Thank you for sharing this! Im so happy and proud of you! I almost cried bc i felt you how it have to take "time" to be finally done with smoking habbit! Slaaay gurl, keep on going!!!!
It is easy to quit smoking. Mark Twain said he quit hundreds of times. I quit every night, until morning. Last time I quit was truly the last time, and I have not smoked for 7.5 years. It was the best thing I could do for my health, to quit. My olfactory sense has especially improved, if not my sense of humor.
this video is exactly what i was looking for. thankyou so much for sharing this. im here 8 days since i quit and its actually been amazingly easy. since day 1. no cravings. but only bcuz i wanted to quit so bad and i was too strong mentally, and after all, theres no such thing as cigarette addiction. its all in the head and i think thats the battle you and i overcame sister💪🏻🤟🏻
@@rabiasarfraz9644 you don't need luck, Rabia - you just need yourself to stick to your commitment and to in those tough moments of temptation, remember WHY you are quitting! You can do it!
4 days in and it seems like today and yesterday ive had the strongest cravings, it always seems like its when i have 100 millions things to do that once, ooooh its tough but i do deep breathing excercises that really help. stay strong everyone, we got this
Thanks for this I am on day seven and I’ve been crying and just feeling awful today , but I want to push through and never go back . It feels like will this ever end but I am looking forward to the day I can be free .
Be proud of yourself - you have come a long way. It does end, there is a light at the end of the tunnel... you just have to go through the mud first. Trust me, it will pass. Just keep hanging on, holding on, pushing through until you reach that point when YOU ARE FREE. It will come. You got this. Come back to this video whenever you have doubts. @@KristinaSalas thank you so much 😊 I will do that I think I was supposed to find your video and you have given me hope that I can be free from this addiction! ❤️
Yes every smoker thinks they cannot quit never ever..But in this just 4 days of quiting, belive me.. i can relate to this and that intense amount of feeling trying to burst with confident.if any smoker is reading this.. Just do it dont think for right time you will get second life to write it for your self.. Just lie youself that if you smoke one more you will die right away there is no other option and slowly as you begin to understand the benifit within 3-4 days just try be motivated with youtube or whatever.. CAZ right after 4 days i have felt this way.. I m very very very much excited about 16 month and rest of my life.
Man I had quit for 18 months and then I got tempted by one cigarette, I thought that I could just smoke it and that would be it. Slowly but surely I became a pack-a-day smoker again within a few weeks, Now I’ve made the decision to quit again so I’m looking for motivation! Guys, never be tempted by a single cig EVER !
congratulations ! so happy for you , i'm now seriously thinking of quitting , and i dot know what the heck i'm waiting for . i have quitted before for about 10 months and i felt so amazing , confidence , my anxiety disappeared i stoped coughing all the time , i just felt so amazing and healthy . and i really miss that feeling now . so i think i'm going to decide a day for quiting as soon as possible . thank you for the encouregement kristina .
