I heard an interview with Billy Idol on NPR. He was offered this song for the movie "The Breakfast Club", but turned it down. He admitted he made a mistake, but turning down this song is now part of his story. He does a great version.

Gotta admit, the punk movement of the late 70's early 80's really helped shape the more mainstream music of the 80's for the better. Billy Idol, Simple Minds, Eurythmics and so many other's having root in the punk movement.
