My 80s song list in top 10 is van Halen jump livin on a prayer Bon jovi u2 without or without you every breath you take by the police another bite the dust by queen just beat it by Michael Jackson run to the hills by iron maiden tainted love by soft cell love will never tear us apart by joy division that’s my 10 song list in 80s Andy

A truly EPIC list of tunes. Well played Andy. Spoiler alert… 0:55 Don’t You Forget About Me 2:20 Dead or Alive 3:48 Everybody Wants to Rule the World 5:07 Take on Me 7:10 White Wedding 8:58 Down Under 10:05 Don’t You Want Me 11:15 Africa 12:39 Hungry Like The Wolf 13:55 Under Pressure
If all the great artists of the 80s went out on the road these days with an all acoustical set they would be a big hit. Imagine all the synth tunes of the past being remade with acoustic instruments!
A full deep dive on White Wedding would be awesome. Maybe a layered acoustic campfire starter and a double click for full electric. Great 80s collection!!
Andyyyyy! I've been browsing YT for years and your channel is the absolute best for finding new songs to play. Thank you so much!! Keep up the great work. One suggestion for an easy 80s acoustic song is Sweet Child Woaaahh oh oh OH Sweet Child of Mine?
Great list. I'm going to learn all of them. I'd add: Time after time by Cyndi Lauper Every rose has its thorn by Poisen Dont dream its over by Crowded house Melt with you by Modern English Will you do a 90's version? 90's is my favorite
Lots of content on the website/app but one problem I've found is that the full screen mode goes too big and doesnt show the whole of the screen. I was using chrome on an android tablet. I downloaded the app and it's the same. The links to watch on youtube work fine, so it's easy to watch full screen that way. It's also quite slow and unresponsive. Fix those small problems and you'll be on a winner. Cheers Andy. Keep the lessons flowing
Toto africa would be amazing, your style of video is so easy to follow. On a side note, I've had some of your t shirts for a while now, and the comfort and quality is excellent 👌
Thank you so much for this mate, I spent the last half hour and just about got down the Hungry Like The Wolf riff. Now I can play 2 popular riffs (this one and the Wish You Were Here riff by Pink Floyd).
Young at heart the Bluebells could be a good 80 acoustic tutorial. I’ve seen a lot of covers and only a few tutorials. It’s the rythym of it that gets me. I see a few on RUclips feels different each one.
Africa by who?😂 By tooootooooo 😆 Love the accent Love the video! Big thumbs up. Always come to your channel for inspiration as a beginner and boy have I found some. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!❤
Dude ! You're so fun to watch and I thought that you are talented. You can sing as well. You picked the songs that I really love as well...I'm now one of your subs here ! 😊😅
Hi Andy, I love all your videos they are awesome. Could I please request that you do a song lesson on Julian Lennon's song Too late for Goodbyes. I've searched you tube for a good guitar tutorial for the song & haven't found any. You do such an awesome job of creating really easy & assessable guitar lessons. If you get the chance it would be great if you could. Thank you so much. :) Alison
Better capo up homie. Wondering why you don'y use bronze strings or phosphor bronze ? ? These strings have your guitar sounding a little too tinny or shallow imho. That's just me though, of course. You play beautifully and I feel the strings you're using don't bring the true sond of your guitar "wood" out.

I have been in a rut with my guitar lately and not playing consistently. This is just the kick in the pants to inspire me. Thank you!
If all the great artists of the 80s went out on the road these days with an all acoustical set they would be a big hit. Imagine all the synth tunes of the past being remade with acoustic instruments!
Slave to love - Bryan Ferry
Everytime you go away - Paul Young
Two classics
A full deep dive on White Wedding would be awesome. Maybe a layered acoustic campfire starter and a double click for full electric. Great 80s collection!!
Omg Andy this will keep me immersed for a very long time. Many thanks. Do the same for the 70's please❤
We will - Putting the songlist together with my website members on Monday! 😀
Yes, a 70s one would be great. For that one, can you do Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton? One of my favourite 70s songs and Eric songs.
I'm a 70's fan! Especially the early '70's.
This will keep me tinkering away on the guitar for a long time. Thanks Andy.

