I was not surprised you constantly slid in the ditch with them. There are continental tires rated for the weight of a commercial vehicle that will have way better ride and puncture resistant. Keeping them mobile shouldn't be too hard they are just GMC trucks under the body. I would eliminate the electric roll up storm windows for manual slide up ones that are fail proof.
I've waited a long time for this! HEY Dr. Timmer, you should put little tornadoes on the doors under the window for each time a dominator gets inside for an intercept, Like a fighter plane! You could put the rating or make bigger funnel stencils for each Fujita scale. Just an idea, would be awesome!

Reed I am a 64 year old lady who lives in a mobile home in Dixie alley. Your advice and chasing videos might well have saved my life a couple times during tornados...so thank you. I have watched the dominators since the introduction of them... I would love a ride in one during a chase...but alas I know thats impossible, so keep making videos so I can at least ride with you all during those! Long live the domintors!!! Keep on chasing!
Is there a gofund or something to help repair these legends? The sponsorship potential of these vehicles is amazing there should be a line up of companies wanting there products and names to be attached to these vehicles for the 2023 season! From lighting to radar and navigation. Tires and fluid additives 😊 is there any possibility of adding starlink through the camera dome? It was pretty useless for any camera footage. I watched the entire Storm and tornado series and like once the dome camera was used. If starlink could connect through lexan to satellite the internet would always be working.
Out of all three Dom's I think #2 is my favorite, can't wait to see it back out in the field, Reed you are awesome and I can't wait for 2023 chase season

I have seen the Dominater 1 a couple of times in the Cornhusker state. Thank you for you and your crew for what you all do for the research of tornado's and because of you all for what you are doing for the warning times to help keep people safe as possible and out of harms way of the path of a storm.
I stayed a single night in Norman Oklahoma to trade vehicles with my family across the country. We saw either this vehicle or one like it while there. It was by far the most interesting thing we saw in Oklahoma.

I am glad to see you back out chasing. I had the honor of seeing these and TIV in May 2013 in Norman OK. I was there for disaster relief with the Red Cross. These vehicles are nothing short of an engineering masterpiece.

I've been living in Oklahoma for the last 20 years and first heard of Reed on Storm Chasers. When he joined up with KFOR is about the same time I moved to OKC and I used to see the Dominators in town from time to time. They're kinda famous, but especially so around here. Gary England, David Payne, Mike Morgan, and Reed Timmer were the guys to watch then things turned south. Seeing the Dominators again fills me with such nostalgia.
should use that transparent aluminum for the glass...1.5 in stops a 50cal... edit...that material is called ALON or Aluminium oxynitride...and its doesnt cloud up and very hard to scratch...being a 9 on the hardness scale...and that 1.6in can take multiple 50cal hits...prob expensive though

I've been living in Oklahoma for the last 20 years and first heard of Reed on Storm Chasers. When he joined up with KFOR is about the same time I moved to OKC and I used to see the Dominators in town from time to time. They're kinda famous, but especially so around here. Gary England, David Payne, Mike Morgan, and Reed Timmer were the guys to watch then things turned south.
Seeing the Dominators again fills me with such nostalgia.

should use that transparent aluminum for the glass...1.5 in stops a 50cal... edit...that material is called ALON or Aluminium oxynitride...and its doesnt cloud up and very hard to scratch...being a 9 on the hardness scale...and that 1.6in can take multiple 50cal hits...prob expensive though

Storm Chasers was my FAVORITE show growing up as a kid!! you’re crew and the dominator were my favorite by far, sooo cool to see you still have the dominators over a decade later..
