I liked the video, I liked the music. My only advice would be that each weapon is shown for faaar to long. You could of easily got away with including mining lasers, mining laser r, salvaging lasers, etc in the same total time frame.
I thought the music was fantastic ! Perfect choice for a weapons overview, imo. I think some weapon types, like cannons or rockets, work better with independent targeting. However, because focus firing can become a problem with loads of pirates (or the AI), I try to avoid using to many turrets switched to IT.
I love how you do not care at all about the incoming torpedoes - the point defense guns never seem to be too effective do they? I've gotten to the point where I'd be better off taking the hits and using that slot for another real turret.
This wasn't a very good video to show case point defence weapons =) They are very good to have on your ship, if you are moving a lot your PD weapons won't be able to keep up so if you see incoming torpedoes just level out your ship so the PD can take out the torpedoes. If you didn't know you make sure you have point defence (PD) on option ''Defensive [Fighters, Torpedoes], that way they will only fire at fighters & torpedoes. So just in case you didn't know how see the below steps, Go into ship menu, select Ship. Assign a number to your weapon or weapons (to group them up) Group up your PD weapons, so if you have 4 PD on your ship assign a number example (number 2 for all 4 PD's) Exit back to / Resume game play. Hold Shift down and move your mouse over the weapon options at the bottom of the screen and assign Defensive [Fighters, Torpedoes]. I hope this helps, =)
@@gary0073 Oh, I know - it's just amusing because it mirrors my own experience with PDCs - I've got it set up properly, it just fails more often than not - even if I'm flying straight and steady. Not a huge concern because like you I'll just tank it.
I didn't even know till now i could fight them while standing still ...uhhmm ...i am always chasing them down till i terminate each one of them and then i return back and salvage ...of course sometimes i lose orientation and i cannot find wreckage's so i must move on ... my question is how do i do that ? i mean standing there and because my guns are always aiming where i look at ...Right ? so what do i need to do to activate this mode ?
there are specific turrets you can find that have a stat on them called "independent Targeting", basically this means you can switch it from 4 targeting modes. mouse, which is the standard for all guns, there is defense, so prioritizing torpedo's and fighters, there is selected target, kind of self explanatory, and then there is another setting called automatic. all of them except for mouse automatically fire at enemies near you. hope this helps you a bit!

Could've done without the music, lad
Agreed.
I agree too, however I like the song so
Great video, music is way too loud though

Yeah thanks, I will keep that in mind!!
Lightning turrets and seeking rocket launchers are a great combo.

@@HeadHunterSix lol
it's not like u can do a cobra maneuver in the game to dodge them anyway
Are the rail guns the purple looking laser beams? Can you change the disgusting color?
You can change the colour on all weapons when you build custom turrets. I should do a short video on how to build custom turrets.

REALLY could've done without the music.
Very unpleasant soundtrack.
Yeah np mate, one of my earlier videos. Try to do something different.
I'm disappointed you didn't show any of the PD weapons shooting down fighters or torpedoes.
Thank you for your feed back!!
@@gary0073 No problem. You should make an updated video sometime, and also show all the non-combat turrets as well.
@@SovereignVis Yeah I will and try to keep it a bit shorter
