as a forensics major who was forced to take bio, the yellow chunky blood is blood. the yellow color is the fact that the hemoglobin in the blood had oxidized (broken down). and as for the thickness, too many red blood cells and white cells and platelets will cause a thick formula
I’m not a forensics major or any kind of major yet for that matter but I learned this from the Yellow fever book in one of my classes, glad to see I wasn’t the only one who caught this
Imagine that. You're suddenly born, believing yourself to be a regular employee at a theme park, wearing a mascot costume. You are convinced that you are human, so much so that your mind is even out of sync with your breathing. And after clambering to try and take off that big costume for who knows how long, it suddenly hits you: You haven't been trying to take off a costume. You ARE the costume. You're not human. And with that realization, I can't imagine how much it must break that costume.
Yeah sincerely- I feel like this is the most depressing and saddest part of this entire story. Enough so- that it makes feel a little bad for PhotoNegative Mickey as it seriously thought it was human before and upon realizing it wasn't- ... I can only imagine how breaking that thought must of been enough to go down into an existential spiral. I even question if it ever accepted it's existence or really come to understand much of it.
@@riskingrain1560 That was exactly my thought as well. The first thing I thought was, "What was it like for the costume? How did the realization impact it? How would you react in its situation, having to come to terms with the fact that you're nothing but a living costume?"
You know there is Another series of Disney creepy Pasta's that start with one called the gateway to hell and eventually in those stories it builds up on the abandoned by Disney story, Basically the photo negative Mickey is a demon created by a man Who we are led to believe might be Walt Disney himself
@@BrianSmith-jx7td Not trying to sound rude or anything, but that sounds pretty uninteresting to me compared to the original series. I mean I've already had my share of been scared by related religious imagery and beliefs, but I think Disney and demonic activity- are poor combination honestly for horror. The entire plot line sounds basic as well with PN Mickey simply explained as being a demon and might as well been summoned by Uncle Walt himself- even though that totally doesn't sound kind of controversial to do.
I think this one comment has driven home for me why horror tends to resonate with queer and/or neurodivergent audiences. I’ve never been a horror fan myself (in fact I’m currently kicking myself for listening to this video because I have a sneaking suspicion I’ll be having some nightmares tonight-lol) but the way you just described Photonegative Mickey slowly coming to the realization that it’s not human reminded me a lot of my experience growing up with undiagnosed ADHD and autism, and eventually discovering those facets of myself. I realized I’d felt so isolated from my peers growing up because, in a fundamental way, I WAS different from many of them. You’ve really made something click in my brain here-I still don’t think I’ll ever be a horror buff myself, but I think I get what draws others to the genre much better now! :D
“Costumes are heavy with people inside and there’s no hook left for me” is genuinely one of the most chilling sentences I’ve read. Maybe I’ve interpreted it wrong but it’s as if negative Mickey believes the workers in mascot costume are suffering the same agony as he is, and because all he sees is the costume, not the human, he’s killing them to put them out of their misery, while unable to end his own misery because he isn’t human.
That is a good theory, I though it was one of the workers, or possibly negative mickey that had trouble staying up and breathing, getting on the hooks would allow them to breath easier with there being less weight on them. But now that I think more about it it's sounds really dumb
As horrifying as PN Mickey is, imagine how bad things must be from HIS perspective: Imagine - you're supposed to be a friendly mascot for an amusement park, and almost from the beginning you sense something is wrong. The costume you're wearing is hot, itchy and hard to breathe in. You can barely move, and it feels like you're sinking through the floor. You feel painful sores all over your body from where the costume is rubbing against your skin. It smells horrible, like bile and something rotten, and the colors are wrong. And when you try to remove it, just to get a bit of reprieve, it will not come off. And the more you scratch and claw and struggle, the tighter it becomes. So, you write suggestion cards, dozens of them, hoping someone, anyone, will help you, or at least give you answers. But no one does. In fact, it seems like the other employees are going out of their way to avoid you or pretend you don't exist. Then one day, you realize something. You aren't wearing a costume; you ARE the costume. That's your head you're pulling at, your skin you're scratching at. You're a sentient, animate mascot costume. And it brings you no relief, because the itching, the pain, the suffocation, the confusion - it all still remains. And as you look out at the other mascots, you wonder - is this what it's like for them? Are they suffering like I am? And you decide, if you can't help yourself, you can at least help them. One spree later, and all the costumes are where they belong, all neatly hung up on hooks, safe and sound. Oh sure, there was a lot of screaming and struggling at first, and they were pretty heavy to carry, but you think they understood you were trying to help in the end. Everything is now calm and quiet. Peaceful. But then you notice that there's no hook for you. And when you try to go back outside, you realize you've been locked inside the building. So with nothing else to do, you go back to the costume room and lie down on the floor. And as you lay there, alone in the dark with your thoughts, you wander why you exist. What is your purpose? Why are you in constant pain, full of bile and pus and rot? Why do you not have a hook of your own? Do you even belong there? If not, then where DO you belong? And if you don't belong anywhere, them why were you made? Who made you? Why did they make you? Where did they go? Why did they...abandon you?
Well..... that's fucked up AND horrifying. I don't know what it is about this fear, but supernatural creatures committing acts of violence due to innocent intent and lack of information really scares me. Because in their mind, they genuinely believe they are helping you. And don't understand what they are doing is scary and dangerous. And no matter how much you squirm and scream to fight them off, they are just attacking and killing you. And while they do so, they are probably thinking... *"Why are they not letting me help them?"*
@@Dan-qy6zv It IS terrifying, because it all boils down to one simple question - if they are capable of doing something so horrible and dangerous without even meaning to, then what are they capable of when they actually WANT to hurt you?
This video and all of your comments remind me of a horrifying Disney creepypasta called 'It's just a costume'. The narration that kingspook made of that horrifying as fuck story gives me nightmares just thinking about it. Idk if that narration still exists on youtube but it scars me just how horrifying it was. I can't believe how scary it was both back then and me just re remembering how fucked up it was. Chills man literal fucking chills. This is all coming from a horror fan.
While it probably seems humorous to some atleast, I think this line however just seems to indicate Inverted Mickey coming to achieve more self-awareness about it's existence and how it didn't seem previously aware the costume looked like a mouse but now realizing it. Which goes back to the sad fact that it thinks it's human, but isn't entirely aware or knows of all what's going on involving its existence at first neither even knows what it even represents with the costume looking like the iconic mouse.
i also love how some of the suggestions imply the inverted mickey is just fucking with the employes for funsies like taking light bulbs out or stealing suggestion cards. or maybe im interpreting it wrong idk
When I was in 8th grade we had a “spooky story” assembly where students would write stories to read in front of the whole English program in their hour, and one kid got up and read this story word for word, and I thought he was so creative and asked him what his inspiration was. I’m so glad to find out years later it was just plagiarism.
Fun fact: Mickey Mouse themed gas masks were real. Around 1942, mid-way through WWII, Walt Disney actually had gas masks developed in the shape of his prized mascot as the war was on going and the threat of gassing was high. The masks were made mostly to be used for children, as a way to keep them calm.
iirc, there were also two different Mickey Mouse gas masks, one was simply colored brightly, and shaped normally (I assume the name was just for positive connotation). the other was shaped more like the mouse mask (with slight 'ears' and a droopy nose piece), although the resemblance is still just in passing. neither truly looked like the mask you'd think, but both were made for children to make the idea of wearing a gas mask more appealing.