On my 19th day without a cigarette!! Unfortunately, it took me getting hospitalized with covid to actually quit but hey, I will take it!! I have not had the craving and I pray to continue this path.. so proud of myself!! Been smoking for about 20 long years!!! And I’m tired of it!!!
Amazing miah, a win is a win, whatever it takes you've done it and made that decision. Good luck and I send you all the vibes to keep you strong in your decision abd direction of stopping.
I have been trying to quit for the past 2 weeks. Did did go almost 2 full days without a smoke and then down to 4 and 2 per day after that. Yesterday I did 6 sticks. My last 2 were 10:30pm. I'm almost 24h today without one. I'm kicking this damn habit man. I hate it. Update: 4 days, no cig, I can't believe I'm actually doing it 😀
amazing!!! be clear on your reasons why for quitting and harness those in the moments when the cravings kick in - they become your shield and walking stick through the worst of it. You got this!
Just a quick update; I’m have made it to day 64 and am doing well. Not bad since I live with a smoker and have easy access to tobacco products. It’s nice being able to breathe again.
I'm 33 YO and I'm on week 3! The thing that's helped me the most is replacing my bad habit with a good one. Running is great! I could barely get a few feet without stopping when I started. Just hit 30 minutes on my 5k time! I couldn't have done that smoking! 🚭👍🏃♂️
I'm going to be 45 next month and my quit date was September 14, 2022. I haven't taken another puff since and we are now in February 25, 2023. I must say that I feel great and I don't miss smoking a cigarette at all. I know that my husband is proud of the fact that I no longer smoke. I plan on staying smokefree for life.
I smoked a pack every 3 days for 15 years. I just quit Aug 1st 2022. Ive been clean 5 days. I just want smokers face to go away. Black eyes, skin discoloration, bags, enlarged pores and forehead wrinkles. I've been working out non stop for 4 months, drinking tea and water, eating 2 bananas a day and mixed nuts. I hope this helps to stay clean
Yoo dude thats great to read, I quit 14 days ago and feel much better already, I honestly don’t think about smoking anymore and have seen a lot of improvement in my skin, its really the main reason for the characteristics of the skin you described. One other thing I am really happy about is the easy breathing, as well as all the time that I have left to do other things then smoking. My life really changed for the better, I hope you can also stay clean and keep continuing this path to a better quality of life! 💪🤝 Cheers from the Netherlands! 🇳🇱
@@reneypadilla8606 Thanks, Reney - it's been a long process in gaining the "right" perspective - essentially it boils down to how can I take responsibility for anything/everything which empowers me to be the director of my own life.
So true...For so long I would trick my brain into finding excuses to justify my drinking or smoking. But it was all a lie. Eventually I forgot how to deal or cope with stress or problems alltogether. I was no longer directing my life or even living in the moment for that matter. I was just a puppet and alcohol was pulling the strings. Now that im in recovery and living clean...life is so much sweeter and meaningful. Im learning to be present for all liges moments again...good or bad.

