Am I the only one who cries every time I watch the video? Like... she's just so humble, she wasn't expenting it and her speech was so honest and simple. I hadn't even watched the book of mormon the first time I watched this and I felt super happy for her, you can tell she's worked her way to the top.
My friend and I got to meet her after the show the other night and she and the rest of the cast were THE nicest people taking pictures and signing autographs and thanking us for coming and asking us if we liked the show... as if they weren't the biggest thing on Broadway.. Kudos for such a talented sweet and humble cast!!
@CleveNMLActor Well, she and Nikki were the frontrunners; Laura won the Critcs and Drama Desk awards weeks before. However, even a tad surprised, she was happy for Nikki (per her Facebook). (Personally, I would rather either; both are wonderful.)
@fountainchain126 Laura has her Tony though so I don't feel sympathy for her. I always root for the underdogs at awards shows and to see that Nikki won was such a great feeling :)
Ozzie is Nikki's nephew (her brother's son). He was born with health problems, but I believe he's now doing better than was expected by the doctors, hence referring to him as a "miracle". As far as I know, she has no children of her own.
now ozzy also has Celenes kidney and he almost died a couple of times and now he has a little brother, mosses and ik this because Doug (her brother) is my dads best friend and we see each other all the time at my house and theirs in NY and we go on vacation every year and her now fiancé came last year
