From the Castle, to the Quayside, to the Cathedral on the Hill to what the mighty black and whites! There's loads of history and culture here and also lots of pubs, most are dog friendly too.

As a Geordie by birth The Toon will always be in my blood - even though for work I left in 1992 and now live 3,500 miles away in Dubai.
Gannin' oot in the late 80s earlt 90s in the Bigg Market where trebles were a quid at the Blackie Boy (plus mixer for 50p), what mental nights we had there, the lasses with no coats and blue knees in the winter when it's snowing.
Crazy days, happy days, nee hassles ever. Handyside arcade, the Mayfair in a Friday night, the gigs at the city hall.
Great vid, just subscribed.
Thank you for the sub @michaelj3282 and for the great memories! My first gigs were back at the Mayfair, what a great time
Wor Toon is mint lyke😂😂top video canny lad
@antd6993 cheers!!! 😊😊
What a great vid. I’m a local lass but have never been to the Wylam Brewery. It’s in my list now 💕💕💕
Subbed to you. 👍🏻
@geordiegirl164 ah thanks so much, that’s very kind of you. Haven’t been doing it long so still trying to get better. You’ll love Wylam Brewery, thanks for the sub ❤️❤️❤️
When I hit 18 that big market pub crawl was a thing of absolute Bliss. 1990 to 2000 then it changed "rubbish these days"
I always go back to my fond memories sitting chilling in Leazes park/Exhibition park.
My 2 favourite places by far.
@privateeye121 “going out” always seemed to be much better when I was younger! 😊

Hi mate. Great video. I'll be in Newcastle on Saturday 4 May with a group of friends on a stag. Can you recommend some some decent pubs / sports bars for a few afternoon beers. Any outdoor food halls with DJs etc would also be class.
@gringofitness3030 hey there, thanks so much for the feedback! Slice Wars takes place Saturday 4th at Wylam Brewery, loads of the best pizza makers in town competing against each other. It’s indoors and outdoors. DJ’s on, great beer and great food. Free entry too. Lots of places for sports bars, The Gate is a decent shout for sports bars, but you’ve also got the Bigg Market and the Quayside area too! Maybe I should do a video just for drinking 😊
The first building you entered is the bagpipe museum and not the Keep, Wylam brewery is the old military museum.
It's now a big student city. Doesn't feel like a Geordie place now. Durham is a nicer city
Maybe I'll try and do a Durham one in the future if people are interested 😀
You missed the magnificent Theatre. Royal, and didn't mention all the cinema s
You’re right! I did feature the beautiful Theatre Royal in a Christmas video I did, but just goes to show how many amazing things there is to do in Newcastle! Thanks for commenting 😊
Good video but not too keen on the added soundtracks, I need to keep the volume on to hear the commentary etc.
Thank you for the positive feedback. I’m sorry about the sound issues, I’m still just learning 👍
Newcastle looks class

Best thing about Newcastle is it borders Sunderland so instead of hanging around aimlessly with nothing to do just jump on a metro or use the very efficient bus service to visit the pearl of the north east Sunderland, all the top shops are situated handily for the discerning shopper, bargains galore can be found on every street corner, but i must warn you don't come when Sunderland are playing at home unless you enjoy the carnival atmosphere generated by Sunderland supporters from all parts of the globe.
@patrickkelly-lz3pv keep your eyes peeled because there’s a Sunderland video coming very soon! 😊
Haha all the top shops are in sunderland, poundland, costcutter and home bargains spoilt for choice !!!
Nowt in mackemshire
Is that the same Sunderland that’s been named on the worst cities in the UK list ?
@@apb3440 Jealous Geordies made that list, I travel from my home in Ireland every year to spend my two weeks vacation in Seaburn, wonderful beaches lovely people too.
Best thing to do in Newcastle erm train station get a one way ticket out of that dump of a city 😅
The bridges are nice and the quayside but the city itself feels dirty, rough and run down
@@tomjardine100 Nah mate everything is run down even the people lol 😂 no teeth no clean clothes no fresh deodorant