@@doomguy4522 tbh I'd much rather see those on a kid than the GP-5 mask, those are creepy enough to be referenced in pop culture. The Soviet GP-5 did in fact come in child sizes, given it's status as a civilian issued mask. They're also stupidly common, with 3 times the Soviet population being made until the year 1990. odds are you can get a real surplus one for under 30 USD, so you'd have a much higher chance of seeing them in an actual scenario. It's neat to me, so many masks, made for an attack that never happened. Forever unused, they float around collectors as a morbid reminder of what could've been. I got two! Edit: Note; if you do want to get one for yourself, be sure to check product descriptions. The original filter that came with the mask has been linked to asbestos. Usually sellers will put a newer version of the filter without the fault instead, but rarely the original is used. Product description will tell you if they switched it out. Cosplay versions of the mask exist as well. despite being around the same price as real ones, they have no protection and kinda are exaggerated for effect. Sadly they are sometimes listed under the same name without clarification in the title. so be sure to verify. Also Edit: wording
I was surprised when you attributed the yellow liquid to vomit. It makes a lot of sense given the context of everything. Originally, when you were quoting some of the suggestions most likely left by the Inverted Mickey, it talked about being covered in sores, that everything was sores and the sores were sticking to the inside of the costume. That brought me to a different conclusion, being someone on the outside who doesn’t know the story as well. Skip this if you’re squeamish because I’ll elaborate what I thought initially below: Before I knew Inverted Mickey was a Corruptus, my immediate thought was that the yellow liquid was pus, oozing from the infected sores on the body that was stuck inside of the suit. As it clawed and twisted and ripped its head off, the sores were bursting and dripping out pus in a horrifying and disgusting display. The visual of being an employee, forced to get into a costume every day that was so unsanitary inside that it was causing your skin to break out in sores all over was awful. And, adding onto that, as the employee was sweating in the costume throughout the day, the inside fabric was sticking to them, making the infection caused from the unsanitary conditions and how it rubbed against their skin even worse. Imagine at the end of the day, trying to take your mascot suit off and feeling the delicate skin of the sores on your body ripping with each movement. The agony. The desperation of wanting to get the suit off of you as soon as possible, but it feels practically glued to your skin. You just want to get out, to go home, to take a shower, treat those awful sores, but it feels like the costume is stuck. Every little jerk and pull done as you try to remove it is so incredibly painful and makes you feel so disgusting, perhaps even humiliated because of it. And what’s even worse: even when you get the costume off, your ordeal isn’t over. You can’t afford to quit your job. You *have* to come back into work tomorrow and put the suit on again. Even with some of your sores bandaged now, the rest of your skin is still exposed, still rubbing up against that disgusting fabric. Hence Inverted Mickey mentioning that everything was sores. Sores covering so much of your skin, sores that would just get infected again despite the bandages because you’re drenched in sweat by the end of the day. That visual and concept is both unbelievably vile and absolutely heartbreaking. Of course, the Corruptus isn’t an employee playing a mascot, but imagine if it felt like that. If that experience was its constant feeling - that agony, that desperation, that hopelessness. Truly, what an awful existence that would be, all because of Disney’s gross neglect.
it's also possible that the employees are younger folk, who may be going through hormonal shifts or have genetic conditions that result in acne. i'd wager that having fabric rubbing up against open sores on your face / body (you can get acne anywhere, it just needs to be skin) would be massively unsanitary and could probably contribute to pus stains being on the fabric, as well as contributing to Photonegative Mickey's blood looking a bit like pus.
this was my first thought when i first got to the part when it was talking about the sores, i feel like either vomit or pus would make sense for it, though due to the "blood" being chunky as well, vomit is probably the more accurate answer, but im glad to see i wasnt the only person to think that lol
Tbh i first thought that when the coruptus said that there are sores and later that all of him is sores ( hence the sores spreading) he was talking about decomposicion. Like being stuck in a rotting body. I asume the oposit of yellow is purple cause its on the oposit side of the color weel, and so i thought the blood was purple whitch also tied in with the decomposicion thing because in a dead body the blood doesn't have any oxigen anymore and turns purple and chunky. Of course this is only in the first stages of decomposicion, so it wouldn't make sence if it was left there in an abandoned park for years. But then again it reminded me of a torchured spirit stuck in a suit so maybe it got stuck in the first stagrs of decomposicion? But now that i know it's a coruptus everything makes more sence. Btw fun fact: rotting in your body while you're alive is a very much real thing that can happen and it's called acute radiation sickness. And the best thing is that the no hurt pills (i forgor the name) do not work : )
“Hi guys!!! What do you do if the head is getting a little tight around your neck? Time sensitive question :) no pressure tho!” “Lots of pressure lots of pressure lots of pressure”
yeah, like, imagine just being a general trickster, then finding out you aren't human, then just deciding "mmm y'know what, im just gonna start killing people"
"Shut the door, dear. You're letting out the cold." I feel like the Corruptus who says this may somewhat mean it literally, but maybe the "cold" represents the stillness of a mass grave, where hysteric bloodshed took place just moments ago. They weren't letting out the cold, they were letting out the dead: The cacophonous echoes of madness that still hangs in the air.
...how did I not realize that they were dead bruh I thought that they were still alive down there and that the madness was literally just screaming or shouting 😭 i am stupid
I thought that heat traveled from warm areas to colder areas. If anything, shouldn't the voice be saying, "Please shut the door, you're letting the heat in"?
i love "a few suggestions" not just because i love the concept of hearing a situation turn horrifying as it happens in the perspective of people witnessing it, but also because i love that one bit where photonegative-mickey goes "ICANTGETMYHEADOFFICANTGETMYHEADOFFICANTGETMYHEADOFFICANT-" with such visceral panic before coming back to the suggestion board like "nvm guys, it was my real head"
I always saw that story as equal parts horror and comedy. Plus, it's an extremely interesting way of learning what happened in the park. We never get the full context, only parts of it. It's like archeology.
The thing that fascinates/terrifies me most is what the FUCK happened to the people in Room 0. Could a corruptus be an event? If so, then it's possible the fear of being erased by the bomb attack literally erased everyone... And that honestly feels like the most terrifying explanation. A self fulfilling prophecy fulfilled by pure terror and dread. *Jesus.*
And even worse, someone else in the comments theorized the "anti nuke" (the corruptus) killed everyone in the room, but because everyone causing the corruptus was gone, it too died. Not only is it a self-fulfilling propechy, it purges itself from existence right after.
the mystery of what happened in room zero is why it's my personal favorite story of the abandoned by disney trilogy. your interpretation is really cool and terrifying, though
The “I am a mouse” statement is both hilarious, and legitimately terrifying. In one way of thinking it, if you had no idea this was Photo-Negative Mickey talking, then it just sounds like a very ridiculous and out of place statement. But looking at it from the perspective that Photo Negative Mickey wrote it, it’s like him coming to grips that he now knows he’s a costume, instead of thinking he’s a human in a costume, inverting the interpretation of the statement completely on its head.
