Thank you so much. I am booking a hotel now but I thought providing my card details would mean that amount is going to be deducted. So I was really finding it difficult to get a hotel. But thankfully I know that providing the details would not really mean it is going to be deducted uofront
You should always read the fine prints. Some options include upfront payments.
If they won’t charge your card, it would be clearly stated.
It is stated 1)Free cancellation before 18:09 on October 24(The day I plan to travel)
2)No prepayment needed- pay at the property.
I can go ahead and book such a hotel without paying immediately right?

I got one reservation ith free cancellation befire 18 august but a day after confirmation they tried billing my card and eventually cancelled the reservation.

Cancellations may be free up until the stated date, however, some properties may indicate that pre-payment will be charged at anytime.
Ofcourse, this would be a hold which is refunded upon cancellation.
Can one use hotel booking as accommodation plans for your uk dependants visa application, if as the main applicant has not arrived in UK?
There are no rules to it. Do what a natural person would do.
E.g how long would they stay at the hotel? What is the cost? Do they have sufficient funds to show they can afford it? What is the plan thereafter?
Also consider other short rental options.

It is not just necessary, it is common sense.
I am really confused with regards to the flight reservation. Most of the airlines require me to oay for the bookings. But i dint want to because i still dont oniw if i would be given the visa or not. What do i do?
Get a travel agent with access to a ticketing platform to do it for you. If you have one you’ve patronized over time, they’ll do it for free.

Ok please can someone one book the hotel ahead of time like three weeks ahead since some of the embassies the application process takes like three weeks?
If I book the hotel just for 24hrs whilst the application process also takes three weeks !
