5:53 The Undying King has a window where he transitions from friendly into hostile. His HP as a friendly is waaaayyy lower. I proc'ed dev loop within this window and it one shotted him. This is like a 1 in million chance btw lol
Went back to Remnant since there’s nothing else that I wanna play at the moment. Elden Ring was fun and I put in hundreds of hours already, but I needed another kinda enjoyment it wasn’t give me. Remnant gave it back to me, nothing beats booting up this game after a long day at work (recently got hired at Culver’s) and just forgetting the stress.
You ain't lying. I was hoping the recent patch for Elden Ring was going to fix some glaring issues but it didn't. Gonna bust out a few more Elden Ring vids then I'm going back to Remnant myself, until Elden Ring DLC is released. Remnant is a special game I can always go back to and have a blast with.

Thanks mate ! This is awesome and appreciated. Me and my buddy finished the game a few days ago and barely scratched the surface. Bought the dlc's and all of that too. An underated game I must say. Fantastic co-op experience.
Randomly got reccomended to me after watching some vids for the sequal. This just reminds me why Remnant was such a good game! You can run pretty much anything and still be viable as long as you know what type of damage what your going to use, scales with. My favorite to run in vanilla version back at launch was: typewriter with breath of the desert and a secondary with swarm. But the build i used after the big change when i returned after both DLC had released was: Fusion rifle, SMG with breath of the desert, cultist hat, scraper chest, osseous boots, gunslingers charm, cult of the iskal and empowering rings. This allowed for fairly fast passive mod regen, and crazy fast fire rate of the fusion rifle, even while it was charging. just pull out the SMG and pop the breath of the desert if an enemy gets too close and they will be deleted. have an elite spawn? just use Fusion Cannon mod from the rifle; you will have that mod power back in no time anyways! Osseuous allows for some extra dmg on elites and bosses and scrapper lets u deal more dmg and take less dmg from suprise melee enemies. with 2 sources of passive mod regen, the Fusion Cannpn is never not at full charge (except for when u use it). I did swap to a more tanky build later once they adjusted the Leto armor set. with a whole Leto set, twisted idol, alchmist's jewel and ring of honor, I'd love to see the enemies kill me with that build!

Tried to make The Slayer Sniper build with Slayer set , Hunting pistol, Sniper rifle, Gunslinger's charm, burden of the gambler, Gunslinger's Ring I'm only level 233, so probably don't have some important traits yet, but my normal hits are around 470, which makes fighting some elites or large groups of adds somewhat challenging.
The main damage traits for this build are: executioner, king slayer, minds eye, exploiter, quick hands. Dont forget to take off burden of the gambler when fighting enemies with weakspots. You will miss out on big damage if you don't

Got back into Remnant recently and am sporting a frostbite centric build. Lab Armor, ricochet rifle with frozen mist and the twin shot with cold spear. necklace is vulcan's detonator and my rings are the Grim Coil and Burden of the Gambler. Any tips to optimize? Please and thank you.
Yea any build using a single element isn't really optimized unless you are doing a theme or cosplay build. You can check my playlist section, go to the mod builds playlist and get some ideas of what to build
Hey, can you tell me what heals you so much at about 6:58? It actually heals you a lot in couple of places like the when you are in the void place of the dreamer, normally you get a lot of damage just staying there, what gives? Nice dodging.

