Ted Lasso is that one show you didn't know what you were missing until you started watching it and then kick yourself for not starting it sooner. It is soooo freaking good.
amen brother
Yes it is!
But at the same time feel so so sad when it ends
A-f*cking-men bradar
Aye to be honest I found it like 2 weeks before season 3 came out and tbh, getting to binge 3-6 episodes in a sitting, it’s so much better than having to wait for the Apple notification on Friday mornings!
Watching Ted Lasso feels like getting a warm hug. No other words to describe it
Yes. This!
Chicken soup for the soul!
With a lot of swearing that’s therapeutic!
Getting a nice warm hug, while the hugger is swearing and talking about sex in your ear is more like it. What a good show
That’s so true
Every time Jason Sudekis is congratulated for award nominations he IMMEDIATELY congratulates everyone who works on the show. That is pure Lasso.
That is pure Jason ❤❤❤🌞
He's Such a Great Model for the new, non-toxic, masculinity!
Just like Ellen, oh no
@@mariekastler5391 If Britney Spears taught me anything, it's that there's always a little space for Toxic.
@@christopherh4653 Really!!?! Nothing about her Dad taking over her life and spending $2million of HER $$$ keeping her from exercising HER wishes makes you want to reexamine your witticism for unintended irony...?...!
The scene in the pub with Rupert and Ted throwing darts….I tell everyone that’ll listen about this show. It’s absolutely fantastic.
“ Rupa Dupes”. Lol.
@@terrygracy8345 it’s a play on the term Rope-a-dope. A boxing strategy Muhammad Ali used to use. He would lean back on the ropes faking being tired. The ropes acted as shock absorbers as the opponent pummeled him, giving the other guy a false sense of security. Then Ali would come up off the ropes when the other guy was tired and beat the snot out of him. Barbecue sauce!
@@Dogmom0903 I know the referee. Loved it
@@Dogmom0903
Wow I didn’t know this but that’s a really cool little bit of trivia and makes SO much sense given the scene. Love that
YES. My favorite scene from the entire show. It gives you so many emotions at once but that feeling of pure satisfaction is just *chefs kiss*
For me the one of the best scenes was when Roy hugged tart after he punched his dad 🥲 show is absolutely amazing
That scene was justtttttt….I have no words. So heartbreaking, so beautiful!
That scene made my eye balls sweat for some reason.
THIS.
He winces just before Roy hugs him, male affection is something he’s never known. You could see his wonder at Sams relationship with his father.
I agree. The way they show you the why behind why people are who they are completely makes you root for the “villains” of the show. So well done.
Oh Ted Lasso is one of, if not the, best thing streaming right now. And don't get me started on the eye sweats. One scene in particular killed me; the panic attack scene. Man o man. Lots of onions was cut.
The "hit-piece" got me. Bad.
@a p just a remarkable show. A diamond in the rough.
So, it’s worth checking out? What subscription platform is it playing in currently? Thanks
Tv right now is golden man. Loki ted lasso snowfall mandalorian falcon winter boy ozark
Honestly for me it was the FaceTime divorce for me, I was already balling when Ted said “it’s okay, I’ll be okay”... and then when he sat down on the bench and beard was already there for him with a beer... I was done
Ted Lasso makes me proud to be a human. He is what we all should strive to be.
I watched episode 1 of season 2 last night and i remember thinking, Ted Lasso is kind of a caricature of an american yet in reality he is what americans should actually be like. His love and kindness and openness and non judgmental nature are tragically lacking in most americans these days. Not to mention his humility
@@corvus2512 not just Americans, everyone in the world could do with being more like Ted lasso
@@Alex-tn3tq Yeah i mean those are human qualities everyone should have, but i think particularly we as a country are seriously lacking those traits more so than others. Societal wars, divisive people, misinformation, anti science and violent rhetoric are present in most western nations but its raging unchecked here.

Ted Lasso is so good. Funny, but not cringy. Heart felt, but also R rated. God damn. Happy for JS.
@Master Yoda and Ashoka no it’s a tv show lol
As a Brit, American excitable positivity usually makes us want to punch a f**king wall lol but it doesn’t with this, I don’t know how they’ve done it! Impressive! 👍
@@RedDevil_Joe As a Brazilian, American excitable positivity and fast talk of Sudeikis could make me punch a porra da parede but it doesn't cos I put it on personal speed of 0.85 and turns it more intelligible for me. But - hail there - don't put on 0.75, sounds like they had a big blunt of hash together b4 the interview lol
@@RedDevil_Joe plus how wanker becomes a term of endearment.
@@michaelfarrow5817 well yeah although we don’t use it nearly as much as the show suggests, cause I think even Jason said they couldn’t use c**t like we do lol which can also be a term of endearment
Jason Sudekis and his co-writers prove beyond a doubt that programming does not need to be shocking, scandalous or violent. Heart-warming comedy that celebrates comradery, kindness, growth and love appeals to everyone.