That then begs the question of who wrote the part about struggling to breathe because the costume is alive. Was there actually a human inside the inverted mouse costume??
@dukecatfishjunior6291 the way I see it, it was so convinced it was human that it was literally out of sync with its body. Like when you suddenly become aware of your breathing and you have to breathe manually.
@@dukecatfishjunior6291My assumption is Mickey is meant to show what happens when a Corruptus and humans directly mix Kids and adults only know the mascot dude as Mickey, he is just Mickey to even himself, so he actually merges with the suit to become the true Mickey Mouse just from others' belief It could be possible the actor did die, Disney removed from payroll, but he was reborn as Mickey but still was seen as coming outta nowhere
@@dukecatfishjunior6291That might be the case for why he lashed out at other people for losing at a single player game Mickey and the actor are two different people but they start to weld together as one, trying to rationalizing losing yourself to the costume as an actual other person that ruined your game
So, as someone who experienced terrible working conditions (not from Disney, but you get the idea), this story hits so close to home from me. Things like shared employee stress within a company, having near death/injury experiences, and having almost no downtime are things that feel like it could actually give birth to such creatures. It gets all the more scary because of how realistic it is.
Yeah, the horrors workers often have to go through to survive are really messed up... If these are Disney's corruptus, imagine what Amazon's are like...
@@SolaireHighwindif it's a corruptus of Amazon's wrongdoings, I feel like something similar to Mickey would be appropriate. Like the husk of an employee or something similar.
@blazer-btty I'd personally say I believe the corruptus more so is the fear of what would have been an attack. The fact that room zero, a bomb shelter, existed would be enough to make people believe that being bombed could be a possibility hence the hysteria and the eventually "wiping out" of everyone inside. They feared annihilation, that fear being instilled by the mere implication of a need for shelter.
@@gummyboi7544 yeah, this makes sense, and would also explain why it says she is letting out the cold, after an attack everything goes hot and light, but since a corruptus is the inverse of that, it is just the feel of cold and darkness and death
To me, the scariest part of the Mickeys suggestion card is the whole 'ignore the last card, i forgot it's my real head' part. I dont know, it feels like he's fighting control or slowly losing his mind, its scarily realistic to what manic episodes or existential crises can feel and sound like over text.
For me it feels like bleak acceptance, he now understands what he is, and there’s nothing he can do to change it. He tries to accept it, turning his emotions on a dime so he doesn’t have to fully process it, but this method slowly drives him insane. And then he starts the murders
Room Zero is easily one of the most terrifying concepts i've heard of in a creepypasta growing up. The idea of being drowned and buried in a sea of cement is just bone chilling.
fun fact, there are a lot of bodies inside concrete buildings, but for most of them it's impossible to remove them without destroying the building as a whole, so they just stay in there
"costumes are heavy with people inside, and there's no hook left for me." Is such an ominous, heavy line, and also gives a clear image of what happened leading up to the events that happened in the room that our protagonist in Abandoned By Disney found. Photonegative Mickey began killing people, for reasons unclear. Perhaps it was enraged by the realization it was a walking costume, or perhaps it felt it had to treat everyone in the park like it was itself, a walking costume with no human life inside. Maybe it wanted to feed its own power, traumatizing more and more guests and employees alike, similar to the trauma that was its birth. Regardless, it kept the bodies in the costumes, perhaps a nod to how dead performers were meant to be kept inside their costumes until someone could pick up the guests. Regardless, this resulted in the Donald head with the skull within. And there wasn't a hook to keep itself; it was never a part of the park, and the hooks were all taken by the real costumes. So it flopped lifeless to the floor.
my guess was that PNM assumed that what he was going through was what every other actor was going through. the actors are always silent, so it's not like he can hear them talk casually and know that their costume is normal. everyone in the park is oblivious to his suffering because he can't call out for help. otherwise he'll lose his job. and it sounds like for a good while that PNM looked like a regular costume and that this happened over a course of days, maybe even weeks, before he became one with the costume. even if an actor screams when he attacks them, that's not enough to prove to him that they aren't in the same situation as him. if anything he can easily convince himself that it's because of the sores that they have. I only say that because "no hook left for me" sounds like he thinks that everyone wants to be on a hook. I'm assuming that being on one of the hooks would put PNM out of his misery. since otherwise he wouldn't care that all the hooks are taken. he'd probably instead say "and I'm out of hooks" to say that he has nowhere to store the bodies. well that and he's not really hostile in the original? the author runs out of the place but PNM doesn't even bother to chase him. he just stays where he is. I assumed that he took off his head to scare the author, but now that I'm thinking about it since he seemed to be consumed by the costume to the point that he wasn't himself anymore, going as far as to say "I'm a mouse" I'm wondering if he was still after all these years, performing for an audience. since "wanna see my head come off?" is usually said before you do a magic trick to entertain someone. food for thought. food for thought. tbh it's likely that that was the intention. actors have to be silent at all times. unless you play a princess or Gaston, you can't talk. not even if it could be an emergency. if someone is hitting you or might break a part of your suit, you can't say anything. you have to try and either ignore them, or somehow signal for them to stop. which is uhhh definitely gonna be hard when you can't use the stop hand signal because part of your job is giving high fives. if someone is in danger, you can't yell to get help. you have to try and signal for help. you can't even use grunts to get a security guards attention. you have to be totally silent the entire time you're working. which ... yeah. obviously is very frustrating and probably has messed people up who tried to signal for help when someone was in danger but nobody paid attention, even if the person was okay. so I mean to me it'd make sense that even when PNM is in agony, he'd stay silent. and just *hope* that someone helps him take off the costume after seeing his cards. because if he speaks to ask for help, he'll probably lose his job. he's still on the clock, after all. bc it seemed like PNM was still that poor employee for a long time, still had all those memories and thoughts, until he just became the costume. though who knows maybe the employee is still in there. somewhere. and is still aware. and just decided to speak because the place is abandoned who's gonna get mad at him. (then again the way he behaved in the original makes me think that he can't feel the pain anymore. it's just his reality now.(
@@chocomelo454 Honestly with everything this story gave us, I don't think there ever existed a person, inside the suit That would definitely be scarier, than just a living costume with no background to it, but I feel like, corruptus implies, it just spawned into existance. And also, if there really was someone, who like became one with the suit, that would just be disconnected from everything else in this universe. Despite the implication, in the suggestions part
Quick side note regarding this video that I would like to correct which has been pointed out to me through some of yall's comments. Later into the video when discussing my theory, I bring up the fact that there was a large amount of controversy regarding Mowgli's Palace as a result of its racist depictions of Native American people. This was a mistake on my part, as the story was actually describing depictions of Indians. I apologize for this mistake and will be sure to correct it in any further discussions about these stories! Thank you all for the comments and support for this video thus far, yall's positive reception has meant the absolute world to me! Because of this video's success, I absolutely intend on covering more topics like it in the future! Creepypastas are a topic I have been passionate about for YEARS now (as you can probably guess from this video and my username) so seeing that yall enjoy hearing me talk about them has definitely given me the encouragement I need to discuss more in future videos!
wait... so they were ACTUALLY indians this time? your mistake is understandable, as columbus set the seeds for millions of accidental false interpretations of the culture and it's name for many years.