Isn't there a starting class for this game? Or that's just your starting weapons? Asking because I'm starting a new playthrough/new character and want to build into your last build (looks busted fun and reminds me of Destiny warlock lol) Is there a specific thing I pick at the start or that doesn't matter for builds?
Starting class doesn't matter in Remnant 1. It will in remnant 2. Starting class only determines your Starting gear and trait. All of which can be acquired by anyone in their playthrough. If playing non hardcore mode, I suggest Starting cultist for the spirit trait. It's one of the best traits and can be a pain to get on your own. If playing hardcore, I suggest Starting scrapper for the defense. Youncan buy all of this stuff right in the beginning. I suggest start cultist and buy one of the other sets or use the drifter set you get in the beginning. Cultist is one of the worst sets imo
Whats the easiest build to use when just clearing ads going from dungeon to dungeon btw love the video got the game through ps but only just started getting into it also im on nightmare kinda scared to go to apocalypse 😅
Do you think if you are using the slayer sniper build and only use the sniper and hunting pistol, could in this situation the grim coil be better then the akari warband? When using the gunslinger charm together with empowering loop
been debating whether or not i should get the dlc on the next sale. got remnant when it was free during epics xmas giveaway. almost got everything maxed just need more simulacrum. for $20 i could get me and bro a different game to play together like anthem despite it's woes. anyways are the old no-dlc builds still good? unsure since i it's kind of hard to keep track of the past nerfs and buffs. i use the void mage build the most, leto melee drain and radiant crit.
They go on sale frequently so any time now they will be on sale again. They are highly recommended. As for my no DLC builds, yes they all still work and are strong 💪
Brilliant. Your use of the Sporebloom against the ixis was an eye opener. I have always been under the impression shotguns would be useless against them - beware of stupid impressions! As for poor old Gorefist, what can I say - again!? I guess his grandma didn't teach him to suck eggs. Been looking for your new mod on Nexus and Steam, but can't find it. Don't really have a favorite honestly. But if I had to narrow it down, I'd say slayer sniper, sniper swap and desert mage are my 3 favs, in no particular order.

@@BoltJamison Hey thanks for the reply man, I just literally got this notification and you replied 3 days ago..not sure why. I have just one more question, between all the Status effects is bleed the most effective against enemies? I primarily use The Typewriter and Firespit..and build for crit damage overall, I find you can't build for both, it's either you go in with bleed, crit, radiation etc.. not half and half. Am I wrong about this?( I can't make a crit bleed build, unless I'm making a hybrid) So I run 2 peice Rad and 1 Piece Osseous. Talisman of Animosity Braided Thorns Heart Seeker I can reach 95% Crit damage and 35% Crit Chance. I'm still fairly new to the game so I haven't collected everything, and still need to buy the DLC. That said is there anything I should change or something I'm not seeing that you can add. I don't know if there's a specific ring or necklace I should go for. The thing I hate the most about some games is when they don't tell you specific stats on things, and you just don't know if yoire wasting your time with say "Talisman of Animosity" because I can't see my weak point damage or percent. It's just say 30% but what if I'm alreready at 100 or something. Also what's the best Auto Handgun? I love the Spitfire but it's the only one I got so it's rhe only one I use. Is Auto Pistol and Sub Gun maybe better? What's the point using Spit Fire if I'm not building for Fore Status Effects right? Unles hybrid builds are viable after all, I slot either a Gear or Accessories to give me a bit more status effect damage. Like is Crit even better then Status effects, do Status effects crit as well? Is ceit even important or is Weak damage more important..see my dilemma. I run tests but without being able to make separate loadouts it becomes very tedious. I hope Remnant 2 allows me to "crunch more numbers" so to speak. Also thanks Bolt, for taking your time replying to scrubs like me.
@@K1r4Gamer honestly, even with his weakspot, I found the modspam build to be the best against Harsgaard. You may want to stick with it for that fight lol
Hi Bolt, For build 6, The Bloomstick Is there an alternative if I don't have Black Rose but still want to try that build? Getting 100 boss kills in Survival takes too long. Thanks!
I'd say just go full slayer and use gunslinger charm until you get it. You won't have the utility of the 1 piece hunter tho but should be OK until you get black rose.
Well in fights where you are dodging quite a bit, I recommend leaving akari warband on. But if you must substitute it, then the other top damage rings will be good: ring of supremacy, braided thorns etc. The shotgun charges mod power much better than coach so I'd recommend keeping that as well but if you enjoy using the coach, then I'd say go for it
@@BoltJamison awesome. Will go for the braided thorns unroll i get a bunch of hardcore mode items. Tangentially speaking on swarm, is it a bug or by design that it melts the nightmare? Hate that boss so much and swarm (which is an awesome mod anyway) actually makes that boss fight manageable.
@@Red_BarronRetroReadings it destroys the nightmare boss because each damage tick gets boosted by the nightmare stacks you get in the nightmare realm. So it cracks his chest open immediately

