Big fan here of Mint myself, although been running it only for some months now, but it just works. It doesn't keep f*cking itself every third update because of some dependency. The only thing I didn't like was the old default kernel, but seems that'll change now with 22 running 6.8 kernel. Oh, and maybe someday they'll manage the software manager to just launch and people not having to wait a few seconds for it to pop up. About libvirt, it's not that hard to install really, don't follow some other distro's instructions. In Mint it's really easy, just open your Software Manager and install the Virt-manager package. The only additional thing is to turn on virtualization in your BIOS and add bits to grub if you pass through your video card.

ahhh forgot to set up the pass through! good looks. yea i stay away from gui software managers or whatever. i feel they are symbolic of proprietary software and a culture of convenience which lead to laziness and peoples complete disregard to security.. i use the terminal also because it just feels right and it makes me cool lol
