Both techniques look very similar indeed, but thanks for explaining ;) I started training since 2013, but i'm trying my best alone, because there is no school in the area. So i looked for a online course, containing exercices for strength, conditioning, balance, kicking, punching and more. I also spar and do energy drill exercices with friends who are also interested and training in another martial art. Thank you very much for this video because i always got confused between Gan Sau and Kwan Sau. Oh by the way. I like the way you explain, very calm ;) Keep up the good work Gary Ma. Regards from Belgium 😀😎
Thanks for the kind words BlessedWarrior. Both techniques are definitely quite similar. It isn't uncommon to see people make this mistake. I'm glad you found this video helpful. I never thought there would come a day when I would get a message from Belgium! I know this is the internet and all, but it still blows my mind whenever people write me from overseas. It also blows my mind anytime I see Wing Chun speak to someone in such a way that it calls them to action, even when there are no schools within a reasonable distance. I applaud you and I wish you luck on your journey BlessedWarrior. 🙏🏼
You are welcome 😀 I never knew about your channel, i will have to watch more of your videos. This is really some great content man! Oh i'm actually brazilian but i live here in Belgium since 2011. You might never expect from where people will send a message though haha 😎😎 And thank you very much for the support. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Not sure you did it already but, can you do this with a student? See the move in action? I'm still a noob with Wing Chun and I have trouble on how to properly use this.

Hi there, yes I've been asked this not too long ago... I've got a few other things I want to put out first, but it's definitely on my to-do list.
@@GaryMaWingChun Thank you master.
Why is your wooden dummy high
Aplicatons please!!!post video.
I've heard that Gun Sao should have your hand under the armpit and not the midline
Depends if you’re shifting.
@@GaryMaWingChunok
@@GaryMaWingChun Well, I have a question: Does only Gan Sao change during Shifting or other purifications as well?