If we were 10% Ted Lasso, the world would be a better place ❤️
Jason is such a legend that Chris Rock opened for him.
Most underrated comment I’ve ever seen on youtube.
Well. Played.
Now that was witty!!! 🤣🤣
This comment is brilliant, mate! OI! xoxo P
I started to watch Ted Lasso in May 2024 and I can’t stop. Will start season 3 now. How I missed it.
I put off Ted lasso for so long because I didn’t want Apple TV , got a free trial thinking it might take the whole month to watch 3 series… it took 4 days I was hooked. As an autistic guy who struggles expressing emotions I cried, and I cried it was an emotionally liberating series and I am so thankful to everyone who made that show to let me feel that way.
Saw all the accolades Ted Lasso was getting and everyone saying how good it was forever. I finally got around to watching it and once I started, I couldn't stop. I got through all 22 episodes in 2 days. It is one of the most thoughtful, wholesome, comedy, drama shows that had emotional elements that I have ever seen. I get it now .... Now I am one of those people trying to get others to watch the show. I'm a 35 year old male and I teared up MANY times ... It's SO WHOLESOME while tackling some deeper subject matter as well. Can't wait for season 3!
I am 55 and I was also late to the show. It is in my top 3 shows I have ever seen and I watched A LOT of TV. The depth, the love, the charm, the heart, and the humour is simply amazing. So many scenes have made me cry. I feel good and positive about life watching this show.
it gets better after you watch 2 or 3 times, I did, and got to see things that I missed in the first and second watch !!!
Same thing ! It’s wonderful
I love you. 🥰
He was a storm trooper in The Mandalorian for those who missed that reference of him and baby Yoda having a history. 😂
I've noticed with some recent episodes that Jimmy is actually improving his listening skills. I mean good for him!
He still sucks… Only here for Jason Sudeikis lol
He still kisses guests ass WAY TOO HARD though, like sometimes it’s so overboard it’s embarrassing
Only took him 7 years
If this show doesn’t move you, we can’t be friends.
good line to draw.
...and they can't be human.
I like Ted Lasso so much. A really fun yet warm show not only about sports, but about human relationships and the bonds people create.
My husband is not keen to watch because he thinks it’s a show about football. Foolish because I bloody love it.
He’s so naturally funny. And he seems super genuine. Love this dude
I'm 68, embittered, injured, one of the walking wounded, cynical . . . and then I watched Ted Lasso . . . and suddenly my eyes started sweating.
Ted lasso is absolutely brilliant with amazing actors
Such an amazing show!
How can you not love this man?? What an absolute gem of a human.
"All people are different people" - Ted Lasso
💙
I finished my first watch through of Ted Lasso yesterday.
It’s very human, heartwarming and sad all at once. The characters are amazing, and I’m now in denial that there will never be any more. 10/10
I didn’t really care about seeing it, started watching last night and I love this show so hard, I love every character. Excellent job lasso crew, please make his biscuits a real thing served in a pink box called Lassos.
I love Jason Sudeikis. Ted Lasso and the film Kodachrome made me realize how truly talented he is. He isn’t just a comedian who used to be on SNL. He is an amazing actor with true emotional presence and weight to his performances. Love him
Bingo
As a Brit, American excitable positivity usually makes us want to punch a f**king wall lol but it doesn’t with this, I don’t know how they’ve done it! Impressive! 👍
It’s a clever trick they’ve pulled off mixing American excitable positivity (which, as you say, makes you want to saw your own leg off usually) with British defeatism and negativity and yet everyone comes out smelling of roses. It’s compulsive viewing.
Ted Lasso has made me smile, more than anything I’ve ever watched on television. Absolutely wonderful show, and not afraid to deal with deep issues. I want to be Ted Lasso’s friend ❤️
Don’t we all, don’t we all. I hear you. Ted Lasso fan club right here.
We all need a Ted Lasso in our life
For anybody who hasn't watched this show.........Please give it a shot, it's incredibly special.
This is the first interview I’ve seen where jimmy let the guest talk. It was so refreshing.
please continue the Lasso story.
we need more of that in our world these days
Ted Lasso is one of the best shows ever! All it's Emmy nominations are very well deserved.
There has never been a show more meaningful to me than Ted Lasso. Cathartic
I just finished the series. I cried a lot. Ted Lasso is such an important show to watch. It's themes of vulnerability and fixing ourselves and that we are not blame for the parents and who are is so important. Rare gem of a show amongst and the "gritty" sjpws and fake irony.
have seen all three seasons and this is the best show of all time
Jason’s ted is so affirmable that he’s like that teddy bear you want by your bed all the time. A true motivator!
