This time we were photographed by Surugaya, an eel restaurant in Narita-san.
They use a brand of eel called Oigawa Kyosui Eel, which is very rare.
Since the eel is carefully grilled to order, many people made reservations at the store, went to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple to pray, and then had their eel.
It's so cool to eat eel after visiting Narita-san!
The eel was carefully grilled, then steamed, and then dipped in sauce to make it soft and melt-in-your-mouth.
    I'll be back...
    Surugaya

Can people be at least a little bit humane? I am not talking about being vegetarian as I am not, but ffs. You kill it in front of customers I am sure will know know that it was super fresh and the thing wont have to be in constant pain. This is just sadistic.

This looks absolutely delicious. I've never had this style of Japanese before (grilled over charcoal - their own form of BBQ). To all the people disliking this vid, most likely because of the eels being slaughtered.... get over yourselves. You do realize that any predator in the animal kingdom is going to feast on those eels if they can catch them, right? Also, eels are predatory too and feast on smaller critters. IT's all part of the cycle of life.