I am getting crazy haha, there are 7 days without cigarettes, the withdraw crisis is really hard, but I am gonna over it. Congrats for your success in this challenge.
Awesome Cris... just know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and those moments when the craving gets really hard, breathe, call someone and KNOW it WILL pass! You just got to prevent yourself from acting from the craving and letting it pass.
Awesome Kaitlyn, you can do it! Be gentle but firm also knowing you may go through difficult moments but just remember, they will PASS and there is another side to this! I wish you all the best in your quitting journey. I know you can do it because I did it!
I haven't smoked in 6 months. It still blows my mind. My husband still smokes nonstop, inside and that's super frustrating. He's not ready to quit yet.
Congratulations - stand steady and sturdy my friend. You don't need others around you to be stable - you can be the dominant point in your reality that ensures you are living exactly what you want! Again, congrats!!

Awesome Vanneuville, congratulations! Yes, it's hard when someone so close to us smokes but stay strong and diligent in your decision. You're stopping is a cool example for him that it's possible!
Hi ! I used to smoke for the simple pleasure of it. But in those rough periods, i indulged in smoking, and felt bad for it, just to return to "low smoking-5-6 cigs a day. And then, the cycle went on again and again, and i'm sick of it. I had to see that clear and 'cold' look in your eyes, and i know what is the right thing to do. Wish me luck.
I did 12 days i did not sleep i went crazy and abused everyone, had serious anxiety attacks it was insane and horirble. I just cant believe this is so hard.
It can be BUT, in time, it will and does get better. It's just a matter of getting on the other side of it. It's like the part of you that fears existing without the habit, and so it throws a tantrum.
@@KristinaSalas thanks for the reply. I started smoking at 26 I'm now 36 I smoked weed and then gave that up and was left with just tabacco. I feel trapped tbh it's horrible what I'm going through. I feel I need rehab for a month and to be locked into a room with no phone so I can't abuse anyone. It's like I was on herion or something. 👍
Yes - I had a similar experience. I couldn't believe how addicted I had become. Although it was so physically engrained, half the battle is the beliefs and your mindset around smoking and quitting. If you can get your mind right you can literally do anything!
Hardest part about quitting smoking is you have to realize there will be boring moment even as a sober individual, I’m trying to quit myself and that’s the hardest parts, the lack of sleep, appetite, the depression that comes with it, the social smoking, all of it.
Yes, relearning how to exist again without it, but still happy, joyful and full of inspiration. It's possible abd you are wildly capable. Good luck, my friend!
It is really a terrible and horrible addiction. I lost both my parents to nicotine addiction. Cigarettes of course. My mother got COPD from it and passed away in 2018. From years with breathing machine and various medications that ruined her golden years. My father was then diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2021, and passed in June this year. Both were chainsmokers from the 1960s period were smoking was considered prestige and social. Also that period where you could smoke in airplanes, restaurants, dentist offices etc. I will say this... In this day in age if you smoke or want to try smoking.. From all the information and evidence and history that is out there now... You really have yourself to blame if you get addicted to the drug nicotine. Needless to say Nicotine crippled my parents quality of life until it eventually killed them in a horrible way. But you can stop. Others have done it before. You can as well. Good luck 👍🏻
@@Frankely0314 yes we all have those moments that prove to challenge us the most. Gotta find ways to change the routine or rather realize its about learning to exist in those moments alone without needing to smoke. So be patient but diligent with your decision. In time, and after enough moments of changing who you are in those moment, the desire to smoke will become less and less.
I gave up cigarettes and took up vaping 4 days ago. I smoked for 20 years and I just couldn’t go cold turkey without landing myself in jail for murder. I’m still proud of my transition and will gradually taper the nicotine level over the new few months.
Awesome, Sarah! There is not right way to quit.. whatever works for you is the right way. Stick with it, you got it. The challenge will be well worth it in the end!
Hey Sarah, from my experience, vaping or smoking it’s the same trap ->nicotine. Cold turkey it’s the way. Try to read Allen Carr book, that book makes you look at smoking in different way.
I been smokin everyday its so hard not too so now i got too quit .... when i quit i usually start by cleaning my house up then working so much i dont have time to smoke but, thats my problem now im not currently working.... :/
Hello Kristina, thank you for sharing this, I stopped smoking like 4 days ago after 10 years of smoking cigarette and weed. what I feel now after four days is not worry or scary about break my decision and back to smoke no, I know I will not come back because I have very strong reasons to quit and I have a strong conviction in what I do but I missing it like crazy my question for you is when I will stop missing it, thinking of itI