Funny how this creepypasta told the story of Disney's corruption and greed consuming them from within, and 10 years later, given what's happening to the Walt Disney Company in our real world, we see corruption and greed of a different kind coming back to bite them. To me, the line "Abandoned by God" takes on a whole new meaning, as it now refers to how Disney's "God" (a.k.a money) abandoned it.
the power of actually reading the series, i mean it was obvious to me that this was the message even when i read them as a child. unless you mean how do they know disney is doing poorly, in which case looking at their public perception is more than enough.
I think one of the terrifying things about the Abandoned by Disney creepypasta is that it's written in such a way that when you understand what's going on, it only makes everything feel that much more helpless. If Inverted Mickey is meant to be a manifestation of the trauma caused by the illusion being shattered for children and the trauma that comes from that, and match that with the trauma that comes from the workers not being allowed to shatter the illusion and pretend like everything is fine when their coworkers die, then it creates a scenario in which, no matter what happens, a corruptus will manifest. No matter what, just by merely existing you're doomed to inflict trauma. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. It's truly hopeless and fatalistic, and that makes it even scarier.
And that the more you learn the sadder you feel for the monster, it has been lying there for who knows how long unable to be a human, with its last wish being able to free the other preformers by killing them, while it suffers of being stuck in itself
14:03 Words can’t express how much I love this delivery. The way Photonegative Mickey performs an ominous chuckle before saying “I am a mouse” gives me immense joy. They’re such a silly little guy, scrungly behaviour
“Shut the door, dear. You’re letting out the cold.” The way that this line was delivered, the fact that the creature speaking could’ve been at anywhere in the room when it said this, and the way everything stopped suddenly. It’s almost like a nuke metaphorically happened in the shelter itself: A plan, that plan starting to fail, panic, intense fear, death, to those who survived: unexplained tragedy with no closure possible.
I have a theory that Room Zero itself is a corruptus, that the collective fear of war shared by an entire nation of people caused it to manifest. The voice, I believe, is the room itself speaking.
Considering the nature of corrupti such as Photonegative Mickey, I'd say it would be more like an _anti-nuke._ Instead of a hot, bright artificial sun, instead a cold, dark void was instantly created from the hysteria of a nonexistant nuclear strike.
Another sort of idea I have about that is on how it only affected that room, and not the whole park, as with a normal nuke. As a corruptus is supposed to be a physical manifestation of a bunch of people's thoughts, the anti-nuke was only created from the thoughts of the people in that room. However, when such an anti-nuke immediately detonated, it obviously instantly killed everyone in that room, with a silencing void in their place. However, because there were no longer a sustainable amount of people thinking about it (everyone who got out saw nothing happening, and everyone inside were instantly killed) the anti-nuke and it's destruction instantly disappeared before it could leave the confines of that bunker, leaving only the more vague cold guy in it's place.
An almost HOUR long Pastra video covering an iconic creepypasta? You're spoiling us Pastra, I haven't even watched this yet and I already know this video was absolutely worth it! The art is also REALLY terrifying and amazing! Probably my favorite video covering Abandoned by Disney literally ever!
I think the blog poster actually made a huge mistake by revealing the existence of the corruptus to the public. If they are manifestations of how people feel about Disney, particularly negative emotions, then telling everyone that Disney has been creating horrifying monsters that are haunting their attractions and killing people would make those negative emotions even worse, thereby making the corruptus even stronger and more numerous.
@@froggy.2256 yes but it is very hard not to tell someone something like that cus you know more are still being made more people die and no one knows expect for you you stop sleeping at night you begin to skip out on eating you rarely leave your house your mind WILL break you will snap you will end up telling someone but they might not believe you but at least one person will and those kind if people tell other then they will believe it to no matter what happens this WILL NOT END cus no one can keep a secret forever no matter how much they try
I think the most striking aspect of the story for me is the idea that Disney would have a policy in place where if someone died while in costume, another staff member would have to sit next to them, take photos, and pretend like nothing was wrong until someone came to help. I just find the idea so horrifying because I was in a situation very similar to it. I work as a housekeeper, and I'm almost always alone. Most of my customers are regulars, but some I only saw once or twice. I would go to their house, clean, and then never see them again. One of these appointments popped up in my calendar. It was for an old man in a nice apartment complex up on the third floor. When I arrived, the door was unlocked and he told me to come right in. Inside, he had a broken leg and was laying on his couch. The apartment was messy, but not disgusting. He had me do a few odds and ends alongside the normal clean, chatted me up a bit, and I finished in about an hour. Two weeks later, his apartment showed up in my calendar again. I didn't really want to go back because parking in the area was poor, and like last time, I had to park several blocks away from the building and carrying all my equipment to complex and then up to the third floor. Before I went into the apartment, I told the cleaning company I don't want to keep him as a regular since parking was such a nightmare. I knocked on the door, didn't hear an answer, and then remembered the door was unlocked last time. I opened it, and the apartment was dark save for the dim light shining through the partially open blinds. It had a strange and pungent smell to it, like old wilted houseplants that hadn't yet dried out. The old man was where I last saw him: laying on the couch with his leg propped up fast asleep. I didn't want to wake him and asked the conpany what I should do. They asked me to gently wake him and go about the clean. Reluctantly, I walked over to the old man, but I stopped when I realized his head was melting into his hand. My heart quicked as my eyes traced his body and saw his bloated, yellowed stomach. He wasn't asleep; he was dead. And he had been dead for nearly two weeks. I couldn't bring myself to move closer and get a better look. My body was screaming at me to move away and not to look, becauae I knew his rotted face would haunt me forever. So I backed away and told the office, and then called the police. Thankfully, I wasn't forced to wait in the room with the body or sit next to it, but I did have to wait outside the apartment for the police and paramedics to arrive. I sat in the lobby for nearly an hour. The lady behind the desk got me hot tea and gave me a hug. The officers were friendly, and the office told me to take the rest of the day off and to let them know if I needed more time to recover from the shock. I remembering thinking about how long the old man had been rotting, and that no one had noticed he had died. No one called, no one checked up on him, nothing. Neighbors had walked past his apartment and lived next door, unaware that he was dead. I was probably the last person he saw. I can say from personal experience howing shocking and viscerally horrifying it is to stumble across a dead body, but the idea of being forced to sit next to it for God knows how long until help arrives scares me in a way I can't articulate. Especially because it doesn't sound far off from a policy Disney would actually have, because they already have policies and training in place for employees for how to handle human ashes and remains for when a family member inevitablely spreads their loved one's remains in the Happiest Place on Earth.
I'm sorry you had to go through that. I hope for everyone's sake that that isn't a rule in place because only God knows how long that would've been going on up until now.
You forgot to mention that the skull that fell of Donal´s head could be perfectly the rests of someone who died during job and was hidden when the chance was given to protect the "magic" and left there due to negligence. That poor dude´s "grave" was just the perfect place for Anti-Mickey to manifest.
"Shut the door, dear. You're letting out the cold." The line, the utter delivery, and the face that's delivering that very line. I cannot exaggerate when I say that chills ran from head to toe.