This guy is Legend in We’re Millers 😂
One of my favorite movies 🤣🤣
I love that movie
Every episode I always cry. I mean there's always a scene that's gonna make you put out tears of joy.
I just adore Ted Lasso show. I wasn’t interested in watching when it came out didn’t seem like my type of show but I gave it a chance a few months ago and binged watched both seasons and fell in love with all the characters
Good to see a show these days that actually celebrates masculinity - good, responsible, sensitive masculinity - rather than just showing the 'toxic' variety
Yeah
Really, Ted Lasso is everything. Will take to the grave the number of times I've watched season 1.
With you on that! :-D
Fr!!!!!! Like 4 times already soooo good
I actually can't believe how good this show is, the best show I've come across in a long, long time
Paul Rudd and Jason Sudeikis had the same teacher in high school? I definitely went to the wrong high school. LOL
Yeah, Overland Park is a suburb in Johnson county on the Kansas side and it’s gorgeous. We live there and it’s beautiful suburbs with excellent school districts.
Jason is such a lovely man. Hollywood is so blessed to have such a genuine person in movies and TV.
The latest episodes - centered on fathers - aired around the anniversary of my dad's death, which happened 2 years ago. I've never seen a show mirror what I was feeling at a precise time so well in my life. Lots of crying and rememberance involved.
It also covered those who have fathers, but fathers are bullies. Occurs a lot lot more than you think
Been thinking the last couple days on if there was ever a tv show that’s moved me, or has made me feel the emotions that Ted Lasso has.. And I can’t think of a single one. This show will take you for a ride that you don’t ever want to get off. To people involved in making this show, thank you.. thank you so much for a show that’s touched my heart
Hey oh!! Kansas City Folks! From someone who lives in Shawnee, I appreciate this man and Paul Rudd. Gives me hope! 🤣
Kansas City!!
If America is known for any two men and only those two men, I’d be okay with them being Jason Sudeikis and Paul Rudd.
Watching from KC North!
Rob Riggle and David Dastmalchian both graduated from Shawnee Mission South.
We live in leawood. So happy he mentioned overland pk twice. Johnson county is beautiful suburbia fo sho. when people visit us from ny, they are so surprised how fabulous it is. They r very impressed.
Jason Sudeikis skit on SNL "whats up with that" where he dances around in the Adidas track suit tells me all I need to know. He is a funny man down to his core. Still makes me laugh, and he is actually pretty good dancer-you know considering.
His age? Hairstyle? What are you implying?
@@Soonerfrk11 what I am saying is he ain't Vanilla Ice, and nobody respects that guy. Mr. Reynolds, great comedy tests the bounds of our worst selves while still making everyone laugh. %@(# man, I love Burt Reynolds-never be another. Dom was a riot too.
Only real football fans realize how Jason uses football terms now and he be low key about it. Crazy how Ted lasso started as a commercial for the premier league lol
You can still find them online. They are great
Football is life!!!!
I’m one of the latecomers to Ted Lasso. Man, better late than never. What a great show! What I think it shows is that we all have this “face” we show to the world but behind the scenes we all deal with different things and we need to remember that.
"Me and Baby Yoda have a history." Such a good line that slipped in under the radar!
the real sleeper line was the one about Paul Rudd
It's because he played one of the stormtroopers and was the one who punched baby yoda.
Ted Lasso is so amazing he makes being good look cool
I love Ted Lasso so much!! I cry on every single episode, in the BEST way.
Thanks for your unending love and support you have been showing me. You've been the inspiration behind my commendable roles. I'm forever grateful. How long have you been my fan?
Jason Sudeikis is such a good dude, Ted Lasso Rules, and I want that damn shirt he's wearing.
Ted Lasso my all time favorite comedy show! Such great writing - little treasures snuck in everywhere - and the acting etc. also great. Sad it will not go on forever! Jason Sudeikis earned every accolade.
Ted Lasso, I think the fourth episode of the first season, made me laugh and cry. The weirdest thing, watching the two ladies laughing and drinking together after the gala just made me cry.
When ted had the panick attack and rebecca helped him cool down
Jason is such a great actor and humble man. I love him!
He is so handsome though.
Jason Sudeikis!!! Not only a great actor but a stand up, humble, down-to-earth guy!
Ted Lasso is a feel good show like Schitt’s Creek. Just imperfect people who try, at least, to treat each other with respect. It’s sad how much these shows stand out in a world where, if you’re respectful, you’re seen as weak.
It is an untapped market
So true.
I absolutely agree with this sentiment
Far superior to the creek in mho
So THAT'S why I love Ted Lasso so much - filling the Schitt's Creek hole. It is just as heartwarming as SC and also has a lot of character development like SC.
Ted Lasso is a great show as a UK football or soccer fan I absolutely enjoy it. Not only is it funny. But it’s very emotional and heartfelt.