Hi Haneen - I stopped missing it or thinking about it I think about 6 months after quit smoking. It started as me realizing I hadn't thought about it for a few days and soon it wasn't coming up in my mind at all and felt finally free. The first few days are very challenging so just be patient with yourself and know it may get more hard before it gets easier BUT it WILL get easier so just remember, "this too shall pass..." Good luck, I know you can do it!
@@KristinaSalas i can share the start of my journey, it began in spring! i got a bicycle to go out in the sunny weather and get my exersize going, i do remember that it was still quite cold out. i loved the sunshine ever so much. for every day that i went out on my bike, around the local path, to the lake, further each time. i always had the choice to smoke, it was availible for me when i got home. however i chose not to smoke, because i was too much in love with bike riding, my will power overcame my mind. i noticed that for every day that went on, i was more fit and able to go further. on days that i did not ride my bike, it was easier to exersize at home. last year in summer was the first time in 8 years that i had been a smoke free surfer. when i was 12 i surfed a shortboard, even in the coldest times of winter. i started to smoke when i was 14, up until i was 19. being smoke free for a year has been amazing! not for money, but for two other reasons 1. freedom of my mind, smoking is usually compulsary when being an addict. having the freedom of choice and not letting the mind rule over descisions 2. physical health, i will be more grateful in the long run. i am already grateful i can breath easy, surfing is a good example because breathing is essential. no more tight chest while riding waves!!! peace in
Congratulations, I gave up smoking for nearly 4 years, unfortunately I’ve relapsed, and to be honest, I don’t really know why I did. And now I’m back to square one. I know this.. I did it before… I WILL quit again.
Yes - you got this. It's been over 4 or 5 years for me now lol I don't know how long, and it still comes up sometimes as a question - do I want to smoke? And even if I entertain the idea, ultimately I know I let it go once and for all and even one hit of a smoke, I know what it tastes like that the road it will lead to. Been there, done that. I'm on to bigger and better things :)
Day 50 clean of smoking, vapes, cigars. I can’t believe how dumb I was for so long! Started at 19 now I’m 25 and I can tell smoking affected my mental health. Scared to take new opportunities and smoking just made it all worse.
Way to go Shreyas - those first few days and weeks are so crucial so way to be there for yourself and give yourself the opportunity to be a non-smoker! Welcome to the team :)
5 days in and I'm completely miserable. Normally the first cigarette of the day kick starts me into a full day of hard graft but without the ciggie I can't get anything done.
Give it time... it does get easier. Just keep going, don't smoke and before you know it you will have transformed yourself and your life and your future self will thank you!
I made the decision to stop smoking tonight I’m already crying at the thought of not having one tomorrow. Are the withdrawals as bad as people say ? The sweating and clammy hands .. mood sings 😬 any tips
Congratulations, Allie! The withdrawals can be bad but they may not be too.. it's so individual to you. Just know it will not be easy but it will be worth it.
Watching this now and I quit smoking cigarettes 8 days ago ! Soooo god damn hard I’m 28 in November I have been smoking since I was 12 😳 my heart was having trouble mixture of low and high blood pressure and Vaso vagal (random fainting) and had to kick them ! I am on the nicorette patches and spray and I feel like I’m still going to give in BUT I don’t and I won’t ! Even if I am after piling on pounds 🤣🙈
Hi Karman - yes, I am working on a video about this and will have it out soon. In the meantime, I will say do whatever brings you the most joy, fun, and essentially, support. Often times doing something we don't normally do supports us in getting out of our "normal routine" which is where our habit of smoking exists. So expand and get creative - do something that is fun and you may not normally allow yourself to do!
Quitting smoking, changed my life, too. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diet and exercise but I could not stop the weight from coming on. I went from a slim 135 to a massive big belly 275. That's right, I more than doubled my former body weight. My waist went from a 32 to a 50. I got kicked out of the navy for being obese and I list my military retirement benefits, even though everybody in there, wants you to quit smoking. I developed severe sleep apnea and became a borderline diabetic. I had to give up water skiing and riding my bike. Had I known I was going to get fat like this, you best believe, I would have never quit smoking. Biggest mistake I ever made. I'd rather get cancer anytime than have to be big and fat for the rest of my life
Very interesting and unique experience you have. Over 30k views and hundreds of comments and this is the first "negative" share. Why didn't you just start again if you thunk quitting cause so many issues? Also, what kind of water do you drink??
I quit smoking for 4 months i started experiencing side effects from day 3 i experienced muscle twitchings also so i started again but that twitching did went away its been 6 months since I started

