    This last clearance against Higgins is one of those O'Sullivan magical moments..A sequence of unbelievable, craaazy shots (one crazier than the other) that noone else would attempt. That's why we love watching him.

      Indeed. Considering those 2 grew up together in the Snooker world/same age & era must've played each other since they picked up a Cue (more or less) so surely know one another's style off by heart. That frame you mention just shows how great they are, but Ronnie certainly proved he's more than a potting machine the LEGEND.

    I happened on snooker, and Ronnie O'Sullivan, last year.
    As an American of an age, I appreciate how someone can spot greatness without initially understanding the game. Purebred racehorses in a Kentucky field, Wayne Gretzky, Messi or Ronoldo (and Pele), and O'Sullivan. (Not inclusive, of course.)
    A joy to watch.

    Nice selection! It's funny because it generally looks like the opponent expects to be done for when they let Ronnie on the table too early. Hugill's expression was priceless. The thing is, very few players would be able to make these difficult counterattacks effective, in fact even simple ones are often ruined by others, and none with such high percentage as Ronnie. And no one works out the right solutions so fast in such complex situations, if they manage at all, as him. i felt for Ford though, and hope he'll do better this season.

    • @nodeal7337
      @nodeal7337 Год назад +3

      Here's an idea for your channel.
      Present your audience with player "dilemmas"
      10min long video. 3-5 clips. Don't show how they solved it. Use lines and drawings, a good way to practise your editing skills. Let your viewers guess in the comment section. Clip one: Option 2 - Clip 2. Option 4. etc. In the next video, you present the solutions in a Premiere. Use old clips, and blur out who's playing and "white noise on the audio. Keep up the good work and continue to improve your editing skills. Ohh and Why not change to Cesars Snooker Palace. Thanks for the entertainment.

    Any little sniff of a frame winning break/clearances he will take it ,regardless of the obstacles that lay ahead. Steven hendry was the same . No mucking about just get the job done. Ronnie is just built different and with age I think he just gets better. Years ago we would see him throwing in the towel when things got tough. Now when his back is against the wall he just comes out fighting . He’s a different animal now and can make the record 8th world title without a doubt

    • @UKKC80s
      @UKKC80s Год назад

      He's battered by those players because they are safety players mainly. Yes they can all clear but they play with the mindset of if I can't get the next ball, I'll make sure it's night on impossible for my opponent to, and they are three shots in front with that thinking, whereas Ronnie likes to just attack, he's not a defensive player really. He struggles with very defensive minded players and the three you mentioned are three of the best defensively, and have amazing angles also.

    • @manan612
      @manan612 Год назад +1

      Ronnie has a winning record against all three players overall.
      As a matter of fact, even in Tournament Finals, he has a winning record against both Higgins and Robertson. Selby is the only player who has a winning record in Finals against Ronnie (BTW, Ronnie is 17-5 against Selby in Non Finals matches).
      Ronnie also has a losing record against Trump in Finals matches but most of those losses were by a just a few frames (Three 9-7’s and a couple of 9-8’s if i remember correctly).
      Infact, in addition to Selby, Robertson and Selby, Ronnie has a winning record overall against the other great Snooker players of the last 30 40 years including Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry, Mark Williams and Jimmy White. Only Trump has an even record against O’Sullivan (15-15 right now).
