. Your a special lady! Joanne
The black background really calms down on the brilliant color! Your teaching skills are amazing Donna - I learn from every tutorial you share. Thanks a million!!