This is my actual experience, it's not baseless talk.
They make it seem impossible, but that's really just nonsense.
By typing this, now i actually realize what they mean by "it's all in the mind" referring to "addiction".
It's nothing but a mind game with an economical foundation.
They get us to believe the nonsense as gullible youngsters, nonsense that we even regurgitate to eachother to keep the belief alive, it's a belief system.
Try it out yourselves. You'll see how simple it is to stop doing something, it's literally just as easy as doing nothing.
Thank you for sharing this! Im so happy and proud of you! I almost cried bc i felt you how it have to take "time" to be finally done with smoking habbit! Slaaay gurl, keep on going!!!!
Thank you, Sani! :)
So glad to hear you found this video supportive! Congrats on your quitting journey.. keep it up!

Yes - a thousand is never enough and 1 is 1 too many. Hard lesson learned but will help you in your quitting journey! Go Rip E!
I like your speech. You said exactly what I had experienced.

These all began when i didn't sleep early although i didn't sleep for 3 consecutive days last week and i was fine..but i don't know why exactly this happened 2 days ago Are those another nicotine receptors dying and will this also go away
I thought i got rid of all of the wihtdrawal symptoms 😕i think my brain didn't entirely adjust yet
I'm also very agitated and irritable for no reason..I wanna scream or beat someone for no reason 😑
Maybe this addiction is struggling and those nicotine receptors are in pain and want some nicotine 😂😂 Maybe i'm winning at last and i will be fine at the end of Third month

@@KristinaSalas thanks for the kind reply god bless you
It is really a terrible and horrible addiction.
Thanks for sharing a part of your story, Chopper.

@@Frankely0314 yes we all have those moments that prove to challenge us the most. Gotta find ways to change the routine or rather realize its about learning to exist in those moments alone without needing to smoke. So be patient but diligent with your decision.

Hello Kristina, thank you for sharing this, I stopped smoking like 4 days ago after 10 years of smoking cigarette and weed. what I feel now after four days is not worry or scary about break my decision and back to smoke no, I know I will not come back because I have very strong reasons to quit and I have a strong conviction in what I do but I missing it like crazy my question for you is when I will stop missing it, thinking of itI
or I will continue my life fighting to stay away from smoking , I could really live normally after quit like this non-smokers people I see.
also as a art and creative director I can't work or even imagine the work without my cigarette :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Hi Haneen - I stopped missing it or thinking about it I think about 6 months after quit smoking. It started as me realizing I hadn't thought about it for a few days and soon it wasn't coming up in my mind at all and felt finally free. The first few days are very challenging so just be patient with yourself and know it may get more hard before it gets easier BUT it WILL get easier so just remember, "this too shall pass..." im nearly at a year!! havent smoked since march 5th last year
That is so awesome, Kiwi! You and I have a close anniversay date - Mine is March 1. Will be 2 years! How's it going for you?
@@KristinaSalas i can share the start of my journey, it began in spring! i got a bicycle to go out in the sunny weather and get my exersize going, i do remember that it was still quite cold out. i loved the sunshine ever so much.
for every day that i went out on my bike, around the local path, to the lake, further each time. i always had the choice to smoke, it was availible for me when i got home. however i chose not to smoke, because i was too much in love with bike riding, my will power overcame my mind.
i noticed that for every day that went on, i was more fit and able to go further. on days that i did not ride my bike, it was easier to exersize at home.
last year in summer was the first time in 8 years that i had been a smoke free surfer.
when i was 12 i surfed a shortboard, even in the coldest times of winter. i started to smoke when i was 14, up until i was 19.
being smoke free for a year has been amazing! not for money, but for two other reasons
1. freedom of my mind,
smoking is usually compulsary when being an addict. having the freedom of choice and not letting the mind rule over descisions
2. physical health, i will be more grateful in the long run. i am already grateful i can breath easy, surfing is a good example because breathing is essential. no more tight chest while riding waves!!!
peace in

Yes - you got this. It's been over 4 or 5 years for me now lol I don't know how long, and it still comes up sometimes as a question - do I want to smoke? Soooo god damn hard I’m 28 in November I have been smoking since I was 12 😳 my heart was having trouble mixture of low and high blood pressure and Vaso vagal (random fainting) and had to kick them ! I am on the nicorette patches and spray and I feel like I’m still going to give in BUT I don’t and I won’t ! Even if I am after piling on pounds 🤣🙈
Did you feel like skin and hair quality improve after you quit smoking ?
Congrats !
I stop smoking aftwr watching people who lost their voice
whatever works for you!
Can you share some ideas for filling the time?
