I'm reminded of a picture I took of my brother at a local lake. He was wading in the water as he moved towards a sunset. 11 months after I took that picture, he was killed in a car accident. This was the song we danced to at my wedding Dec 2010…… I remember telling myself to stop for a minute and look around at family and friends all together, all happy - for just a few hours that night, everything was perfect - it was a perfect moment …. What I would give to be back in that moment, even if it was only for a minute; to see my grandmother, laughing, to hug her and breath her smell in just one more time ….. my husband ended up being a cruel, cold and abusive man - the very first time was that night after the wedding …. and just got worse …… 4 years later he had terrorised my son and I and then was gone …..