There are few things i wish the game had, i share it and i don't know what you think about it: - loadouts, so you can save and select builds (changing all the stuff each time is pretty annoying) - "Boss chain mode" (i call it like this) it would be a simple game mode where you randomly fight each bosses in a row with your charachter so before each boss you can select your build and you just fight bosses after bosses and just like in survival mode, the goal is to go as far as you can and the further you go, best rewards you get. And for most players apocalypse would be a damn big challenge to beat all bosses in a row. And let's be honest, at some point the most interesting part of the game is boss fights. I already know i would only be playing this game mode. If you combine my 2 suggestions the game rythme is perfect: not too much time in your inventory, and you fight bosses for days 😍
My current build is Radiant set, BR with Swarm, SMG with Hunter Mark/Hive Cannon, Gunslinger Charm, Akari Warband and Devouring Loop, what are your expert opinions on this. I feel like if it works, it shreds like no tomorrow. Even if it doesn't work, then works fine, not shredding great but kinda balanced.

@@xWARLORDx oh yea I been playing since launch. When I first started, the game was tough but over time and with practice, anyone can improve! Also I wouldn't say there is a best build. There are very strong builds but in this game, builds are situational.
Not that I was asked but the best build is whatever one suits the situation best for play style and player needs, I swap and adjust regularly but what builds you can do at any given time will very with player resources, I have a soft spot for Crit/DPS builds, and a decent vampire build.
I’ve always been wondering why you would use the crossbow over the sniper rifle if they have basically the same stats, but the sniper rifle does more damage?
Actually the crossbow does more damage. You need to take into account reload speed. Faster reload means more DPS. The sniper rifle does have more range than the crossbow. The crossbow also has a built in stealth feature that doesn't alert enemies. Its more of a matter of preference. Both weapons are 2 of my favs.
Trying versions of the mod mage lately. I feel like swarm is insanely good! Can’t put my finger on it if I like it more than my trusted hive cannon. I am also not 100% sure if I like full labyrinth or the cultist hat with 2 pieces lab more. I feel like without the swarm recharges very slowly.
@@BoltJamison your wisdom may be applied oh mighty internet stranger! :D Storm was great fun as well but the hovering insects around me make me feel like a Iskaal mage xD. I was playing it with the shotgun right now. Your crossbow looks also fun as hell. I imagine it more of a add clear weapon?
@@tobiasbollig6394 slayer sniper/crossbow is great for add clearing and boss fights. It's a very versatile build. Simple yet extremely effective. Nothing fancy, just straight up nasty ranged damage
@@tobiasbollig6394 oh yea when using lab set you want to use weapon that gen mod the fastest. Shotgun / sawed off and Rico rifle are the best, followed by twins shot, hunting pistol and sniper/crossbow

I'd say any of the damage rings. Braided thorns, Burden of the warlord, gravity stone, hunters band, grim coil. Each are dependant on what kind of build you are running tho
just saw this video today having a blast with remnant and a mate lately! i m trying to farm the peaces for the storm god. played sniper so far but it LOOKS INSANENLY FUN :D. i m very excited. are there necersarry traits? or every trait just adds a little bit more spice in that delicious soup?

I can’t decide which performs better for me right now without the Vulcan necklace and the akari war band. The hive canon is in both cases nuts! Which would you prefer personally?
@@BoltJamison well weird it seems very hard for me to get close to your numbers. my storm explosions go for around 1-2k and yours about 7k. i m still missing the amulett, but that gap is quiet big!
@@laycosdemir2694 if fighting a weakspot boss, use a ranged build like the slayer one. If fighting a boss without a weakspot, use a mod build. Hope that helps
What traits do you suggest for the unstable swarm/desert mage build? I've built it and im a big fan, but Im not getting the same numbers and I think it's because I have the wrong traits leveled.