His comedy teacher was Ms Shipley and then there's a Ms Shipley in Ted Lasso! (His upstairs neighbor we haven't met yet)
Maybe he named her after her!
Oh thank god. I was worried it was a Harold Shipman joke.
Absolutely love Ted Lasso! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just binged both seasons because I needed to see it again. This show is incredible! Admittedly, I got weepy at many scenes, but the one that got me almost sobbing was the one where Jaimie slugs his father and Roy comes running up to him and hugs him. When Jaimie lost it, so did I. That had to be one of the most beautiful, wordless moments in TV. Now, I'm hoping Nate suffers, but given Ted Lasso, we know he won't.
Yes you predicted correctly about Nate ……. Loved that Ted always forgave him right from the start ❤
I agree! I ugly cried so much with that scene 😭
Ted Lasso has to be one of the best Steaming Series I've seen in a long time. I can't wait to see season 2.
As a therapist I see loneliness growing even for those with families and friends everywhere. People are starving for a community and to belong. People are often dealt with and not truly seen. This show was the antidote for that. We all saw what is most important to us and it’s each other.
Damn I really did cried like 3 times watching the second season. Truly a masterpiece
Ted Lasso had become our favorite show and honestly it became our favorite almost immediately! The cast is superb and I am so vested in all of them. The script is top notch and I feel every emotion with each of the characters! Of course Ted Lasso, himself, has a way of pulling at all of your heart strings! Thank you Jason Sudekis, which this is his best acting so far, for bringing Ted Lasso into our lives
It was so sweet of Matt Damon to give him a shout out
"me and baby yoda have history" yeah context Jason played a stormtrooper in The Mandalorian who bonked baby yoda
Uhh, define "bonked," please? 8-/
@@rrrusty49 hit him
and then forgot he'd done that so when the episode aired many months later people were jokingly coming at him and he didnt know why lol
@@Henry-pl9ep good cos I don’t think a stormtrooper shagging a little baby alien would make it onto Disney plus lol
The Christmas Episode had me in tears , absolutely brilliant series 👏🏻
That episode was and is amazing.
When Rebecca reluctantly admits she’s going to Elton Johns house for Christmas and Ted exclaims “ Well hold me closer tiny dancer, prancer and vixen !! “ I laughed for half an hour.
I love when him and Paul Rudd talk about KC, especially OP. I have a ton of pride for my hometown so it makes me so stinkin happy that they both have a bunch of pride for it too
What a lovable guy. Ted Lasso is an absolute masterpiece.
Love this guy, and Lasso became a top 10 show for us. His TACOOO TOWWN scream at the end of that sketch kills me every time!
Ted Lasso is the kinda show that you didnt think could exist in this kinda world, and didnt youd enjoy so much...
Wow, 20 Emmy nominations! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Need to add "Ted Lasso" to my watch list!
He's funny! Great seeing Jason "Suda-kiss" on here! 🙌🏼😆🙌🏼
You have to watch it. It really is one of the best shows of all time.
"Me and Baby Yoda have a history." For those who don't know, Jason was the Scout Trooper who punches Grogu in the Mandalorian lol
😂🤣😆
Jason Sudekis deserves every award he’s nominated for, just for the performance he gave.
Can’t look at him without the mustache 😂 suits him well ❤
Best show in years !!!!! hope it goes on for a couple more seasons.
finised watching season 2 and I just love Ted Lasso and the lessons it gives you without it being cliche or cheesy. I'm so glad I decided to start watching it
Well, my love affair with Bill Hader is on the back burner. I am completely in love with Jason Sudeikes. Ted Lasso is the best television show since The Sopranos. I think it has surpassed Schitt's Creek. The week is so long waiting for the next episode. I laugh out loud and I weep. I'm already devastated that it will inevitably end.
My heart...
Nah... I am in love with both 😍😍😍😍

It’s pretty easy to be nice to people. And a better way to go through life. Great show!
I am always impressed by people that remember their high school teachers by name. I don’t remember one🙁.
"All people are different people" hit me hard in that episode. But we need the back story on The Fountainhead, sooner rather than later.
What’s the fountainhead in reference to?
@@misscrazytracy en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fountainhead
@@clarkm78 oh I’ve read the book but didn’t connect it to lasso.
Ted is such an amazing character and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that we've probably all known someone like him, someone positive who tries to make every person he encounters in life just that little bit better. I'm sure we all go away thinking 'wow that person is so together, they must be such a strong person' when the reality is they just might be hurting inside.
It also hit home for me as I (and I know I'm not alone here either) also suffer from panic attacks, it's incredibly scary as sometimes they happen for absolutely no reason, even on a hike on a beautiful day with gorgeous scenery in the middle of nowhere.
Ted's a great lesson in character study and even if they only do 3 seasons I sincerely hope they one day revisit the character in any scenario as you can pretty much put him anywhere
He's like a real life Ned Flanders minua the religion.
