Love your review. If I didn't have my Forza already, I would now consider buying one. It's now my 6th month of commuting to/from work with it and I enjoy every minute of it.
Hey MrKiddo As you guessed, a scooter review is not the kind of vids that I was expecting for. But you made it fun, and I really enjoyed it. Keep going ;)
Glad you've enjoyed it! 😊 Scooters and Harleys are always sensitive subjects. On the one hand, some of my subscribers are themselves Harley and scooter riders, or curious to know more about them, so they like those videos which are usually amongst my most viewed ones. On the other hand, some other subscribers don't care at all about scooters or Harleys, and don't want to hear anything about them. I did my best to satisfy everyone by making a funny / atypical review video... 😉
I bought the 300 Forza it's ideal for two up. The mirrors fold in while filtering, the windscreen is electric & it's the first scooter with traction control. Best scooter ever for town commuting & trips out of town on the weekends. The only negative, the suspension could be better.
Thanks for the info. In France, it's under 125cc. So you can see many of those on highways in urban areas, especially around Paris where congestion is a real issue...
An unusual and very funny review. "The suspension feels harsh over bumps....." i had to laugh when i watched you almost getting launched off the scooter, as i know first hand now what these bumps in Paris could be like ;-). Anyway, seeing this footage makes me want to take the Kawasaki and head on to Paris full throttle.... Maybe next year... Ride Safe MrKiddo ;-) 👍👊
Great video ,beautiful scooter but pretty expensive for 5000€, it’s only 125cc ,you can buy suzuki burgman 200cc with pretty much the same price....but riding in PARIS is so beautiful even with an old 80’s style 50cc scooter...!!!keep making these video and let us travel through them with you in Paris...!!!!
Cheers, glad you enjoy my videos! 😊 You're right, it's expensive for a 125cc. I guess manufacturers take advantage of the legislation, as people with the European A1 licence are limited to 125cc bikes, so they can't choose the Burgman 200. Market distortion... 😉
I didn’t know that about the a1 category driving license...in Greece you have to take exams for motorbike license even for a 50cc scooter independently if you have already a car driving license ....I don’t know how it works the system in France..??
@@panagiotis617 In France, you don't need licence to ride 50cc scooters. You can ride a 125cc/15hp bike with a car driving licence if you follow a 7-hour training course, no exam (this is the A1 licence). When you get your motorcycle licence (20-hour training course & 3 exams), you can only ride bike with maximum 48 hp during the first two years (this is a A2 licence), and after an additional 7-hour training course (no exam), you finally get your full motorcycle licence (A licence).
I have the Burgman 200 and it is a great scooter for power and consumption. The extra 75cc makes it easy to keep up with fast traffic on A roads and it also has huge underseat storage. But, it has a problem. The seat is low but the platform is high so unless your legs are very short your knees are too high.
8:33 Ah you see this is why it is illegal to signal someone to cross the road when you stop at a crossing here in the UK. It puts pressure on the pedestrian to cross and potentially ignore other threats like other cars that aren't stopping.
Thanks for the review and the english subtitles. Thanks also for riding around in the cold weather. Did you get your bike back from the dealers or did you keep this one! 👍🇦🇺
You could do a Skateboard review and I'd still watch and enjoy it! I had a Burgman 125 for many years. I still think that a scooter is the best for ridind in the city
Thanks! I did a bicycle review once ( ruclips.net/video/y7-BZAG3Hgg/видео.html ) 😉 I agree with you: I prefer motorcycles, but I also like scooters and think they are objectively more suitable for a city use...
What I don't really like about the sound of these 125 scooters is that every time you get going from a standstill it sounds as if you are wringing every bit of power out of the engine. It's just like flooring it with a car every time, not too healthy for the engine. Probably isn't that bad as it works with a CVT but still would make me go crazy.
Interesting point, though on my factory standard ('no-mods') Yamaha Zuma (BWS) 125, I've never had to resort to anything near 'full-throttle' starts in pulling away from, or (if wished) keeping ahead of traffic.
Cheers :) The 125 is okay if you don't need to ride more than a few miles on urban highways during your commute. If you plan to leave urban areas, the 300 would be more suitable ;)
I rode once a PCX a few years ago, it's a nice scooter with a very competitive price. It's a better deal than the Forza in my opinion (the Forza 125 is 70% more expensive than the PCX 125 here, that's too much for 3 extra horse power, a keyless ignition system and a slightly more qualitative design...).The European version has 25cc less than the American version because of our local regulation: 2-wheelers up to 125cc & 15hp can also be ridden by car driving licence holders.
MrKiddo - In the USA we must have a motorcycle license for anything over 50 cc. Once you have it, you can have any cc bike. Wish we could filter through traffic. Not allowed except in California.
It has abs, but it hasn't traction control. The Forza 300 has both. TBH, a traction control is pretty useless on a 125, as it isn't powerful enough to make you lose traction...
Information rich, factual, funny and Honda should pay for you some commission because tomorrow morning I'm calling the Honda dealer to order one Forza instead of Yamaha XMAX :) The guy in the Rolls can sit his ass to square in a jam
Salut !
Indeed, 15 hp... According to the European regulations, it's exactly the maximum allowed for the 125cc 2-wheelers that can be ridden without a motorcycle license (you still need a car driving license though).
Indeed, the French law doesn't allow it. New cars are marketed with tint glass at the rear only. However, this law isn't really enforced, so we also often see cars with tinted glass at the front.