Yes the build diversity is insane for remnant. So many different ways to play. I can't wait for R2!

Warlord set has heals you as you deal ranged or melee damage. The DoT's from the melee weapons count as melee damage, giving you sustained heals.

Tried to make The Slayer Sniper build with Slayer set
, Hunting pistol, Sniper rifle, Gunslinger's charm, burden of the gambler, Gunslinger's Ring
I'm only level 233, so probably don't have some important traits yet, but my normal hits are around 470, which makes fighting some elites or large groups of adds somewhat challenging.
The main damage traits for this build are: executioner, king slayer, minds eye, exploiter, quick hands. Dont forget to take off burden of the gambler when fighting enemies with weakspots. You will miss out on big damage if you don't

Got back into Remnant recently and am sporting a frostbite centric build. Lab Armor, ricochet rifle with frozen mist and the twin shot with cold spear. necklace is vulcan's detonator and my rings are the Grim Coil and Burden of the Gambler. Any tips to optimize? Please and thank you.
Yea any build using a single element isn't really optimized unless you are doing a theme or cosplay build. You can check my playlist section, go to the mod builds playlist and get some ideas of what to build

Starting class doesn't matter in Remnant 1. It will in remnant 2. Starting class only determines your Starting gear and trait. All of which can be acquired by anyone in their playthrough. If playing non hardcore mode, I suggest Starting cultist for the spirit trait. It's one of the best traits and can be a pain to get on your own. If playing hardcore, I suggest Starting scrapper for the defense. Youncan buy all of this stuff right in the beginning. I suggest start cultist and buy one of the other sets or use the drifter set you get in the beginning. Cultist is one of the worst sets imo
Does the radiant set bonus apply to summons? Lot of people say only elder passive buffs summon damage

Akari warband gives crit chance which is the best way to increase damage in this game. Crit chance is king
been debating whether or not i should get the dlc on the next sale. got remnant when it was free during epics xmas giveaway. almost got everything maxed just need more simulacrum. for $20 i could get me and bro a different game to play together like anthem despite it's woes.
anyways are the old no-dlc builds still good? unsure since i it's kind of hard to keep track of the past nerfs and buffs. i use the void mage build the most, leto melee drain and radiant crit.
They go on sale frequently so any time now they will be on sale again. They are highly recommended. As for my no DLC builds, yes they all still work and are strong 💪

Abrasive will get you way more damage. But if you don't wanna keep applying corrosion, galenic is fine

Don't really have a favorite honestly. But if I had to narrow it down, I'd say slayer sniper, sniper swap and desert mage are my 3 favs, in no particular order.

I have just one more question, between all the Status effects is bleed the most effective against enemies?
I primarily use The Typewriter and Firespit..and build for crit damage overall, I find you can't build for both, it's either you go in with bleed, crit, radiation etc.. not half and half. Am I wrong about this?( I can't make a crit bleed build, unless I'm making a hybrid)

I'm still fairly new to the game so I haven't collected everything, and still need to buy the DLC.
That said is there anything I should change or something I'm not seeing that you can add. I don't know if there's a specific ring or necklace I should go for.
The thing I hate the most about some games is when they don't tell you specific stats on things, and you just don't know if yoire wasting your time with say "Talisman of Animosity" because I can't see my weak point damage or percent. It's just say 30% but what if I'm alreready at 100 or something.
Also what's the best Auto Handgun? I love the Spitfire but it's the only one I got so it's rhe only one I use. Is Auto Pistol and Sub Gun maybe better? What's the point using Spit Fire if I'm not building for Fore Status Effects right? Unles hybrid builds are viable after all, I slot either a Gear or Accessories to give me a bit more status effect damage. Like is Crit even better then Status effects, do Status effects crit as well? Is ceit even important or is Weak damage more important..see my dilemma. I run tests but without being able to make separate loadouts it becomes very tedious.
I hope Remnant 2 allows me to "crunch more numbers" so to speak.

