Nothing is cheap thes days. 🥺 Thank you for making a comment 👍
@@yorkshiresfinestpair Newcastle upon Tyne has such history. From being a Roman settlement pons aelius it was called by the Romans,
To the vikings. Who influenced our Geordie dielect. To at one time being controlled by Scotland,
To the industrial revolution,
What a city. I'm so proud to be a Geordie,
Great. Video. Both of you stay safe 👍

Thank you for watching our video and glad we have inspired you to get out walking again , each video of Newcastle will be different as different people see different things, we really do appreciate all the comments and the likes we get for our video as we are only new to this.
there are a few nice parkups on that coast :)
We would have loved to have stayed at them all but we only had 7 days to do some of them in. We will definitely be back again sometime soon. 🥰 Thank you for taking the time to make a comment 🥰
I ❤ my city of Newcastle
You are very privileged to be living there, we really enjoyed it but would have been better if the weather was better. So we have decided to go there again later on in the year.
Thank you for taking the time to watch us and hope you watch the next video of angel of the north where our trip up north ends. 🥰🍻
Newcastle are Tyneside one of the safest place to live in the uk

@@jimmyoconnell6167 thank you for making another comment. Small world isn't it, yeah Barnsley is ok we have lived here all our life it's a cheap place to live and we are surrounded by lots of countryside which is a bonus..🥰
must of knocked the Tyne pub down that's the ship tavern you were drinking in changed the name to the Tyne, yer me friends mum run it in the 60s and 70s the insides not the same now, once upon a time there was a tavern those were the days my friend we thought they never end, happy memories
Hi, Thank you for watching our video and taking the time to make a comment it's really appreciated. 👍 Hope you have a good evening. 🥰
Surprised you couldnt find a pub, Newcastle-upon-Tyne city centre has more drinking establishments per square mile than any other city in Europe.
I enjoyed your video, thank you.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to watch our RUclips channel, We passed hundreds of pubs But none of which had signs out saying dog friendly. The only 1 we found with a sign outside was the Tyne Bar just around the corner from where we parked.
Anyhow, I guess it gives us another excuse to have to come back for a second visit once the weather gets a little better. LOL.
Thanks again for watching, I hope you liked it enough to leave us a Thumbs-Up on the video as it does help our channel grow.. Thank You.
@@yorkshiresfinestpair There's loads of dog friendly pubs in Newcastle (especially with small, well behaved dogs like yours) - it's just they don't always advertise the fact. If you're not sure, just pop in and ask! Glad to hear you enjoyed it anyway and yes, come back when the weather's nice, you've barely scratched the surface so far!
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on our video. We definitely have to visit again when the weather is better..
Hope you liked it enough to click on the thumbs up 👍🏼 🙏🏼
Regards Neil + Shell 🥰
When you went down Dog Leap stairs towards the quayside if you had continued round the corner there's a nice old dog friendly pub called the red house.
Thanks David for taking the time to watch and like our video, am sure the next time we up that way we will try the red house pub 👍🏻
plenty wow factor, I live in Blaydon, about 5 miles West and never walked across theMillenium Bridge yet, great content and a thumbs up too, cheers.
😯 "WOW" Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our RUclips videos and giving them the thumbs up 👍🏼. It's very much appreciated. Due to the cold weather we never made it across the Millennium bridge either. But will be planning on visiting again later on in the year. 🥰🍻 Cheers & Beers from us 2
Hey guys, just a bit of info about the Earl Grey thing.
The column with Charles Earl Grey was the British Prime Minister in the 1830,s and he was the founder of the tea.Earl Grey.
Thank you for taking the time to watch our videos and making a comment on them. As you could have guessed we are very new to vloging and we really do need to do the research before we start ☺️ But I guess it's a learning curve so hopefully we will get better as we go along. Thanks again hope you have a great weekend. 🥰
@@yorkshiresfinestpair same here . We’re still learning too. Voiceovers can show a different angle and allow you to insert facts that you forgot in the original :)
Never thought of that 🤔 thanks again for the help and feedback it's very much appreciated 🙏👍
@@yorkshiresfinestpair and text on video (forgot to mention that :D
Hi cracking video
Thank you for your comment. Glad you liked it. Hope you follow us for the next clip coming up soon of Newbiggin-by-the-sea. 🍺
Amusing at 19:30 Standing on Grey street, down from the giagntic monument of Earl Grey, wondering why everything was named after Earl Grey... Also youve walked past dozens of pubs that are dog friendly haha. The Tyne bar is at the enterance to the ouseburn which is filled with pubs.
Thank you for taking the time to watch our RUclips channel. As you could appreciate we are not from the area and it was our first visit there so had no idea of where anything was. It would have been easier if the pubs had signs in their windows saying dog friendly as going into everyone to ask would be time consuming.
Hope you enjoyed it enough to click on the thumbs up 👍🏼 many thanks 🙏🏼🥰
Please come again soon. For future reference, most pubs up here are dog friendly… my favourite is Redhouse, during the summer they host dog days, where they invite everyone to bring their dog… they also serve dog “beer”. Recommend sitting in the keg room in the back.
Awesome 👍 thank you for taking the time to answer our blog. We will be coming back again once the weather is better. Hope you find our next blog interesting on Newbiggin-by-the-sea.. 🍺👍
England does seem a disgrace for dog friendliness. They make out they are dog friendly but they really aren’t. Apparently Germany is much more dog friendly, but then again German dogs are usually trained to behave well in public places
So close to the vampire rabbit...
🤔 Never heard of vampire rabbit. Thank you for taking the time to watch our RUclips channel. Hope you liked it enough to give us the thumbs up 👍🏼. 🥰
You passed lots of dog friendly pubs on your walkabout. You were within metres of one when you were at the castle and when you camedown the dog leap stairs. Lots of references to earl grey as you were on earl grey street. Have you heard of earl grey tea, well thats him. Just one of the things he was famous for. The big glass building is called the glass house, its mainly a musical events venue.
Hi there, thank you so much for your info, we really do appreciate it. We should do a little more research before doing these videos but this one was one of our first vlogs so I guess we have a lot to learn. We didn't expect it getting the views it has done. We are overwhelmed with the feedback from it so hopefully they will get better from here on.
Thank you again. I hoped you enjoyed it enough to click on the thumbs up 👍🏼 icon 🙏🏼🥰
Dog leap stairs were featured in the film Get Carter with Michael Caine 😮
😯 Thank you for the Info we never knew that. 👍🏼
Also thank you for watching our RUclips hope you found it enjoyable and left us a thumbs up 👍🏼. 🥰
Greggs is a North east company
We didn't know this. I guess that's why they are all over the place in that area 😂
Thank you for taking the time to watch our RUclips channel and making a comment. 😊🥰 We really do appreciate it lots..
Hope you liked it enough to click on the thumbs up 👍🏼.
The building you weren't sure what it was, is the sage building in gateshead
Thank you for the information, we really should get our facts together before we go on our next journey. But we still new to this 🥰
@@yorkshiresfinestpair It is now called The Glasshouse as Gateshead is about to build a big new arena next to it which will be called The Sage Arena as it will be sponsored by Sage Software Group. It should have been built by now but Covid and the cost of living crisis has delayed things a bit! The Glasshouse is a music centre with 2 main concert halls, the largest of which can seat around 1200 people.
Thank you for taking the time to explain this. Very much appreciated as we had no idea what it was. Funny thing is at the time I guess we could have just googled it. But we didn't 😬 think it was too cold to take my gloves off. 🥰
Wow 😂
You went past loads of Dog Friendly pubs. That one called the Bridge Hotel (where I Live) is dog friendly.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. We was searching Google for dog friendly pubs around us. But we only found 2 and it was at the other side of town from us. Next time we are in the area maybe you could show us them all & maybe buy us a beer 🍺 LoL. Thanks again. 👍
Plenty dog friendly pubs, forget Google just pop in & ask, the oldest pub in Newcastle, just off the famous Bigg Market welcomes dogs , it's The Old George , good food too
I would love to show you around Newcastle and buy you a drink. Nothing beats local knowledge, and there's none more local than me.
@@evilgeniuslobsterman5889 Sounds like a plan.. We will hold you to that offer when we come back up later on in the year.. It would be nice to meet up with someone that has more knowledge than we do... WinWin for us all.. Cheers. 🍻
Can I ask where your glasses frames are from ?
Hi, thank you for taking the time to watch & comment on our video. I bought them from a local Optician in our Home town Barnsley. It is called Barnsley Optical Unit 18C, Metro Trading Centre, Barugh Green Rd, Barugh Green, Barnsley. They do have a website if you google them. Thanks again.