Pastra changing Clyde's design or color palette for specific videos is one of the ways he truly shows the care he puts in them. Little details really count.

Room Zero’s description of Eda’s story will always chill me to the bone, the fact that all those people simply disappear and a few people are left outside in the empty park is just so scary. Not to mention the voice, whoever or whatever it was possibly being directly in front of her face, yet impossible to see, is horrifying.
@@rollureyes69420I went back and read the story, and they actually never left the bunker. Disney sealed the bunker without even going into the bunker. Eda says "they're all still down there with whoever or whatever that thing was" or something along those lines. It's horrifying to think that there might be hundreds of corpses of entire families buried in a large pitch black underground concrete room.
I think the negative Micky wasn't always negative, so it was able to blend in. That's why they seemed confused about extra costumes. If there was a photo negative of their most popular mascot they would notice that one specifically and not just that there's seemingly one extra. And that the corruptus is the suit, and one of the actors wore it. That's why sometimes it seems like it's from the pov of the suit, and other times from someone in the suit. The person inside saying they can't get the head off and the suit saying "it's my actual head." Why the suit is breathing and why it's described as sticking to the sores. Eventually, for whatever reason, it took over fully.
@@insertedgynameherethe blood is too coagulated for them to still be alive in there, but considering the supernatural elements of the corruptus even existing they could totally be aware in there.
I feel like there is a problem with the idea of someone wearing it as a suit: that would mean there is an extra staff member assigned to wearing a suit, despite there being a specific number of suits for a specific number of employees, who puts on a suit that is not hanging up on the hooks because it's not actually a suit.
@@insertedgynamehere An extra suit MEMBER was seen walking around the park. Not hanging up, one walking around. The guy focused on security noticed that there are more costumes walking in the park than there are supposed to be. So there would need to be an extra personnel meant to be costumed to begin with if someone was to be wearing that corruptus suit.
Something about the "If the employee using the costume dies inside while taking photos, another employee is forced to go over to continue taking photos with said body, until somebody came to dispose of it." is so chilling, it's so unnerving, the idea that someone was sent to take pictures with another person's body, without the guests even knowing anything about it is just... fascinating, the dread invading my body as I was listening to that made my smile of interest fade into a face affected by fear, very well executed.
@@virtuedreamer6623 It's *definitely* not real, because realistically any company that had an employee collapse on the job and that didn't at least attempt to revive them would be sued like nobody's business. I don't know for certain what the parks' actual policy for this event is, but I'm sure it's more along the lines of "keep the guests calm but keep them away, attempt to revive the employee and call for emergency medical staff". Disney parks are very committed to staying in character and such, but not to the extent that they'd allow themselves to be found legally liable for not trying to assist a dying employee. Slimebeast's Disney pastas are just scary stories. IRL Disney is corrupt the same as any big business, but these stories take that corruption to dramatic extremes to create more effective horror.
@@virtuedreamer6623 So, as far as I know, the current policies are that if a costumed character becomes unconscious or unresponsive, employees will pretty swiftly come in and carry them away to get help out of view of crowds. Every single costumed character has at least one "handler" that escorts them throughout the park. These handlers, who are dressed like a basic employee, have a multitude of responsibilities like helping the character move to their place (since there's low visibility in the costumes), protect them from unruly guests, and keep check on their health. Depending on the costume and how troublesome it is, characters can sometimes have multiple handlers at a time. One costumed character will never be responsible for another's safety. If they're in the same space as the incapacitated costumed character, they might cause a distraction while that person is being taken away, but no, they will not have to take pictures with them.
Yeah that fucks with me too cuz it sounds like a legitimate rule that Disney would have. Reminds me of the fact that no one technically dies at Disney parks, their bodies are just dragged off the property and only then are they declared dead.
I’m pretty sure there’s a similar rule that Disney enforces. Basically Disney will not allow you to legally die on their property. It’s very strange and they only do it just so they can say “No on dies in Disney Land lol”
bro that "photo shot" drawing at 4:33 was an actuall jumpscare that scared the ever loving goofy outta me. If you drew that one, It was GREAT. terrifying. and as for the other drawings you made, they are by far my favorite visual depictions on what happens in this story. make for of these! you're amazing!
The part where the mascot employee describes what the protocol is when an actor drops dead while in character is especially dark for me because of how poorly the mascot actors are treated in real life. The actors have very strict guidelines that they need to follow at all times such as never breaking character even for a second, having very specific responses to certain questions by park attendants, and each actor needing to sigh autographs in a certain style of handwriting that they need to copy down perfectly. Imagine that, having to write something down while wearing a costume with a big awkward head and bulky gloves let alone perfectly.
Considering your theory: It makes Photonegative Mickeys “Costume is sticking to sores….all I am is sores…” so much more chilling. The fact it’s skin is made up of sores probably references how the costumes irritated the employees’ skins due to wearing them for long periods of time. This and Photonegative Mickey talking about the breathing referencing how suffocating the masked mascots probably felt wearing their costumes. Such an interesting take on a story that left me wondering on the identity of Photonegative Mickey
He also changes the eyes, which is a small detail that I just adore! Like how Zombie Clyde has X pupils, where in the inverted palette he has these really eerie rounded ones. Just a really nice touch!
Easily my favourite part of this story is just how abstract Photo-Negative Mickey is. Specifically, the fact that he’s so unnatural, he himself can’t rationalise his existence. It makes you wonder just how torturous it must be to be a Corruptus. Not the ones like the faceless children or the Gascots, but the ones like Photo-Negative Mickey who are at least self-aware enough to understand how abnormal they are. That’s definitely a new favourite horror trope for me! (EDIT: Kinda unrelated but I’ve been thinking about the whole “if I don’t synch my breathing with the costume’s I can’t get any air” thing, and I’ve come to this conclusion: maybe Photo-Negative Mickey is an organic being with its skin replaced with a Mickey Mouse costume. The talk about how its entire body consists of sores which stick to the suit is accurate, because its “sores” are actually exposed muscle stuck to the fabric as if it were flesh. That doesn’t rationalise how the suit can breathe on its own and the body having to synchronise with it, I know, but it explains a lot, don’t you think?)
Or, it could be a poor employee who got into the living suit corruptus-thingy thinking that it was meant for them to wear. Which makes it even more horrifying.
i wonder if, in the scenario where photo negative mickey is a sentient costume with no one inside, its possible its issues with breathing are less literal and more something that came from the employees trauma from the bad regulations with the suits, ive seen a lot of people say wearing those feel suffocating, specially if worn too long without breaks, so while mickey is only one body it feels as if its two trying to breathe in synch, because thats what the suffocation felt like for the employees who had to wear the costumes
"every little flaw, every blemish, every sign of corruption and trauma brought by Disney, is manifested in the abandoned by Disney universe as an inverted Mickey Mouse costume" Considering Disney today, this is truly horrifying
Was never super familiar with this creepypasta before other than through osmosis. But when I first saw the line "Abandoned by God," my initial interpretation was that it was written from the perspective of Negative Mickey. To him, Disney was his creator and therefore his God, and they rejected him by trying to bury him and cover up his existence.
