I consider myself a foodie and Nest is right up there with the best restaurants in Newcastle for fine dining, I’ve been a couple of times and have always been blown away, I’m going in December for the tasting menu and can’t wait! For those who haven’t tried it yet, get yourself booked up and enjoy.

the daily telegraph reporters have probably never visited Sunderland and what about the stadium of light ! there is building going on around that, Mowbray park is wonderful. we had at one time the longest steel bridge, biggest shipyards, oldest coal mine in the world. and 'cannonball rock' found behind blacks cafe corner is unique.

I’ve had a quick look at the titles and can’t see Bealim House, near St James’ Park, for a Sunday lunch. Please forgive me if you’ve covered it already. We went once before a Sunday game and were very pleasantly impressed. So worth a visit if you haven’t been before.

Dumpling and Bun is the best in my opinion. I went to feds Chicken yesterday. I was underwhelmed. My chicken was nice but the fried coating was super greasy. The fries were nice. It was decent but didnt blow me away.

I recommend you try Stixs on St Andrews Street. You'll never lower yourself to FEDs again!

that has changed since the 1970s early 80s. It was mostly butcher shops a few toy and jewelry shops and some cafes back then. you would see deer., pheasant and hare hanging from some butchers and sawdust everywhere. I it was always closed on a Sunday back the also. Many thanks

New Geordie subscriber, just watched your Grainger Market food video, and then saw this one. I've been to New York 5 times now, was there March this year, and going back March 2025. This is a great video full of cracking advice for first timers, and very concise, unlike a lot of videos about New York that labour a lot of the points. Using the subway is great now with contactless. You just tap your phone or contactless card, and if you use the subway 12 times in 7 days, the rest of any rides in that 7 day period are free. Also, went to MSG to see the Knicks Basketball. You need ID for alcoholic drinks, but you also need a mortgage too! I was charged $54 for 3 pints of Stella there!!!

Feds and geordie bangers 👍 I go to the toy shop in there ( I build plastic kits Airfix etc ) it’s good to highlight the fabulous foods available for a good price. I’m from Sunderland but anything that shows people how good the north east is it’s great
