My Dad passed and one of the goofiest memories I've had with him was cracking up laughing at Half shaved Tandy and singing Falling Slowly in sync with Will and Jason. Last Man on Earth is so underrated and I'll always appreciate that show as long as I live. God Bless.
The show was terribly stupid,obviously because it was supposed to be, but it also had enough charm to keep you invested in the characters. I caught myself numerous times with tears in my eyes because of how well the characters were written. Very underrated show.

I just finished watching the show. I saw part of an episode about a month ago, and asked my sister about it. She told me its great but prepare to be disappointed- but I went in prepared and enjoyed the ride. Almost stopped during the first season, because it gave me the ick- but i realized it was probably for the purpose of a character arch, so I kept watching. was not disappointed. Also, watched the interview afterwards with the ideas of how it would end- and I love the pitch, and the cat ideas- it wouldnt have surprised me one bit lol Hope you guys get the chance to wrap it up one day

You know, if they did one more season, they definitely should have had Tandy and Mike sing this song one last time. But it has to be in a special scene that would bring us tears. More emotional than when that sing it together when the two reunited in season 4. Here's what I think could've happened... Even though the group is supposed to be immune, Tandy somehow manages to become infected by the virus. The group manages to find some surviving scientists and they think they managed to create a cure, but they haven't been able to test it yet. With Tandy having it, they figure it's the only way to find out. They go ahead and do so. While Tandy is lying in bed, looking like he's going to die, Mike begins singing this song to him. With what strength Tandy has, he joins in on the song. The group watches as this happens, making them all smile and bringing them to tears. Tandy then passes out, looking like that he died. But after a little bit, Tandy gets his strength back. The cure worked. Thus, they have a way to give vaccines to everyone else. Then we cut to years later when the kids: Jasper, Dawn, Bezequil, Mike, and Erica and Carol's babies they would have in season 5, are all grown up playing. We even see the group sitting around a campfire like in season 1 and even when they had a fireplace going in season 2. With this, Tandy brings out his old guitar and actually plays it instead of hitting the side of it like how he normally would with singing his "Closure" song. Just like when he actually played a real song for Gail and Erica's wedding. But after playing a few notes, Tandy changes his mind and begins hitting the side of it and begins singing "Closure" one last time. But this time, the whole decides to join in, thus ending the series.
Honestly Tandy dying peacefully surrounded by loved ones after everything he went through completely alone and learning to become a good person is a good enough ending for me. It might sound cheap but I think the shows earned a finale like that Tandys earned his rest
@@salagayikes4016 Another thing that would happen is that when the group is all staring at Tandy, we would have a short memory montage in which the group thinks about all the good times/important moments they had with him. - For Mike, he would think about all the times they sang “Falling Slowly”, when he shaved Tandy’s head, them singing Beach Boys, playing that sport thing outside in that giant ball, Mike tugging on Tandy’s rat tail taped to the back of his neck, when the two hugged on the beach now they were reunited after years of being apart because of Mike being in space, them going through all their stuff in the attic like the fart jar, enjoying what’s left of the bacon. - For Todd, he’ll remember Tandy saying he was sorry for leaving him in the desert, them enjoying bacon, them both punished together for it and Todd thanking Tandy for trying to take the blame, Todd telling Tandy that how he tried to make him think he didn’t kill Pat so he didn’t have to live with it was the nicest thing anyone ever did for him, Todd showing off his breakdancing for the first time. - For Melissa, she’ll remember how she was glad that Tandy opened up to her how he talks to sports balls and that she was introduced to them, them talking about how his favorite movie being “The Godfather”, her laughing with the others when he revealed himself camouflaged with the Christmas tree. - For Gail, she’ll remember how she was sorry for not believing in Tandy about Karl, him making her laugh in that episode with better jokes than his “boom” ones, them goofing off with helium, him loving how she said she’s glad to have him as her son in law, Tandy saving Gail from the elevator and hug about it. - For Erica, she’ll remember when they were having fun with giving him tequila shots in the episode they met him, them singing about frozen pizza, Tandy having rebuilt the crib Phil made for Dawn, the two giving Phil a proper burial, Tandy apologizing for being a sore loser because of Jasper picking Erica over Tandy and her allowing him to go tell Jasper goodnight. - For Jasper (who I feel should return in the end), when they were celebrating all the holidays he’s missed, he and Tandy going down the water slide in sleeping bags which was the one time Jasper really had fun with Tandy, Tandy teaching Jasper how to properly play with a piñata. - For Carol, when they first met, them getting married, having sex, playing tennis indoors, Tandy helping with her garden, Tandy apologizing for all the times he’s lied, Tandy singing his “Screw the Moon” song he wrote for her, the two finding out she’s pregnant, them holding the twins for the first time, Tandy presenting Carol’s dream house in season 3, them being aroused by one another which leads to them conceiving their third kid. I also feel that we could have Glen and Pamela come back revealed they did indeed find Glen’s kids. With them being there with the rest of the group during this memory montage, Pamela would think about the time she and Tandy were singing in the yacht and for Glen, well it would only be the time when the two first met in which Glen told Tandy he’s heard nothing but nice things about him. I just feel that this memory montage should’ve happen. Before it does, along with receiving the cure, we would need a specific way to set this all up perfectly. In an episode just before this, Tandy would get into an argument with everyone in saying how they all think he’s still a tool. Eventually, Tandy would tell everyone to even stop calling him by his middle name in which he wants to be called “Phil” again. Everyone says they can’t so they don’t get mixed up with the other Phil. Tandy then reveals that he found out Phil did have a middle name in his driver’s license which was Stacy. Everyone then reveals that Phil secretly revealed it to them all, even Carol. They just went along with because they didn’t want to call him Stacy and thought it was funny to call Tandy by his middle name and since they thought of him as a tool. But Carol just went along with it just so they wouldn’t get confused on which Phil they were talking about. Anyway, when Tandy has the virus and Carol and Mike say they have to do something, the group does think they should save him after their argument. Carol and Mike then says he’s done so much for the group. Gail or Melissa would say “Oh yeah? Like what?” Carol would then bring up how if it weren’t for Tandy’s ALIVE IN TUSCON signs, none of them would’ve met. Therefore Todd would’ve never married Melissa, Erica would’ve never became a mother to Phil and Todd’s children, she and Gail wouldn’t have gotten married, they wouldn’t have found out about the nuclear meltdowns since Tandy saw it in which led to leaving the country to safety, and then they wouldn’t have rescued Glen off the island, and Carol wouldn’t have had her children either. Carol can even bring up how Tandy saved Gail from the elevator and willing to take the fall for Todd’s bacon. This will make the group realize they never really appreciated Tandy as much and now agree to save him. After thinking that Tandy is dead, Carol would then kiss him and say “Goodbye, Phil”. I feel that Tandy should earn being called by his first name in the end that way we have that full circle feeling since that’s the name we knew him by in the beginning of the series. But other than that finale, these are other stuff I would’ve liked in this season… Mike meeting his love interest in which they would have kids eventually, celebrating the kids’ first birthdays, Erica and Carols new births, and with that, it gives me an idea for Melissa. While during those births are happening, Melissa could be put in charge of watching the other babies. Either that or she’s playing with Todd and Erica’s baby in general. Either way, while playing with the babies, and hanging out Jasper again, Melissa starts to feel a new form of happiness she didn’t know she wanted. She then tells Todd she thinks she’s finally ready to become a mother and with that, by the end of the serious, she’ll reveal she’s pregnant.
