For visa applications, they always require applicants to show confirmed hotel booking.
A hotel reservation proves that you have your accommodation arranged in the country you are planning to visit. It also proves that you are able to sustain yourself financially during your trip,
but do you really want to book a hotel and pay for it when there is no guarantee that your visa application will be approved? Probably not!
However, there is a way to provide the relevant documentation without paying for it! It’s called a dummy hotel booking or reservation.
How Do I Get A Hotel Booking Confirmation Letter For Visa Application?
There are different travel companies and hotel booking agencies which offer Hotel Booking Confirmations, but only a few of them offer cheap and genuine services. When choosing a serious hotel booking agency, you have less to worry about when making the reservation.
For example, if you have mentioned your trip will last for 10 days, you need to be able to show that your accommodation also matches the same number of days.
This can be done in 3 ways:
1. Provide an invitation letter from a friend or relative residing in the country you are visiting. (If you're not visiting any friends, partner or family and your applying for a TOURIST VISA then you will really need to show a confirmed hotel reservation under your name. )
2. Book a reservation with a hotel or hostel and use the confirmation letter as proof of accommodation (you can do this online at Booking.com or Agoda.com)
3. Get a dummy hotel reservation through a verified agent - this is advisable for those who do not have any valid credit or debit card (When booking with this agency there is a possibility for you to not make the reservation yourself and no demand to use your credit card. The hotel reservation package includes all the days of the trip anywhere in Europe, based on your travel route. Moreover, this online agency will support you with the necessary documentation templates that you need to use for the Schengen Visa Application.)