Never thought I would see a such well documented storytelling of a creepypasta, mixed in with drawings of absolute horror from pastra. Just that "negative" mickey, looking at it for too long gives me shivers, just, THAT, photograph...That is something I will see in my nightmares. What a banger of a video...👏
Honestly I’m so disappointed I haven’t come across this story sooner. I was really into Creepypastas when I was about 14/15, but. Well. I came in during the Slump Era. Like Clockwork, Zero and so on. But this story, the DESCRIPTIONS of PNM and especially A Few Suggestions… at 19 years old, they had me genuinely terrified. And the fact that each story only adds more and more to that original Creepypasta… I would seriously love to be able to write horror as well as Slimebeast.
What still confuses me about this series is the continued mention of “faceless children” and how an employee so nonchalantly mentioned how he had been killing them for a while now.
Maybe the faceless kids are the kids who go missing at Disney? Like everyone knows it happens but they don't think of what the kids look like. You just know and think it happens. Kids are bound to go missing in a theme park that big, but people don't deep dive who the kids were or how many so that turns into a bunch of faceless children roaming Disney. And they are possibly influenced by the fear and confusion of actual children who get lost and some never found. But i'm not sure about the employee killing them signifies.
I’ve read the story and he kills them to get rid of the, because for some reason he acts like they’re semi normal guests and killing them is the only way to get rid of them. Like of course they’re mad dude
@@BILLCIPHER8 I mean, it's mentioned at one point that some Corruptus were terminated when they were present at a park, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was an instance of that being the case. Maybe a rare case of a more casual park employee being 'in the know' about Corrupti.
one of the last suggestion notes in a few suggestions is from photonegative mickey, which reads "HAHAHAHA franks face was like a bad looking plate of mashed potatoes when they pulled him out but when i laughed at it everyone looked at me even the people with faces which is odd", considering that photorealistic mickey kills the human mascots in costumes by hanging them on the hooks, maybe he views other humans as "faceless"?
14:40 “All I Am is Sores.” Honestly gives me chills, and even tho I’ve never read or heard this series I think it’s my Favorite line. It feels Raw for some reason, it truly does put into perspective the Misery and Agony this character must be in
it really hits home for me, as someone with a skin picking disorder. Since I was little I have been covered in scabs and open sores. I don't think I've ever had clear skin after the age of 3.
A a young teen, I always knew that these "Corruptus" are supposed to be some kind of spooky lookin' beings. However, you explaining how they're actually manifestations of Disney's wrongdoings (did I get that right?) really adds a whole new layer to these stories. Great video as always my guy, keep up the good work!
I initially scoffed at the idea of Abandoned by Disney being considered anything more than just a dime-a-dozen "mascot horrror" / "scary cartoon" story, but with the knowledge of the other stories, the corruptus, the vomit, the sores, the metaphysicality and power that iconography holds in this story's world ... wow, that's crazy scary and madly creative. Great video
The whole ‘your mind makes it real’ is the scariest part. And then the chilling revelation that for all their corruption and arrogance, Disney wasn’t even the ultimate enemy in the end. In fact… the narrator may have made it worse.
I still don't understand the whole mascot horror being its own genre trend. I remember when Fnaf was simply a survival horror game and things like this were simply creepypastas. I just find the new category unnecessary I guess, especially with the negative reputation it garners from things like poppy playtime or god forbid garten of banban. Anytime I hear it I basically anticipate the worst.
@@noodleman4555 I think because after FNAF people made lots and lots of rip-offs or fangames. They got so big in quantity people just decided it’s a whole genre
The mention of the blood being chunky always brought to mind the image of coagulated blood, which I feel like is probably one of the most repulsive things you could write coming out of a vein, lmao
@@funninoriginal6054 only if you manage to get it so rotten and putrid that every single bloodcell has died and all the iron's leeched into the surrounding tissue. it actually happened to Otzi the iceman when they were taking tissue samples
The abandoned by Disney series has by far aged the best in the category of old creepypastas. Shame it’s sequels never took off as much as the original, nor did we get more stories about the corruptus.
This is THE BEST creepypasta about mascothorror. Its so deep, it has insane tragic and horrifying lore. And at the climax man, its so scary, and thinking that it started with a real event, its so terrorizing. This is Perfection. And the thing ''mickey'' says: Want to see my head come off? its so good it became the first page of my journal ( just for decoration ) and broooooo. This is INSANE.
As someone who never read abandoned by disney, i'm blown away at how well written it is, LIKE SERIOUSLY what is this!?...absolutely GENIUS...my leg was bouncing for 40 minutes straight from pure anxiety and tension! I love this story sm!!
As someone who has heard audios of it before when I was younger, I honestly couldn't fully wrap around my head around it as much before as there's still things my younger mind couldn't fully understand and really couldn't come into the deeper depth and meaning behind these readings and then Pastra came back to this iconic creepypasta to cover a video on it as of today. And God- this actually had some masterful, actual GOOD writing behind it. It's good to see coming back to see a well written horror story. While also, unfortunately especially for people who really like or have liked Disney, aged well considering the themeing when looking how Disney is becoming more and more corrupted by corporate greed.
@@brunopagnoncelli975 Probably so. It still seems strange that apparently still works and lives there and try to still seem human up to the point they end up finding Frank and realize it was going to end up in trouble after being suspicious during the scene of the crime.
I love the climax of the original abondened by Disney, its scary because what’s happening is so hard to comprehend, its not like Mickey costume had hyper realistic eyes with hyper realistic blood and started chasing him, it just decides to pull its head off like it’s a cool trick while the protagonist sits there in horror, and it’s not some phsyco in a Mickey costume or some experiment gone wrong, it could be an experiment, but it’s definitely not human.
This man is crazy good at presenting these creepypastas in such a terrifying light. The story is great as is but Pastra's presentation of it makes it utterly terrifying. Great art for the stories (its Pastra art so its all great) but I also want to give credit for whoever he got to voice the corruptus, absolute bonechilling performances. Great job all around
Y'know, originally i just thought "Abandoned by Disney" was just your average, trying to be scary, creepypasta. But this video made me realize that not ALL creepypastas are bad. Hell, I know Sonic.exe is a absolutely shitty creepypasta, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying the community that formed around it, and loving creepypastas as a whole whether bad or not. These stories perfectly encapsulate what I love in creepypastas like it, taking beloved, kid-friendly characters, and turning them into horrible creatures beyond imagination, not just putting some "spooky" eyes on them and going "that looks good". No, I like a mystery to these abominations, why they do the things they do, why they exsist, and what there reasons are, only for those questions to be left in the dark. Creepypastas and creepypasta characters can be great if given to the right minds!
@@thecreator3145 Well it depends on how it’s done. Yeah obviously not knowing the origins of something scary does work but sometimes a slow burn leading to the reveal works just as well, which is what the story does.
i would say that i also didnt find the story all that special when i first read it, but i was pleasantly surprised by what the later stories added to it. As much as people may argue that monsters are more scary when they are unexplaned, i think there is a certain point where a lack of information can give the feeling that there isn`t anything to find and you`re just witnessing a monster for monster sake.
dude the room zero "you're letting out the cold" bit sent shivers down my spine/pos sound is such a huge part of horror for me and you absolutely nailed that, Pastra!!
Honestly I'm just disappointed there wasn't a real life-size kaa statue...can you imagine the stories that could be made about the goofy ah people wanting to meet the boi?
