    Planet Hulk was such a great story. It was 'Spartacus with the Hulk'. It's adaption in the MCU consists of being awkwardly forced into a Thor movie, rather than receiving it's own movie.

    What I like about this film is how the protagonist is the Hulk and not Banner (who, for some weird reason doesn't appear in the film). I feel many adaptations focus too much on Bruce Banner and his tragedy, to the point they end up making the Hulk come off as just an angry savage monster, a weapon that Banner uses in the actions scenes. As result, they end up ignoring the Hulk has his own personality, goals and desires. He can be a brute monster but is also able to be smart when needs and show compassion towards others.

  • @callmev3531

    I remember seeing this film and having only the critique of there being no mention of Bruce, with almost appearing to treat Hulk as the dominant identity while Bruce’s is left permanently dormant within him, even though it is justified with the nanite technology used in the disks that made the Hulk identity sentient enough to behave like more of a person than an animal do serve as enough justification for Hulk being the sole identity present throughout this particular story.
    However, as an analysis of Hulk’s specific psyche, especially his loneliness, hatred and resentment and capacity for guilt and compassion, the film works beautifully, doing far more than something like Thor Ragnarok or Infinity War ever did with expanding upon a traditionally sentient Hulk that is more than just an slightly intelligent animal or a mindless beast.
    It would have been nice to see this kind of characterization for the Hulk identity going forward, allowing them to tackle his resentment of Bruce for imprisoning him inside himself and humanity for hating and fearing him (something they do touch on in Thor Ragnarok, but rarely in a serious manner) though I understand wanting to skip over it straight to Professor Hulk for simplicity sake and (giving that Green Scar, the Hulk that becomes fully sentient and intelligent on Sakaar eventually attacks Earth and becomes World Breaker) not wanting to have two Avengers with questionable backgrounds revert to becoming villainous as they already did with Wanda Maximoff going insane and being influenced by the Darkhold into becoming the Scarlet Witch.

    • @alexandrefrauches132
      @alexandrefrauches132 7 месяцев назад +2

      That was always a nitpick I had with the film, the fact the Hulk never reverts back to Banner nor is given a explanation to why, unlike the comics in which not only there are battles between the two in Hulk's mind but there's even a scene where Hulk lets Caiera see him as Banner and she kisses him, showing how she accepts both parts of the man she loves.
      The choice to go with Professor Hulk could also be a way for Ruffallo to keep voicing the Hulk. In Ragnarok, when Hulk reverts back to Banner, his voice sound a bit rough, probably a result of Ruffalo having more lines as Hulk. This is why I felt the MCU Hulk should be play by two actors, with Ruffalo playing Banner while someone else voice the Hulk, like Lou Ferrigno ou Fred Tatasciore

    Hey Mitch, I can’t agree that Planet Hulk is the best Hulk movie. BTW, I hope you can make a video about an extended Power Rangers shattered grid cinematic universe. I would call it Power Rangers Extended Multiverse or Power Rangers Shattered Gridverse and have it be not only based on the OG tv shows but also the Power Rangers Shattered Grid comics. For the story, I feel like it would be a multiversal travel through time and space. Now obviously we gotta start off with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team, because they’re the first team who started off the Power Rangers franchise and reached global phenomenon. I would also like to see a scene where they meet other different Rangers from Lost Galaxy - Dino Fury. I also would like to see their meetings and interactions similar to the tv shows. I would like to see a scene where all the Power Rangers come together to defeat Lord Drakkon. This is obviously like the scene in endgame, but I actually would love to see this happen better than what happened in Super Megaforce. I also would like to see a scene where Tommy Oliver meets his adult future selves, one as Lord Drakkon and the other as good Tommy Oliver we all know and love. For the casting, I hope you can cast actors who can not only play the part, but also have experience in martial arts, gymnastics, and stunt work. Also, some of the Rangers’ have different ethnicities like Tommy Oliver is Native American, Rocky DeSantos, Carlos Valerte, and Ashley Hammond are Mexican American, Adam Park is Korean American, Cameron Watanabe is Japanese American, etc. You should check the Power Rangers by Racial Diversity online for the castings. I hope you have time to make this video, because I know a lot of Ranger fans would want to see this happen one day on the big screen.
