That transfer case linkage looks super janky and pieced together. Makes sense why there was enough slop to fall apart. Replace it with stock linkage with a drop down bracket or cable shifter
I had it welded up and extended when I did the body lift but it was around a year ago and lots of off roaring later lol I don’t plan to be throwing too much money into the TJ since I have a new Jeep I want to mod. So long as it works I’m happy
It’s a code for evap nothing special. But I would need a whole new tank, fuel pump, tank straps, skid plate etc. so long as it’s running I’m not worried
@@SmokinMonkeyOG Exactly. It's only since the 90's this 'check engine' light rubbish became a thing. In the past you'd notice something wrong and attend to it. No need for an idiot light that really *is* an idiot light.. It will even come on if low on fuel and ascending a steep climb (some computer tells that the amount of fuel doesn't match the level of recorded fuel or something). Furthermore - anyone not used to a 'check engine light' is obviously new to Jeeping ;)
ohhh buddy, you got some structural carpeting going on under there! Glad the linkage was a easy fix, cheers!
Ya that’s how it’s been since I bought it. I need to get someone that can weld to help me out and patch it but haven’t got it done yet
Lol thanks for the pre clean we would have been eating dirt the entire repair lol
And glad it's still working 👍
Thanks again for the help!
Glad that was a easy fix. My Jeep is idled I ride it around the block that it til I am allowed to drive.
You got access to a garage, I got a driveway...damn it.
Not my garage but I do work in the underground garage at my place

Get rid of the linkage and go cable.
$$$ if you want to donate me one I’ll install it
@@SmokinMonkeyOG yessir with the body lift the linkage is off. novak makes a good cable shifter if you ever have more issues.

I have a Savvy 231 cable shifter, I am not using. I can't seem to locate what the heck I did with the hardware though, but I'll make you a deal.
Ya let me know!
