      Hi Sarah. Ok is it a problem in both roof opening process and opening boot like normal to load stuff? Or just one of those? I know its not ideal but have a look at this video ruclips.net/video/CUk3RKVRfVU/видео.html its not mine but explains the whole process better than me. It could be a micro switch on the right hand side need attention or replacing . It might also be worth getting the fluid levels checked in the motor by a garage.

    • @CzechEngine
      @CzechEngine  Год назад +1

      Hi, I havent had any water leaks on mine. I know a few other owners and they havent either.I think the roof is generally well made. If you do have any leaks i would check the roof latches arent loose at the ront of the roof as these pull in the roof once closed. When the roof is up apart from the usual noise you get from any older frameless car it is totally fine. It is a small car but i will sit at 70 happily with no drama .You can adjust the door strikers to close the doors a little tighter if needed.But overall I dont have many complaints. You forget sometimes the roof comes off to be honest.

      Hi David, I think it is a button to turn off the Internal protection of the alarm leaving only external activated. If you had a pet or something in the car while you are away maybe or leave the window down a little in the sun. But I think you have to press the button within 10 seconds after turning ignition on. • @CzechEngine

      I found in most cases the hydraulic pump and the fluid levels manage how fast the roof operates. It could be the pump is worn, maybe check levels of fluid in pump also and for any leaks. I also notice a small increae in speed with engine running over just having ignition switched to circuit .

      Hi Mark, that does sound like the curcuit isnt complete so potentially a contact issue.Mine does odd beeps if i hit a larger pothole where they seperate for a moment.It is a complex roof and is getting old now. Does the roof open and close as normal but you get the annoying bing? or is it nothing at all just binging? The fact you get no noise when releasing the latches makes me think the car thinks they are already unlatched.

    • @CzechEngine
      @CzechEngine  Год назад

      Hi Stacey. Ok it is tough to advise without seeing it.But that sounds like the circuit is not opening and closing correctly when the boot is closed. This could be a microsowitch causing the incomplete circuit. I would first check the microswitch on the blind in the boot is clean and not corroded/damaged in any way. Check the boot is actually closing fully with no messages on dash stating door open. In the boot i think it has one sensor on the boot latch which sends a signal to the roof ecu (this could be the problem one) or 2 more sensors /switches where the roof contacts the boot once closed.check then appear clean and not damaged/missing. Clean all connections with compressed air if possible. If it still occurs you may need to get it plugged in to check and isolate which sensor is causing the issue. Good Luck

    The motor don't run

    • @CzechEngine
      @CzechEngine  9 месяцев назад

      Hi, it could be that you have a faulty or blown relay. It is unusual for the motor itself to fail. You could disconnect the car battery and re connect it and retry. But make sure you have any radio codes etc you may need after. Do you still have everything else working? If that fails it may need to be plugged in and see if the roof ecu has any error codes.

    • @CzechEngine
      @CzechEngine  Год назад

      Hi, ok so to start the system should have sensors around it all that avoid and metal to metal contact, If you get a banging noise that makes me think maybe one has failed or is misalligned possibly. The roof moves based on the pressure of the hydraulics oil pump and the motors, If the motor is worn or is failing this might mean that it isnt building up enough pressure or if the oil pressure is too low on the pump. Have a look at this video I found, it is very helpful in explaining what each part does. It may help pinpoint what part is failing . ruclips.net/video/CUk3RKVRfVU/видео.html
      Good luck and hope you get it sorted, if this doesnt help you may need to plug it into some diagnostics.

      @CzechEngine  Год назад

      Ok if it goes when you brake then do a few basic checks first. Check the brake fluid level is ok. If that drops too low you get the alarm noises and sometimes STOP flashes up and goes away intermittently . I have seen these very low on some cars so top up .Look at the brake pads to see they all have enough material in them as they could also be low and need replacing . Also look at the discs to make sure they aren’t to bad condition or have a huge lip on outer edge. If this all looks ok it could be brake pedal sensor. If not obviously these you may need to be it in to be checked.