I love how striped arms is such a consistent motif, even in Pastra's art of other characters. It might be a small detail but I think it adds so much charm.
I would pay to hear Pastra do a whole creepypasta narration series, because his narrations of these were PERFECT. The music, the genuine tension and horror in his voice, the sound effects, its all so incredibly terrifying. It was honestly the best narration of this story i have heard anywhere. Also, to add a little terror to the "wanna see my head come off" line, it seems very... Mocking. Purposeful. Maybe im reading to deep into this but I think the fact that the suit explicitly asks, in a cheery mickey voice, and then immediately does this represents Disney's employees collective desire for the general public to feel lied to, deceived, and betrayed by disney for the awful way that Disney runs things behind the scenes, specifically the dehumanization of workers. For them to see what really lies under the "cartoon magic" that they love so much. For them to see that the mascots are actual human beings, not just products of Disney. Because that is exactly how a child would feel if they saw a character take its head off. Iied to.
The "abandoned by God" part at the end of the story has been the thing that has stuck with me for years after being made aware of it. The phrase, showing up literally mere moments after seeing the grusone and terrifying climax of the story traumatized me as a kid. The idea that something so inane and wrong happened here that someone, who we can assume was most likely religious, felt they were somewhere this dreadful and hopeless that thet felt completely abandoned by God is absolutely terrifying to me, and honestly feels really real. Ofc something like this is pretty cliche now, but this being my first exposure to terror bouncing with religion, terrified me as a child. Wonderful story, and wonderful video too. The mythos of this universe is amazing and I really hope this sparked interest in abandoned by Disney again.
Abandoned By Disney exposed me to the idea of horror that delved into the heart of the Disney brand, and it really opened my eyes. Knowing that Disney isn't that far off from your average Creepypasta evil is what makes me appreciate these stories. There's always an element of fantasy and nostalgia mixed in, something that keeps it memorable. I'll never forget listening to all the stories in the Abandoned by Disney anthology being narrated, and I'll never forget listening to the piano rendition of It's A Small World. There's just something that left an impact on me since childhood.
I feel like these stories also tell just how sad Inverted Mickey's life is. He was born from a concept so he didn't have a mother or anyone else there for him, the moment he came into being he was alone, afraid, and confused.
I know it's not your intention at all but I like how you specifically zero in on a mother at first It's like those terrible arguments that discriminatory people make, but applied to Corruptus Mickey "This is the version of Mickey that grew up with two dads" Ironic considering that within the themes of the story, Corruptus Mickey also theoretically represents Disney's practices of such discrimination. And that's why Eda dies in the story.
As far as we can tell, he didn't even kill anyone, at least not directly? Poor dude is just lonely and without anything to do or anyone to talk to. Edit: nevermind, this is completely false. Still, imagine if he really was more of a victim than we think, and never even wanted to hurt anyone.
This video scared me so bad I had to imagine that my cat was so cute she made a barrier around our house to keep demons and spookies away simply because of how adorable she is 😭
Room Zero was always my favorite in the series. I grew up fascinated by the hidden inner workings of the Disney company so I knew about the bomb shelters and Mickey gas masks as a kid. So when I read Room Zero it felt so real
Wait... Were the bomb shelters and gas masks an actual thing?? I thought they were entirely original made up ideas brought up by Room Zero and the author.
I just looked up the Mickey gas masks- and god does it feel surreal Walt Disney himself actually designed these things during the panic and dread during WWII. I couldn't find anything however about any bomb shelters that were built, cause even in the event of 9/11 they just evacuated the parks. Still knowing the masks, feels creepy and unsettling enough.
This creepypasta was part of my childhood, and what taught me to first start trying to make spooky artwork and drawings. I’m so happy it’s getting covered today!
Personally I'm a big fan of Russian Sleep Experiment and the absolute horrors we'd willing to go to in the name of science, and the nightmares we unleash when we go to far. Love hearing you speak about horror topics other than games, and creepypastas are a breath of fresh air, even within that. Hope you cover more!
God I hate that creepy pasta due to a simple reason , I suffer from epilepsia , making it so my brain doesn't really rest at night and the fact that when I first read it I suffered from insomnia. I was in fear not of what I might become , but what would I was going to witness that would twist my mind in such a way
It's kinda funny how the person inside the PN Mickey suit is slowly dying and yet one of the suggestion cards say "I am a mouse", not something like "I'm trapped inside the Mickey suit" no, no him being a mouse is enough info
I feel like Pastra’s art-style could lend itself beautifully to an analogue horror series- Especially coupled with his narrations, if he opened a creepypasta/ horror story reading channel, bro could make a killing Keep up the good work, espooki man
I very thoroughly enjoyed this video! I feel like it’s also worth mentioning how when the writer is mumbling “no” over and over again when they first encounter Photo-Negative Mickey, this could also be reflecting a child’s horror and dread upon realizing that the Mickey Mouse at the park is not Mickey Mouse, but rather someone in a costume, and they are desperately trying to plead that this can’t be happening, that they can’t be seeing something so blatantly wrong, much like the writer is.
What's funny is that the writer is figuring out the completely opposite. Like, for a kid they believe the mascots to be totally real and it would be horrifying for them to realize it's not an illusion. The writer is an adult and knows that the mascots are people in suits and not real so it is horrifying for them to realize that no this one is real
As someone who isn’t exactly what you call a horror enthusiast I always find myself coming back to these videos! The passion and enthusiasm in these videos is blatantly present to see and that is just such a rarity in many creators I find. What a great channel to be my take of fresh air!
I feel like the suggestion card story would be a really cool idea for a short horror game, you work at the complaints department of a company, and as it goes on, you hear more and more disturbing things, but you never leave your office or see it, leaving your imagination to fill in the gaps
I love the corruptus concept for how frightening the implications are Think about it: Since they spawn from collective believe and since the reason why Disney have trouble with them is because they're so big, it mean that any worldwide popular franchise and character is at risk of creating others Mario, Pokemon, Hello kitty, Spiderman, and more. Any of those could unknowingly be the cause of the next corruptus being born, if they aren't already
I just realized something! Anime is a big contributor to this concept since what anime type gets most people talking about it? Shonen anime. I guarantee that there are many of these things out there based off of anime, largely ones that have had a….. poor reception, even with time. Like some seasons of Dragon ball, or Naruto, or others to name a couple. And given the working conditions in the anime industry, only makes things way worse.
I like to think that horror doesn’t necessarily need to make you feel “scared,” but more just disturbed, and these stories prove that. I feel like saving a more realistic story can make something scarier, cause with most horror movies you can comfort yourself by remembering it’s not real, but with more realistic horror, stuff like that can actually happen. Now I’m not saying any of the stories in the video could happen, there is still some paranormal stuff, but Pastra basically explains it in the video.
