AHHHH ANOTHER BLACK GIRL POTTERHEAD CROCHET-ER!!! we were made to be here together with one another i think. i’m totally saving this video for when my crochet skills sharpen a bit!! so much love for you.
I'm knitting a Weasely Sweater and the biggest mistake was not knowing the letter is it is asymmetrical like R for instance, it needs to be drafted and crocheted backward or flipped to read the right way when you wear it or from Left to Right. None of the patterns I read mentioned this. Maybe because I was a beginner and I didn't know. But I remember a video where this young lady told the viewer about the "first sweater curse" and her mistakes and that is where I learned that tip. Ironically after I already knitted the letter backward where it would read right to left. So to summarize: draft the pattern or grid backward and crochet it that way, so your letter will read correctly when you wear it.
Thank you very much for the clear tutorial!! I have been looking for an understandable analysis for a very long time. Tomorrow I'm going to buy yarn and start knitting🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for this! I was currently working on this but wasn't sure how I would do my letter since Meg had 2 different ways and I wanted the cleanest look. So your video helped alot!.
This video was very helpful! Thank you! My friend really liked the sweater I made her for Christmas. I made her a whole set because she is literally obsessed with Harry Potter!
my collection started when egg nog drink was a thing for the holidays now I wear one all year to catch up into it & fresh out my 20's to about to get back to my deeded timeshare property lifestyle the motivation of words like ''thou, thy'' THANKS
Your really great , I just came across your vids and you have very nice professional sweaters and cardigans very stylish so I will be watching you often.
this is so amazing, I'm thinking about making these for my parents and my brothers for Christmas so I would like to ask: how long did it take to make one? just so that I can plan when to crochet the sweaters
How you crochet with them nails? I got my nails done long once and it was like my fingers forgot how to work all cus there was an extension on top lol I couldn’t crochet until them babies popped off. Never again will I do that haha Anyways this sweater tutorial is aaaaaamaaaaazing! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thanks for making this video! The crochet community really needed a Molly weasley sweater tutorial. Do you have a link for where you got your crochet hooks?
Amazing tutorial, I wanted to ask if we want to make it customizable for our liking like to fit properly do we just change the measurements you have done like the height of the panels we do fewer rows of the double crochet so less than 40 if we want it smaller and the neck hole do we just decrease according to our size so like if we want to make it smaller we just crochet into more stitches then decrease? Hope it makes sense lol
I have the same weight yarn, Im actually using a SMALLER size hook at 5mm, and I’m following your pattern EXACTLY and im on my 3rd skein while still being only 20 rows into my back panel after the ribbing. WHAT IS GOING ON
so for the ribbing on one of the panels do you make it half the size you want the ribbing in to be in total? i’m using different measurement, hope that makes sense
If you measure around your entire waist, cut that number in half and use the new number for the ribbing measurements (for example, if your entire waist measurement is 26 inches, cut that in half and use 13 inches). But to make things easier, just measure around the front of your waist and that can be the measurement you use for the ribbing (using the example from above, 13 inches would be just the front measurement). Hope that makes sense!
Hey! I’m interested in purchasing your written pattern, and noticed you said it was for all sizes - what are the measurements? I’m wanting to make a couple of these as gifts but want to make sure it’s size inclusive. Unfortunately I’ve had some bad experiences purchasing supposedly size inclusive patterns in the past, just to find their XXL has a bust or waist measurement of like 35” maximum, which is still on the smaller side. 🤦🏽♀️ This does look like a loose fit though, so I’m hoping I’ve finally found the right one!🤞🏽🤗 Awesome tutorial - can’t wait to try this!
Hi! There are no specific measurements or stitch counts for this sweater. It is written as a measurement-based pattern, where you create the sweater based on your own personal measurements, or however long or short or wide you’d like to make it. The pattern guides you through that process, so it shouldn’t be difficult to tailor to fit exactly how you’d like. ☺️
My last name is Rylie so I need an R lol I haven't gotten good enough to write my own patterns... I need to make one like 4X lol .... I'm new to crochet.
I’ve been dying to make a sweater but I’m really worried it will be too much see through. Is it? Do you feel the need to wear an undershirt if you go out?
Nope, the stitches were close enough that nothing can be seen through it. But I do crochet tightly, so if your tension isn’t as tight, definitely try it on and test it to see. ☺️
Question what’s size is this would you say? Small, medium, large? I want to make this for my teacher and I might as well make it a bit larger. It might as well be a bit larger than smaller. It’s going to be a very awkward conversation if I ask my teacher what her size is 😂😂😂😂 oh and props to you I could never be able to crochet with nails as long as yours

Girl if I want the neckline to be more closed and round, should I just lower the amount of stitches I leave in the middle?
Thanks for making this video! The crochet community really needed a Molly weasley sweater tutorial. Do you have a link for where you got your crochet hooks?
I agree, and thank you for watching! I don’t have a link, but the name of the Etsy shop I got the hooks from is called SilverYarnHandmade. 🥰
@@knitwithkali Thank you, I found the store!
@@miakhan5779 You're welcome!
Hey love so happy I stumbles across ur channel!! I have a question,, if we wanted to creat the sleeves more baggy would you just increase? Xx
Can we use alpaca garn instead of acrylic, because acrylic doesnt keep warm 🥲
What is the gauge and how many yards do I need? What weight yarn?

I believe that is correct, you’d just need to take the change into account when planning where to put your letter :)
I want to do it with the letter F but I don‘t know how. Could you help me please?

Hello! Do you get the letter grids/patterns only if you buy the pattern itself?
What size would you say this is that you’re making?
how many inches across are each of the panels? wanna check that my tension is similar to urs to produce the same size :)
How many balls of yarn did you use?
She said 4.5 to 5 balls of 640-650 grams balls
I'm interested in buying your pattern but I'm a 5xl plus gal and I'm concerned that it won't fit
In the pattern, I give instructions on how to make it bigger or smaller if needed.

How can we buy it?

Would we be able to use the way you did the grid letter with any other design?
Yep!

Cute!!! You’re always full of surprises. I’d love if someone made me a L ( for Laurel, my first name)!! This looks fun!,
