Fr, JJ was saying it like he would be mad at the team for that and he was actually mad at himself. It takes a great dude to realize their wrongs and see the error of his ways
Not gonna lie, this might be the best player interview I’ve ever watched. Just seems like a super cool dude with an incredible journey that takes nothing for granted. Already liked the way he plays but now I just like the guy and his personality. Glad y’all got him on!

@@Abbisch without PJ we don’t do ANYTHING that we accomplished. PJ is the reason why we pushed GS to the brink a few times. I hate how casual fans don’t understand it.
@@timothymodede8834 you’re out of your mind lol. If donte is in that lineup, who will guard kd? Giannis? Lol giannis doesnt have the toughness and the quick feet to guard kd unlike pj.
Dude, PJ is so much more likeable than I imagined him to be based on his tough, understated play. Very thoughtful and great charisma. This man needs his own pod or TV job after he is done in the league.
PJ is the last of a dying breed. My brother stood out defensively in this era where you can’t even breathe to hard on a super star without drawing a foul.
PJ will always be cherished for what he did in Milwaukee. It’s a blue collar town and sometimes you gotta clock in and do the job nobody wants but everyone needs. Really easy to cheer for
One of the best episodes yet. PJ sounds like he's been through a lot and his experiences seems to give him more angles to approach his craft. A respectable fellow indeed.
Wow, i knew Pj's screamed Heat culture but he him self is the heat organization strives to be, thanks for doing the dirty work big. Easily became one of my favorite players with this podcast. Whenever i review heat games I'll make sure to mention all of the little things that you do on the court because your job is not "thankless" anymore
JJ is a great at this. Articulate, insightful, even funny. Hope he realizes how much better of a platform this is to 'do your thing' instead of getting lobotomized at ESPN.
We need more overseas stories and stories about the transition back to the NBA. He has a lot of knowledge to offer. I hope we get to glean from him in the future.
Awesome interview. PJ is a real one. The mistakes made, the lessons learned, the chips accumulated, the mountains climbed. Could listen to the dude all day with nothing but respect. Another home run for the pod.
I love PJ man. He's such a real one. I've been a big fan of PJ since his days in Phoenix. The way he plays and puts everything on the floor. He's so consistent because you know he will bring it every night. I have so much respect for him.
This was awesome. Nice to hear the emotion of some professional competitors. It’s great to see players still strive to win and the adversity many of these players have shown. Shoutout to y’all and PJ! Best of luck with ESPN!
JJ’s reaction to PJ explaining the feeling of the weight of your career falling off when you win the ‘chip…. Priceless!! You’re a winner JJ!! That attitude is what all winners carry!! You don’t gotta get the trophy to be a winner…. You’re a winner long before… and even if you never… get the ring!

KD is one of those players that will always get their points no matter what. PJ is though enough to make players like KD to at least somewhat work for it..
@@Nothing-nf8ve Shaq has high phrases for Giannis after all. And it's clearly evident how good of a scorer he is. He's very nimble for his size. He slashes his way through the rim, catching bodies while he's at it. Quite the polar opposite of KD who, on the other hand, has jumpshots for days.
PJ and Draymond are so similar in what they do for their teams. Nothing flashy, but the ultimate guy to do all the dirty work. Will always be underappreciated, but when they're not out there for your team, you notice something is really off with the team.

Yeah, it's crazy the journey this guy took to get to where he's at. To actually get drafted in a different Era where he didn't fit, go overseas for so many years, somehow find a way to make it back in the NBA, and grinded all the way to the top to win a ring? Never heard of before....for most people who go overseas, that's a blackhole where more players than not, NEVER....never come back to the NBA again, yet alone to come back and make themselves useful a 2nd go around, and bettering a team to win a chip. Nothing but respect for this dude man.
I agree with a lot of the other people here saying that this was easily one of the best athlete interviews I’ve ever watched, loved every second of it, it was funny, emotional, and inspiring to hear PJ’s story