Hi I used to live not far from their and yes it is fairly quiet around where you are there's really only to pubs around here the tyne the free trade inn there's not many ppl round there you might see the odd fisherman fishing the river other than that mostly ppl using the bars really safe place to go out i know it doesn't look like it but is an area of up coning prospects it's where the tall ships were held thank you for the vid and welcome to the toon lol

More pubs, less churches, bridges and statues Neil 😂
Thank you for your comment! We did try to find dog friendly pubs but couldn't find any the way we went and it was way too cold that day to be sitting outside with a beer. 🍻

Why not visit the beautiful Gateshead area one of the North East most alluring sights.
Hi thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on our videos, Today they will be a video going live at 6pm of us driving through Gateshead and visiting the angel of the north as we make our way back down south. Hope you watch it and remember to hit that like button. Thank you. 🥰
@@yorkshiresfinestpair I think they may be being sarcastic 😂
All of the 'Gateshead area' is the same?
Newcastle was a City and County in it's own right (by Royal Warrant) but the castle was still part of Northumberland so the authorities had no durisdiction around the castle. This lead to the garth being a place for theives and prostitutes
Thank you for taking the time to watch our RUclips channel and for the information about Newcastle, I'm sure many cities have the same issue with prostitution it's just the way things are these days..
Anyhow hopefully you liked it enough to subscribe and click on the thumbs up 👍🏻 for us as it does help our channel grow. 🙏🏼
