One of the very important things that the Consul will look for in your visa application is your deep-rootedness in your country.
“Ties” or “Home ties” are the various aspects of your life that bind you to your home country. Strong ties vary from country to country, city to city, and person to person, but examples include:
What can you do to prove to the Consul that you will not work illegally in their country, violate their laws, and overstay your visa? That’s the situation that they’re trying to avoid that is why they're strict when it comes to strong ties.
- Job/Career
- Employment contract. - COE must include: employer's full name, complete address, telephone number with area code, details regarding the position, income, employment duration
- Current bank statement for the latest 6 months.
- Leave permission from the employer.
- Income Tax Return (ITR) form or Certificate of Income Tax deducted at the source of salary.
- Certificate of employment if you're working as a freelancer and You can submit online transactions using the freelancing websites together with your Paypal Transaction or Bank History with your employer/ clients.
- Business You Own
- *A copy of your business license (DTI)
- *Company bank statement for the latest 6 months.
- *Income Tax Return (ITR).
- *Barangay or Mayors' Business permit
- *BIR
- STUDENT
- Proof of enrollment.
- Approved letter of absence from your School or University or no objection letter
- Copy of current school ID
- TESDA enrolment certificate
Let's say you just graduate or someone having his review for the upcoming board exam, you can show your Diploma, some pictures from your graduation, or proof of enrollment with the reviewed school. Or if you already passed the exam and have your PRC ID or professional ID, you can use that.
- FAMILY TIES -Parents, Spouse & Kids
- Birth Certificates or Marriage Certificate issued by PSA
- If you have Senior Citizen parents that you're taking care of - show Senior Citizen ID and medical records
- Other Dependents - if you have family members that your supporting- Affidavits of support, Proof of relationship, and Photos
- Assets
- Deeds to Land, Properties/ land under your name
- Title to Cars, Motor or any Vehicles You Own
- Condo or apartment your own or rent
- Your home; mortgage or lease agreement
- Bank Accounts You can also submit Credit Card Statements but do this only when you have a good credit standing with your bank
I always suggest that you write a very detailed cover letter whenever you send your application,
It's also optional that you have these documents authenticated/apostilled by DFA. Having ANY of these documents will already remove any doubt about you overstaying/illegally working in their country. What more if you have most of it, right? That means higher chances of visa approval!

To add, incase applicable, you can also use a Certificate of Shareholdings if you bought stocks from a company. As well as VUL, Memorial Plans and Life Insurances for Investments.

Thanks for the information in this super nice video dear.. Please what's the difference between proof of chance and ties to your country. Because to my knowledge i think proof of funds means you can be able to foot your bills whiles there and ties to your country means something you have that guarantees you will come back. But in videos you will see people saying ties to your country can be a significant amount of money in your bank account so I get confuse if that is for ties then what's for proof of funds. Hi maam. I'm planning to apply for a tourist visa to Germany. My wife is a permanent resident in Germany already. Wala pang lupa in my name. Yung sasakyan lang naka pangalan sakin pero naka loan pa yun, more than half is paid naman, pwede na ba yun as proof of rootedness? I have senior parents ages 73 and 76 with medical conditions and I am living with them. I am also a freelancer for several years earning less than 20k a month, so no ITR. It seems that they are so strict that you can show them a bank account full of millions of PHP and they'll still deny you! Insane!
Hi Ms.Joy gusto ko sana itanong paano ko kaya pedeng gamitin as strong ties yung bahay na binabayaran ko sa pag ibig pero under kasi sya sa pangalan ng sister ko since sa pag ibig nya ung housing loan. Pero ako yung nagbabayad kasi sakin talaga un ginamit ko lang yung pag ibig ng sister ko para sa housing loan.

you can only travel with your spouse without visa here in schengen since you have resident card already there... but if you want to traval alone, you will need to apply for a visa... If you want to make sure, you can call the embassy to prevent problem

if you dont have work, and you want to apply soon for a visa, you need to make sure you have a good strong ties, para hindi ka pag isipan ng embassy na mag stay sa europe at mag work... now, if you dont have both.. mahihirapan ka... kaya better na, mag work ka nalang muna...

What if I can't provide a leave of absence? Ayaw kasi mag provide ng company kc 90 days aq wala so what I do is I filed for no work no pay but unfortunately they cannot provide a certification for no work no pay.Possible ba denied na yung visa ko?
yes possible... kasi without the approve leave of absence iisipin ng embassy na hindi ka pinapayagan ng company mag bakasyon.. so why do you think they can approve you if mismong work mo ayaw ka paalisin... better to talk with your boss for other work around... i know mahirap talaga mag request ng mahabang bakasyon... maybe its best na wag mo sagarin ang 90 days and ask your employer how many days ang willing nila i approve na bakasyon sayo instead...

make sure you register your online business for DTI and get barangay permit... for bank statement, you can use your personal bank statement if you have or screenshoot ng mga payment transcation mo sa business if hindi diretso sa bank ang income mo
