To my wife who passed at age 36. We will meet again. I see her in my dreams every now and then. She's just standing off in the distance and we lock eyes and she smiles. Then she's gone

The Love of my life passed at age 45 from cancer, and I swear I want no other woman then her. I know I will see her again in Gods Kingdom along with our 5 children that survived her. Love you April, when I meant forever I meant it. Miss you every day until then.-John
Your absolutely 💯 right about the energy & joy. I saw them at LCA in Detroit on Wednesday. Broke JayZ attendance record and the attendance, atmosphere, the stage was the same as the delta video at the O2. It wasn't this album but Delta, & it was truly one of best experiences of my life. Almost spiritual 🙏 ✨️ 🙌. They come up in the crowd & play. I was right there. Feet away
It was amazing the best Red Rocks show I’ve ever been to! My hair was standing up the entire time, they were shooting for HBO at this concert. It waS THE BEST SHOW IVE EVER SEE

Dear Mumford & Sons, My name is Emma and I live in Ireland. I first saw you at Electric Picnic in 2010 and I just fell in love with you! In 2012 I went to see you in Salthill Galway (during my leaving cert) with my dad after my mother bought us the tickets. It was one of the best days. In 2013 my boyfriend brought me to see you in the Phoenix Park and it was by far the best day off my life. I was just mesmerized and it was just so surreal. You seem to only get better! I suffer from Cystic Fibrosis and spend weeks in hospital at a time. Before procedures when I'm nervous I put in my earphones and listen to your songs to relax me. In April this year my Mam passed suddenly at the age of 40. My heart broke. The nights I felt most down I listened to you guys and it just always makes me feel better. My dad got me tickets this year to see you.. I'm currently in hospital and im hoping to get out Tuesday so I can go see you in Dublin Wednesday. I just want to say thanks for being you! Stay glorious

