This lady has the best intros. Everyone reactors should follow suit. No 4 min intros, just let’s get to the reaction.

Four minutes and you're lucky. Some of them drone on for 10 or 15 minutes before they get to it with me screaming Just Press Play!! Then I get impatient and fast forward until I see the window with the movie. I just love her fast intro.

Stephen Sommers was one of a kind, writing and directing his own blockbusters. His movies always looked more expensive that they actually were, to the point that the quality of the VFX could not always match the level of generosity he had in term of production value and spectacle. He's still alive and well but it seems there is no room for him in today's Hollywood. I miss him.

I saw this last week and what makes it great is the introductions of 2 main characters. Rick is introduced as a brave, loyal gunfighter with street smarts who knows deaths near by so doesn't mind taking chances while Evey is book smart , sheltered , but impulsive grasping for adventure. the 2 balance each other brilliantly. If this was made today they'd be trying to out do each other and that would be boring to watch.

I really miss how female characters used to be written. Childhood characters like kim possible, raven, starfire etc were great and still are...honestly male characters were written in a way that was very annoying(stereotypical stoic, unfeeling, constantly saving/dealing with a female character that's written to be utterly useless). I agree, this is a great balance. They bounce off each other very well. Even in the sequel, Evie had fights scenes but there was no competition between her and Rick or some other big, burly guy. She had her own storyline and the balance with Rick was still there. The way female characters are written now is honestly on purpose. There's so much negative feedback from the audience yet they still continue to do it.

This here is what we call a ‘timeless film.” To this day it feels fresh, the humour lands, the acting is spot on, and the writing is golden.

Jerry Goldsmith composed a very beautiful and effective music but stated during a concert that he thought the movie sucked. Unbeknownst to him, the director, who was a big fan of his work, was among the audience that night. For The Mummy Returns, the director hired Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future) instead.

Great movie. This is a fun adventure movie. They don't make movies like the anymore . The last fun adventure movie is Prince Of Persia 2010. The Mummy 2 is also a good movie but the third one is horrible. The modern remake with Tom cruz is very different but it is decent and more horror. You should also see Blast from the Past with Brandon Frazer. Also The National Treasure movies.

  •  2 года назад +3

80s and 90s was a period of time in which movies producer had good taste mixing comedy and horror. This was the first movie that not. Based on the trailer, many people went to cinema to watch an horror movie, but they frustrated when they finally realized it is a comedy, while other people, thought that it is supposed to be a comedy and they got in shock with those disturbing scenes of this movie. That's a proof that producer was not successful mixing horror and comedy in such a good matter, as it was the style of the previous 80-90s movies.

There was a 2017 reboot starring Tom Cruise that was just awful!
The film was a box office disappointment $400 million dollars against a $200 million dollar budget and it's considered to be the worst movie of Tom Cruise's career. It was supposed to the starting point of Universal's horror version of the MCU called Dark Universe.
The MuMmy 1999 is the best version so far.
Wes Craven, John Landis, John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper, Clive Barker, George Romero, Mick Garris, and Joe Dante were considered for Directing the new Mummy film.
Stephen Sommers was picked after his last film DEEP RISING, bombed at the box office.
Sommers said in an interview that it's not only a remake to the 1932 original but called "a cross between Indiana Jones Meets Jason And The Argonauts."
Before Brendan Fraser was cast as O'Connell, Matthew McConaughey, Tom Cruise, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone were considered.
The film was a box office and critical success, making $420 million dollars against a $75 million dollar budget.

Their milk is unique as it’s completely digestible by those with lactose intolerance and there’s even a camel dairy in TX I believe it is. In Arab poems beautiful women and camels are described the same way, particularly the eyes. They’re pretty cool creatures
