Merseyside is one of the most successful counties in English football when you collectively combine the top-level trophies won by its teams (mainly Liverpool and Everton to be fair), but beyond the obvious, do you know who the top 10 men's football teams are in the county right now?!
From the Premier League right down to the North West Counties Football League, this cycling tour takes you across the whole county visiting the grounds of each the 10 best teams playing their football in the county right now based on their position in the football pyramid. Filled with history, statistics and interviews with club officials, you might be surprised to learn about some of these teams and their histories!

Just in case you didn’t catch who the teams were, they are as follows (in their ranking order):
1) Liverpool Football Club

3) Tranmere Rovers Football Club
4) Southport Football Club
5) Marine Football Club
6) Bootle Football Club

8) Lower Breck Football Club
9) AFC Liverpool
10) Litherland REMYCA Football Club
Thank you to the hospitality of all the football clubs you’ve seen me visit in this video - namely Prescot Cables, Bootle, Litherland REMYCA, Marine/AFC Liverpool and Southport. I turned up on the day without any notice and they were all extremely welcoming and gave me their time to film their clubs, as well as a few mementos thrown in too! If you’ve got a local non-league team nearby, go and check them out sometime - it’s a great day out and you’ll always be welcome!

My uncle Frank Soo played for Prescot Cables before the war. He went on to play for Stoke City with Stanley Mathews and also played for England a numberof times in war time games.

Having done alot of these grounds whilst Tranmere have been far away to get too ground hopping, found this very interesting to see the actual rankings and all grounds in a day

Founded from Lyndhurst Wanderers And Belmont Cricket Clubs, taking the name from a previous club (that only existed for one season).

City of Liverpool are at same level as Marine, Prescot and Bootle. I think you may need to redo the list or risk inaccuracy and offence.