It's not your fault and he knows that, he loves you as much as u love him, I lost my mom 2 years ago I can feel your pain. Plz don't blame your self some things are just beyond us.
Gabriel...I hope that your sadness hasn't lasted long. My wager is that you are young and fell pretty hard for this guy...the pain will subside soon enough. I had identical experiences many years ago - then on November 24, 1979 I met 'him'. Our pairing was totally out of balance: He - 18 years old, I - 34 years old! However, something was inevitable about our being together - love is too 'weak' a term to use that would describe our relationship. Against the odds we will celebrate 40 years as a couple next month - November 24, 2019.
Same whenever I hear this song it just makes me cry for no apparent reason. But whenever one of my pets die I give them a song because we don't have funerals for pets. My first cat that I've known since I was born died 2 years ago at 17, it took me a year to get through that grief, I remember him by the song Glorious. I owned another cat last year after my cat before Be'lal died and her name was Masana, she didn't even live till 1 before dying also 2 years ago, and I haven't been able to give her a song, but this is her song.
Love how in the moment the band and the audience is. It's like everyone truly and completely belongs in that moment and there's no past, present, future but just the music and sensation of 'existing'. Which is really quite rare to feel, every moment just kinda fleets away but some rare moments you feel your existence is imprinted in the history of this universe. That you've lived all your life in that single experience. It's ephemeral but so damn worth it.
My friend loved this song. He died almost a year ago. He would always play this song whenever he could. Now that he is in a happier place, he will wait for me. I love him so much. :)
Our beautiful dog walked his last walk down here with us today 16/05/24, this song was randomly playing on our way home afterwards ❤ So i'm leaving this here in the hope that in week's, month's and year's later when people like it i'll be reminded of my amazin best friend Buster xx
Dec 2018, my wife decorated our mountain house like every Christmas for the last 40 years, she was very happy but she said she was not going to put a Christmas tree up that time... 5 days latter I got a call, she was at a hospital.. me and my son drove on I-5 north to Sacramento, we found her in bed on life suport sistem..I was not sure if she was abble to heard us saying good by, I gave a signal to the doctor and left the room... We came back to an empty home, cold.. very cold, weeks latter she came home to stay in the grounds, the Beautiful gardens she love do much recived her for ever. You see, I was told in 2004 by our doctor that she only had 6 months left to live, God let her stay 14 more years. RIP Judy
O shit dude, im sorry, this made me cry, i had the same experiance with my grandad, drove 1400km to say goodbye 3 hours before he passed away. Love you man
Omg I'm sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. I pray for you and your family. My brother in law was murdered about a week ago and it has been very tough for my husband and our family.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this. My daughter told me to listen. All I could do is cry but I should've listened then. I failed you and I'm so sorry.
Such a great song. I hear all of the inspiration behind all of the stories. I have my own, be good to your wife, be good to you families, they are irreplaceable.
I waited 2 years for my secret love, we finally eloped to Scotland and got married with just 1 witness. Still together 23 years later... worth the wait...!
this is one of those songs that you havent heard in forever, yet one second through youve memorized it all over again and the memories come flooding back
Every word in this song could be a reflection of my life in some profound way or another. Reminds me of the Lord as I wait for his will in my life to be accomplished, bas well as his will in this world to be accomplished. I will wait patiently for his return...
Hi everyone I'd just like to say that no matter what you may be going through in your life you are AMAZING and you are totally worth it! Have a great day (or night depending on where you live) :) :) :)
Red Rocks is a fantastic experience. Its a spiritual experience just being there. Like watching a sunrise over the ocean or something. The place is just buzzing, even when there are no people. Put a good concert in there, and you have a memory for life.
This song and performance is something beyond that. Its almost like a state of mind that makes you feel so much you can't actually comprehend what is happening to your mind. The transitions to the chorus just hit something inside you. I don't know what to say, besides it made me feel something I didn't know I could feel from a song. Amazing.
I never heard of them before I met my gf. she played for me once, and I though it was a corny song... but one day she dragged me out to Coney Island for one of their concerts, IVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INTO THEM SINCE!!! I listened to ALOT of their songs for the first time live.. They are AMAZING!!! definitely see them in concert, evey one of them is like this in some way! ( ps, I'm black :-). )
10 years ago today March 13th my Dad passed away from cancer it wasn't a long battle but one fought very hard only being diagnosed February 1st...but every time I was in the car going to visit him in the hospital and at home this song played on the radio...It also played right after I had to say good bye to him one last time...this song is very sentimental to me...always will be...
You’re a wonderful sibling. I went through heroin addiction as well as alcohol & many other drugs but heroin was my drug of choice. I didn’t have family in my corner. He’s fortunate to have you. I’ve been clean since 2002. My thoughts are with you and your brother. I hope he gets clean. Hugs.
@alan A comment like that is water off a ducks back to people who have been through hell. They have heard it a thousand times and daily they call themselves far worse than you can even imagine. It's unlikely that you will get a reaction here - perhaps a chuckle and a wry smile.
What a song, makes me happy, sad, feel moved and excited and a bit nostalgic, how is that possible. Great song and it never gets old. The audience is so excited it’s amazing to watch. I miss these guys, they changed music.
"I Will Wait" Well, I came home Like a stone And I fell heavy into your arms These days of dust Which we've known Will blow away with this new sun But I'll kneel down, Wait for now And I'll kneel down, Know my ground And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you So break my step And relent Well, you forgave and I won't forget Know what we've seen And him with less Now in some way shake the excess 'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you Now I'll be bold As well as strong And use my head alongside my heart So tame my flesh And fix my eyes A tethered mind freed from the lies And I'll kneel down, Wait for now I'll kneel down, Know my ground Raise my hands Paint my spirit gold And bow my head Keep my heart slow 'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you
I just have to say that this one is for my mom. I wished that she would have heard it. But, I know my mom. She would have frigging loved it! Thank you boys
I literally love that crowd, like look at them. Almost no one is on there phone, just enjoying the music and feeling it. God I love that, just them and the music. No technology in between. You and the music. That's what I love.
Coming from a musician’s perspective and one who picks a banjo, this song is one of the best banjo songs in existence and of of the greatest song of all time. It makes me feel an unending joy to play that song again and again.
the memories this being a back....wish things were the same as they were back then, so many mistakes have costed suffering to not only me, but my wife daughter and family. addiction is no joke I pray that anyone reading this battling with the disease will find peace and stay strong :/
Hey man, don't punish yourself for your past mistakes. I know it hurts and you wish you could change things. Keep your head up keep looking forward and be true to yourself.
I think now this is one of the most perfect songs I've ever heard. It's got the innocence of the Beatles and The energy of U2. Anybody could like this song from any age. It keeps going off the deep end. It keeps you on the edge of wanting more
The most magical concert I have ever been to was in a hot summer field in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The smallest town in the world, and I was lucky enough for them to come here. It was the best experience of my life. Pure happiness. A couple of weeks later I was flipping around on my TV guide, and I noticed "Live in Glastonbury: Mumford & Sons" so I thought it was crazy that 2 weeks ago I had just seen them live, and now they're on the biggest stage in Europe. I still feel like they came to play in my backyard. That's how small this town is. And that's why the experience was so special.
Wait isn"t the smallest town in the world in Europe(Croatia) . I checked google and it says that the smallest city in the world is Hum(That"s in croatia). And im not trying to offend you just correct you.
This is to the man who has my heart, who showed me what love is, how beautiful it can me. Our relationship was hard and we both lost ourselves. Regardless of everything that happened, I want you to know I will always care for you. I love you, FPG ❤️ forever and always. You are my home, I will wait for you. For us. I know this isn’t the end of our story.
My high school sweetheart, fiancé and best friend passed away on his birthday, August 29, 2016. Not only was Mumford and Sons one of our favorite bands, this particular one was “our song”. It played when he passed away (we were suppose to hang out so I was in my car waiting on him to pull in my driveway but he never made it). Since his passing, I hear this song on his birthday and on mine (6 days apart). 10 years later and this song still soothes my soul. ❤️
@@hendrikdebruin4012 not sure, the driver fled the scene and still is an unsolved case. It was a hit and run. His name is Joshua Nathan Turner of Indiana if anyone wants to read the news article.
When I hear this song, it feels as if my Mom isn't really dead, as if we're listening together. And, of course, she isn't really gone. She lives on in me, in my siblings, in my children and theirs. She lives on in the clouds, the moon, and in every leaf that catches a breeze. Powerful song.
Babel is definitely the best album I ever heard, every song hits my soul and most of them still bring me to tears all these years after it's release. Literally 10 years later and it's almost better then it was before.
This song is such an incredible expression of how so many of us have felt, are feeling, will come to feel… and when you can’t always find the words - it’s music like this that deeply resonates because it says all the things we don’t know how to begin to convey - music for me is a drug for expression, because it’s the most freeing feeling to connect with a artist or song - that sums up an overwhelming emotion or experience deeply personal to you - yet you’ve never even met this artist / person. The connection is deeply powerful in that sense. As an artist in a different medium , my respect love and appreciation for music has carried me from a young age to adulthood , with a better understanding , more compassion for others and it’s a friend I can always count on. This is definitely on the list of life songs you should have.
When you read something written in this manner . It gives one such hope that there are in fact people out there, who are looking out or after others in whatever small way . Thank you mate.

