My house, how do I know you?
Hi freind
Nice video
My focus mk2 2007
Goes unieven and uses to much oil.
Troubleshoot shows ,
one sparkplug are defect- changed.
Oil inside plugs???
Changed oil to w10/60
Find leak in gasket area - will be changed wknd.
What do you think , is it enough?
Yes, it took me not even a day to do it, it's probably those gaskets that go around the spark plugs under the valve cover gasket. Let me know if you have a question, will be glad to help you out.
@@JCMotiveGarage thanks for quick answer.
I got hard to think that oil leak does this unieven engine, it realy shack hard. It does not give me power when driving and gaspedal in bottom.
could lucas oil stop leak work? did you use rtv sealer as well?
I don’t know it it would re condition the rubber O rings, yes I used some RTV on the corner of the cams seals
How did you clean the oil out? Mia
With some absorbing rags and some brake clean, sprayed on a lint free rag
What is the torque spec and pattern on the valve cover?
60 inch lbs, it a little more than hand tighten, and the pattern is middle to out, hand tighten first
Fel-pro is ok I have a 03 wagon 2.3 ztw I use only the OEM gasket quality is much better last a lot longer and does not cost to much more I had one dont for me a long time ago befor I became A tech and it lasted less then a year. but that may have been the shop who did it there always in a rush and the rest is history never again will I let them touch my car also I went oem on plugs motorcraft plugsare not much more then the auto light but much better go oem and you wont have any problems but that is just me.
How much have you torqued the spark plugs please
11ft lbs, but you can just tighten them to hand tight and then a 1/4 turn using a 3/8s ratchet.

Great detailed vid. How has the gaskets held up? Wondering if i should get the new plastic valve cover as well. I feel that would warp over time.
Any info you have will be greatly appreciated.
The gasket held up after it was replaced, there are a few different choices/ brands. It definitely helped it run better no more oil on the spark plugs. The car had just about 120,000 miles on it and was still holding up just fine.