I'd say just go full slayer and use gunslinger charm until you get it. You won't have the utility of the 1 piece hunter tho but should be OK until you get black rose.

For the mod mage build with swarm, what is a good replacement for the akari warband? Also was thinking about the coach gun in place of the shotgun.
Well in fights where you are dodging quite a bit, I recommend leaving akari warband on. But if you must substitute it, then the other top damage rings will be good: ring of supremacy, braided thorns etc. The shotgun charges mod power much better than coach so I'd recommend keeping that as well but if you enjoy using the coach, then I'd say go for it
@@BoltJamison awesome. Will go for the braided thorns unroll i get a bunch of hardcore mode items. Tangentially speaking on swarm, is it a bug or by design that it melts the nightmare? Hate that boss so much and swarm (which is an awesome mod anyway) actually makes that boss fight manageable.
@@Red_BarronRetroReadings it destroys the nightmare boss because each damage tick gets boosted by the nightmare stacks you get in the nightmare realm. So it cracks his chest open immediately

There are few things i wish the game had, i share it and i don't know what you think about it:
- loadouts, so you can save and select builds (changing all the stuff each time is pretty annoying)
- "Boss chain mode" (i call it like this) it would be a simple game mode where you randomly fight each bosses in a row with your charachter so before each boss you can select your build and you just fight bosses after bosses and just like in survival mode, the goal is to go as far as you can and the further you go, best rewards you get. And for most players apocalypse would be a damn big challenge to beat all bosses in a row.
And let's be honest, at some point the most interesting part of the game is boss fights.
I already know i would only be playing this game mode.
If you combine my 2 suggestions the game rythme is perfect: not too much time in your inventory, and you fight bosses for days 😍

My current build is Radiant set, BR with Swarm, SMG with Hunter Mark/Hive Cannon, Gunslinger Charm, Akari Warband and Devouring Loop, what are your expert opinions on this. I feel like if it works, it shreds like no tomorrow. Even if it doesn't work, then works fine, not shredding great but kinda balanced.
This is a standard crit build. You can't go wrong with it. It's very solid.

@@xWARLORDx oh yea I been playing since launch. When I first started, the game was tough but over time and with practice, anyone can improve! Also I wouldn't say there is a best build. There are very strong builds but in this game, builds are situational.

Not that I was asked but the best build is whatever one suits the situation best for play style and player needs, I swap and adjust regularly but what builds you can do at any given time will very with player resources, I have a soft spot for Crit/DPS builds, and a decent vampire build.
I’ve always been wondering why you would use the crossbow over the sniper rifle if they have basically the same stats, but the sniper rifle does more damage?
Actually the crossbow does more damage. You need to take into account reload speed. Faster reload means more DPS. The sniper rifle does have more range than the crossbow. The crossbow also has a built in stealth feature that doesn't alert enemies. Its more of a matter of preference. Both weapons are 2 of my favs.
Trying versions of the mod mage lately. I feel like swarm is insanely good! Can’t put my finger on it if I like it more than my trusted hive cannon.
I am also not 100% sure if I like full labyrinth or the cultist hat with 2 pieces lab more. I feel like without the swarm recharges very slowly.
Yea its such a fun build. Go cultist hat for world clearing and full lab for bosses.

@@tobiasbollig6394 slayer sniper/crossbow is great for add clearing and boss fights. It's a very versatile build. Simple yet extremely effective. Nothing fancy, just straight up nasty ranged damage

I'd say any of the damage rings. Braided thorns, Burden of the warlord, gravity stone, hunters band, grim coil. Each are dependant on what kind of build you are running tho