This song makes me think of someone I've loved for one and a half years. He just doesn't feel the same for me 😭😭
Gabriel...I hope that your sadness hasn't lasted long.
Same
But I'll kneel down
Wait for now
And I'll kneel down
Know my ground
And I will wait
I will wait for you

To my mom, who died a year ago. I still see her in my dreams and we talk about the day that has passed as if she was still in my home.

Me too!
Love this song, the energy and soul of it. There’s something subtly powerful about it. 💗💎💫
Lead the way
What a beautiful sentiment Ipsita. My love from America.

Good song, good video and very good singer. 😊😊❤❤❤🎉
RIP Judy
Thats an amazing thing to have lived longer than expected. Praise God! IT had to be Jesus....
You found a good person and she will be forever in your heart
My friend I am so sorry, I’m glad you had those years with her also, death doesn’t mean loss it means change, she is still with you! 🙏
This band is mind blowing, a unique treasure and songs like this are up with the best of the best iconic songs of all time.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this. My daughter told me to listen. All I could do is cry but I should've listened then. I failed you and I'm so sorry.
What happened??
Such a great song. I hear all of the inspiration behind all of the stories. I have my own, be good to your wife, be good to you families, they are irreplaceable.
I waited 2 years for my secret love, we finally eloped to Scotland and got married with just 1 witness. Still together 23 years later... worth the wait...!

Amazing.
Chances are that was God reaching out to you! And I mean the Living God Jesus.
Thank you Jesus. 🙌
oh keep praising him
The only single issue with watching this on video is that you know it's already happened and that you weren't there.
I saw them at a music fest they were amazing 😃
I wasn't there and it's killing me
I never heard of them before I met my gf. she played for me once, and I though it was a corny song... but one day she dragged me out to Coney Island for one of their concerts, IVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INTO THEM SINCE!!! I listened to ALOT of their songs for the first time live.. They are AMAZING!!! definitely see them in concert, evey one of them is like this in some way! ( ps, I'm black :-). )
What does being black have to do with anything? lol.
hey dont be racist...
My sincerest condolences. May your daddy rest in peace and his light illuminate like a rippled through your entire life.

A comment like that is water off a ducks back to people who have been through hell. They have heard it a thousand times and daily they call themselves far worse than you can even imagine. It's unlikely that you will get a reaction here - perhaps a chuckle and a wry smile.

"I Will Wait"
Well, I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of dust
Which we've known
Will blow away with this new sun
But I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
And I'll kneel down,
Know my ground
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
So break my step
And relent
Well, you forgave and I won't forget
Know what we've seen
And him with less
Now in some way shake the excess
'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
Now I'll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
A tethered mind freed from the lies
And I'll kneel down,
Wait for now
I'll kneel down,
Know my ground
Raise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slow
'Cause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
Thanks for typing the lyrics...they're beautiful.

Coming from a musician’s perspective and one who picks a banjo, this song is one of the best banjo songs in existence and of of the greatest song of all time. It makes me feel an unending joy to play that song again and again.
Also, the banjo solo in the end with the brass section sends chills up my spine every time I pick it. Thank God for this group of amazing people

I checked google
and it says that the smallest city in the world is Hum(That"s in croatia). And im not trying to offend you just correct you.

May the peace of God be with you always.

When I hear this song, it feels as if my Mom isn't really dead, as if we're listening together. And, of course, she isn't really gone. She lives on in me, in my siblings, in my children and theirs. She lives on in the clouds, the moon, and in every leaf that catches a breeze. Powerful song.
My dad comes and talks to me in my dreams. I know this is just my neurons firing, but I still listen.

Listening to this on Christmas Eve 2019
I’m back on Christmas Eve 2020
❤️❤️
Have you made such a list? Will you please share it here? Thanks 🙏🏼
