    Okay you asked for it....WOW. That was indeed neat Glen. And yeah...I was waiting for something around the "all walks of life". Nicely done! A great Idea an I can see this as an appetizer event around the Kamado with a few whiskies....have a taste, take a shot, have a taste...repeat. Very cool!
    Merry Christmas Glen. Thanks for doing what you do!

    My old man once asked for a ‘blue’ steak at a restaurant. This French waiter asked him if he knew what he was asking for, the old boy explained that he wanted it so rare that a good vet could have it back on its feet in 20 mins and that all the chef had to do was make sure it was at room temperature and then just show it the flame and serve it. The frenchy muttered something as he walked away; the look of mortification on his face when he served dad and dad spoke to him in fluent French. I don’t know what the old boy said but I know we didn’t have to pay for the whole meal.

      Ohhhh SNAP!!!! Hahahaha I could just imagine 🤣🤣🤣 I personally can’t do a blue steak. I need a bit more of a cook 🤣 but I have mates that have it that way. When ever we would go out they could never get it right. Room temp, 2 seconds a side and you’re done!!

    G’day mate. Hope all is well bloke. I like the cook a lot!! Well done.
    I did picanha a little while ago but in small steak pieces. I experienced this in Brazil and it’s awesome. Add a little steamed rice and extra salt to soak up the blood and oh yeah….
    Ps. Any recommendation for good skewers?

      Hi mate and thanks! This was just a cheap ($15 I think) 32 inch Churrasco style skewer with a wooden handle. Most BBQ shops here in Australia will sell them though.

    Is rump cap different to rump steak? Could I use three decent rump steaks, or is it completely different meat?

    • @glensaussiebbq4823
      @glensaussiebbq4823  2 года назад +1

      Hi Daniel, it’s different but the same lol. When you buy a traditional rump steak (depending on how your butcher has broken it down) if you have a close look you will see there is actually 2 pieces of meat that are connected. The smaller piece is the fat cap/Picanha. You know when you’re eating a pice of rump and there is one section that’s just amazing! That’s the rump cap. So if you were to spin a couple of whole rump steaks, you definitely won’t get the same experience. Most butchers will have no problem in hooking you up with this cut though. Hope that helps mate. Cheers.
