- My ex car, so no more videos coming.
Just a short winter drive to test camera sounds/shaking/car noises etc and maybe get some thoughts what I should film with that M-B.
That car is quiet, so nice to drive, powerfull enough and even it's diesel there's little bit of that great v-engine sound that gets smile on my face. Not v8 but surely better sounding than 4-cyl. Very very slippery weather so even I have good winter tires it spins right away after I touch gas pedal. So no quick accelerations without 4-matic this time.
And there's two child seats, beer can bags etc on board so there's little background noise in some parts/bumps 😬
i have exactly same 2007 facelif avantgarde belle voiture
Are you happy from this engine? I'm also thinking of getting this E-class (even also touring/estate like yours, because I like the space in the back) But i'm not sure which engine is good on this Mercedes - 270/280cdi or 320cdi. I've heard that the petrol engine are more reliable then the diesel ones and that they're much better (like on the diesel u have higher maintenance
$$$), but.. finding petrol E-class is not that easy - comparing to the diesels.. at least here on my country the car sites are full with CDI's and not that many petrol engines. So i'm not 100% sure what to search for in E-Class.
280 cdi and 320 cdi with the engine code OM648 is hella reliable engine wise.
What MPG do you get when driving economically on the highway ?
Actually I haven't had that car for almost a year. But while driving long trips economically it was about 7.5L/100km. Not sure what it is on mpg.
What will show us this video? 🤔
4Matic?
Nope, rwd
Does your rpm stay 900 when AC is on and you are on stop?
Haven't had that car for a few years anymore so can't remember.
You're killing your brakes with traction control.
Yes, it's very slippery here in winter and I didn't turn off the traction control for that video but I also didn't killed the brakes just yet, maybe some other time 🙂
Sure, it's just a matter of treating the throttle more delicately and not forcing TC to work the brakes so hard every time you set off.
Sooo quiet out there...
Smooth and quiet 🤘😎
what winter tires size and model you used ?
I haven't bought any tires by myself for that car just yet because there was these new winter tires while I bought that car but those on the video are Bridgestone Blizzak Spike-01 245/40/18. Those are ok but I might say there are better ones for heavy rwd car. I often buy Continental winter tires for my M-B because those are not noisy and grip has been very good.
@@SirLaQ Thanks, the car in the video is rwd right ?
Yes, it's rwd with 7-speed automatic.
