Thank you for watching our RUclips and making a comment. As always the weather wasn't on our side. But we made the most of it. 👍 Thanks again.. Neil & Shell. 🥰
Sometimes it seems a small world. I was brought up round Barnsley but spent 7 years living in Newbiggin by the sea from 2010-2017. So it doesn’t take long to find common ground. Newbiggin is a nice little town. It might have changed but when I was there every other person seemed to own a donkey. Everywhere you went there would be a donkey tethered on a patch of waiste land or grass. Over the years it did lessen cos the council got fed up of it and seized the donkeys. But just before I left the problem had resurfaced again. And tbh although I love been around animals, these donkeys weren’t cared for and I always felt sorry for them. It was like a village stuck in a time capsule. I remember one day going through nearby Ashington on the bus and seeing a horse in someone’s front garden on Hawthorn terrace and a woman on the bus burst out laughing and said “only in Ashington” 😂😂
Hi There, Thank you for watching our RUclips videos & giving so much information It was appreciated lots, The reason for our visit was because my parents were originally from Newbiggin-by-the-sea & Bedlington & we had not been there for around 40 years. As you can imagine lots have changed since then LOL. Hope you liked it enough to give us a thumbs-up as it will help our channel grow.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to make a comment. We definitely need to go back once the weather gets better. Good luck with going full time I wish it was us doing it. 🙏👍 Thanks again .
Totally agree with you 🙏🏼👍 thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on our RUclips.. Newbiggin-by-the-sea is a awesome place just wish we could have stayed here the night.. 🥰
Hiya, Thank you for the information it's very much appreciated. Hope you enjoyed watching our RUclips channel and left us a thumbs up 👍🏼 as it does help our small channel grow 🙏🏼
We visited because that's where my Mum lived many years ago. Last time we visited was before we got married which was well over 35 years ago so noticed lots had changed but also some that had not changed at all.. Was great to revisit 🥰
@@yorkshiresfinestpair i first went to newbiggin when i was a little one, staying on the caravan park at church point. the caravans were proper ones not the statics you see today. Green they were. The maritime centre never existed then. beside the cresswell arms is the indian restaurant. when i was little that was an amusement arcade where my mum played prize bingo covering the bingo boards with beer bottle tops. the coble fishing boats were moored on the beach. On holiday there my dad found £5 note and he thought he was rich. A lot indeed has changed. However the church hasnt.
I have a soft-spot for Newbiggen-by-the-sea. The weather did it no favours on the day you visited. My guess is that, prpoerty-wise it will become somewhat yuppiefied in the next ten years.

@yorkshiresfinestpair Ironically both my grandads were Yorkshiremen, mam's dad, Percy Sutherland, from Beverly and dad's, Richard Burns from Dewsbury so I feel like I have a foot in each place too 😉
@kathchandler4919 LoL it just so happens both my parents (Shell) are from up Northumberland my dad lived in Bedlington and my mum was from Newbiggin-by-the-sea, hence the reason for our visit up north. As I had never been to Newcastle until now. ☺️ Thanks again for the interaction on our RUclips channel 🥰
@@yorkshiresfinestpairbut with Northumbrian blood running through your veins, both my Grandad's were Yorkshire born but chose Tyneside & Northumberland!
Park life is, like Pontins & Butlins before it (although a cheap version) a cancer on folks choices , can't stand them (think they're now called Lovat but that's simply to cover their tracks 😢