I'd add:
Time after time by Cyndi Lauper
Every rose has its thorn by Poisen

Melt with you by Modern English
Will you do a 90's version? 90's is my favorite
Cracking list. Thanks Andy

Great selection Andy.
Love that blurred motion of your hand at 4:32! I've never seen that before in a guitar instruction video.
Andy, thank you for your expertise on various songs throughout years. I really like your playing and teaching!!!
Absolutely brilliant I'm going to get stuck in to all of these later today ❤ thanks for the upload
Great video. I loved all songs 🤩
Great collection! Thank you Andy. It's always a pleasure to watch and listen to you play. ❤🙏
The best duet of all time is either "Don Henley and Stevie Knicks Leather and Lace" or "Tom Petty and Stevie Knicks Stop Draggin My Heart Around."
Great música, Music is all, excelent video, God bless you.
Awesome man I'm going to teach my son with these songs 🙏👏
Toto africa would be amazing, your style of video is so easy to follow.

Great to read! I'm sure I can get Africa filmed soon 👌
@andycrowley that would be awesome !👌would you be able to do the chords for those with a bit more baritone voice ?
Andy Crowley , you rule the world ! Some terrific 80's tunes on display here. Tears for Fears being my favourite. Cheers 🍻 👏

🙌

So many great song ideas to pick from your video. Thanks Andy!
A-ha Hunting High And Low is the nicest A-ha song to play on the accoustic guitar imo , it's the chord progression I think 😮
Eres genial amigo, muchas gracias!
GNRs Patience is the best acoustic song of the 80s. Hands down.
Professional effort for us ….Thankyou
Thanks for this vid... as a beginner ,playing for 3 months now, these are songs/chords I allmost can handle..... except for the barcodes
Awesome! More please!
Grew up in the 80's, so all of them.
loads of fun . Great song selection. Cheers .
Love those 80's pop tunes. Brings me back to my childhood. 👍
That's great Andy, can you do more detailed version on intro of dead or alive please, regards Paul
Yes please do!
No worries 👌
Incredibly beautiful playing :)
Under Pressure - would love a full lesson on this. I think a good old Alison Moyet/Yazoo song or Erasure maybe???
Here's a complete Under Pressure tutorial ruclips.net/video/lFyjKNuuJtk/видео.html🤙
Hi, what strings and mic do use. Are you tuned down?. The sound comes across as trebly and when you hit hard the strings slap the fretboard. Cheers
That guitar sounds beautiful
Great video Andy on some great songs.
Please show us how to play "Suburbia" by the Pet Shop Boys as well...thanks! By the way love the 80´s music so much!
Correction: in Down Under, the verse has no D. It is Bm A Bm G A. Source: Colin Hay, youtube acoustic versions
Under pressure close to Air Supply All out of love.
All the songs are my favourite and you can definitetly add more and more 80's songs
Hazy shade of Winter by the Bangles would be a great addition to this list
I agree, in fact LOTS more songs for women would be good🎶🙏🌷
But that's actually a 60s song from Simon and Garfunkel!
@@ricomajestic you're right, but the Bangles re-imagined the main riff with distorted guitar that made it so different imo.
Love the Queen/Bowie riff
This makes Me Smile
Great list! I'd add "Only You" by Yazoo! 😊
The Breakfast Club is a great movie, I’ll have to learn “Don’t You Forget About Me” for sure!
Awesome, full tutorial here if you need it! ruclips.net/video/HbhYsHoJRFs/видео.html
80s rocked!
I saw that in the theater! 1986
As a 51yo member of GenX...Don't You Forget About Me is the song that represents our generation!! By far!!
Would love a tutorial for Under Pressure and/or White Wedding.
Great video 👍🏻❤️🙏🏻
Every breath you take
Hello Andy, how about Strangelove by Depeche Mode?

Hello sir can you tell me fingerstyle song cover channel monetize on RUclips or not

I had no idea that Rory Williams from Doctor Who was such a good musician :D
He actually is, e saw him live in the Ohklahoma musical in London, proving that in fact, we are not the same person 😄
@@andycrowley Apparently, I'm not the first to see the resemblance :D Cheers, mate, and good luck
You strings are 10 or 11?
Damn this is good
Any INXS songs coming up?
There wasn't, but there should be! Which should I do?

7:43 wait a minute! Was that him or a dub?
Is that the Faith Harvest moon?
Me too.
I won’t lie. I’m confused why an Em and E Major in the same song. Is it a key change? Same happens in House of the Rising Sun.