Yeah! It's the whole fear vs terror vs horror thing! Something doesn't need to be "scary" (i.e. cause fear) to be horrifying! It's why I love psychological horror but am very not a fan of jumpscares. I like horror, not fear. (I think I understand the differences correctly, I'm by no means an expert, just neurodivergent :P)
I think as a kid I listened to MrCreepyPasta narrate Abandoned By Disney, but never the others. The most chilling part for me from this video was "close the door, dear. you're letting the cold out" just such an innocuous thing to say and yet the editing and delivery made me shiver. I think I need to sit down and listen to the whole series because its just... so good. I also ADORE the concept of horror through suggestion cards. I love stories told in unconventional ways and I truly don't think there's a better example than that... Just little snippets. Beautiful video, Pastra!
I think that him saying "wanna see my head come off?" makes it less scary, he's literally just doing a little trolling, a little bit of "joshing" if you will. What I would rather call, a funny, a mischieveous one, a mischieveous funny.
Ngl, this is the bit that freaked me out when I was younger, but that’s because the friend who was telling me this creepypasta could do a spot on Mickey Mouse impression. To this day, I legitimately sometimes can’t hear Mickey without thinking out this story😂
As someone who had a dad AND his parents who worked for Disney, this creepypasta makes it feel all the more real. I recall a story my father told me, it goes something along the lines of: "I remember me and my father working in the Hall of presidents. I always hated being there just for the fact that it's so unnerving to see such a realistic looking animatronic of someone who has been dead for centuries. But one day, we were making sure the animatronics were clean and styled properly and worked in order; I kept hearing voices and felt as if i was being watched...The older the animatronics were, the more eerie it got. I began to see things that no one else could, then...when we got to working on (I forget which president it was), it started moving on its own, it began talking to us, saying thank you and please get out. I swore to never walk in that place ever again.." With hearing all the stories of how eerie things got, poor treatment to the staff, and even some things occurring that you could swear were figments of the imagination...yet many people saw them at the same time. I can't help but feel more creeped out reading these stories..it gives me a shiver down my spine each time.
I can feel the writer's block lifting from my shoulders listening to this lol- I had completely forgotten about this masterpiece of horror media! This is genuinely why I had gotten into fnaf in the first place as well, because the idea of an old amusement park or restaurant full of childhood wonder being the complete opposite behind the scenes is my favorite genre of horror if executed correctly. The way that the employees had to sit and pose with the mascots EVEN WHEN THE ACTORS ARE SITTING DEAD INSIDE instead of calling for help or finding an excuse to leave is horrifying in the best way. Honestly this is the best coverage of the story so far, especially with the off-putting visuals and voices. It's awesome!
I genuinely feel like Fnaf was loosely inspired by this story. Not only is there the whole theme of corpses inside abandoned mascot suits and them being in agony, but in the original Fnaf game, a poster of Freddy on the wall would sometimes change to a poster of Freddy ripping his head in two, while it was still on his body. His normal model also has handprints in the same spots where he was doing that. The game also offers descriptions of blood and mucus oozing from the animatronic masks, which may have been inspired by the yellow chunky blood.
I feel like the sores Photonegative Mickey talks about not only reference possible sores caused by the costumes irritating skin, but also could be symbolic of just everything wrong with Disney, all the bad experiences children, parents, and workers have had. It being the “Dark Side of Disney” and all of the sores, all of the first-hand experiences and traumatic situations are what makes up the idea of Disney’s cruelty and apathy. “All I Am Is Sores” all Disney really is, is a nightmare
And on a physical note, Photo Negative Mickey had sores from the second he manifested. Imagine just existing one day, not even thinking about it, just knowing you're a staff member (Really you're not, you're just a manifestation of their feelings), and all you know is pain that slowly gets worse. You were never clean, and you'll never stop being unclean. Truly sickening...
Seeing Disney’s downfall in these last few years have really sold this idea. I used to adore them, but it’s been nothing but chaos and mistreatment, especially for employees at the park. My heart goes out to all of the mascot employees who have to go through what they do every day.
Never knew about this story, though I have definitely seen the Photo-Negative Mickey picture before. No idea it was connected to such a well made Creepypasta, man the bit where Photo-Negative Mickey talks about being "fused" to the suit was horrific (made almost sad by the idea it was still figuring out what it really was). Your art enhanced the storytelling so much. My God the one where it's ripping its head off.
I feel like the "I am a mouse" or the sinking part isn't supposed to have a crazy laughing voice I think a scared/terrified voice would be better since it was the employee who was trapped in the suit that had been causing him extreme pain
I feel like it works, it's like whoever is inside going insane realizing that they're stuck in the costume and that they are now "a mouse". That's just what I think.
I heard this story is fake and dumb.
Pin of shame
Edit: just realized its the author and now i feel dumb

Wow. Didn't think I'd learn stuff on a creepypasta youtube video. Thanks.
@@BrianSmith-jx7td
Not trying to sound rude or anything, but that sounds pretty uninteresting to me compared to the original series.
That is actually a horrifying perspective thank you
As someone who never read the original story that is a horrific perspective.
i think photo negative mickey is normal cause those were endoskeletons
That is a good theory, I though it was one of the workers, or possibly negative mickey that had trouble staying up and breathing, getting on the hooks would allow them to breath easier with there being less weight on them. But now that I think more about it it's sounds really dumb

As horrifying as PN Mickey is, imagine how bad things must be from HIS perspective:
Imagine - you're supposed to be a friendly mascot for an amusement park, and almost from the beginning you sense something is wrong.

Probably not the intended reaction but "I am a mouse" had me laughing my ass off. It's so nonchalant, I love it.

Nah, it ain't, chief.
Keeping them calm? What about us?! There is NO WAY I’m staying calm if I see a kid wearing a Mickey Mouse shaped gas mask😁
iirc, there were also two different Mickey Mouse gas masks, one was simply colored brightly, and shaped normally (I assume the name was just for positive connotation). the other was shaped more like the mouse mask (with slight 'ears' and a droopy nose piece), although the resemblance is still just in passing. neither truly looked like the mask you'd think, but both were made for children to make the idea of wearing a gas mask more appealing.
@@aiden_table I just looked them up. Nope, just… nope.
Those gas masks are shaped like my nightmares…
I got two!
Edit:
Note; if you do want to get one for yourself, be sure to check product descriptions.

Skip this if you’re squeamish because I’ll elaborate what I thought initially below:
Before I knew Inverted Mickey was a Corruptus, my immediate thought was that the yellow liquid was pus, oozing from the infected sores on the body that was stuck inside of the suit.
That is definitely a terrifying thought
it's also possible that the employees are younger folk, who may be going through hormonal shifts or have genetic conditions that result in acne. i'd wager that having fabric rubbing up against open sores on your face / body (you can get acne anywhere, it just needs to be skin) would be massively unsanitary and could probably contribute to pus stains being on the fabric, as well as contributing to Photonegative Mickey's blood looking a bit like pus.
this was my first thought when i first got to the part when it was talking about the sores, i feel like either vomit or pus would make sense for it, though due to the "blood" being chunky as well, vomit is probably the more accurate answer, but im glad to see i wasnt the only person to think that lol
And the best thing is that the no hurt pills (i forgor the name) do not work : )
i thought it was ichor lmao

the mystery of what happened in room zero is why it's my personal favorite story of the abandoned by disney trilogy. your interpretation is really cool and terrifying, though

Imagine if the room was a corruptus who is a representation of the kids fear of the dark, or the adults fear of the cold of death combined ?
@blazer-btty I'd personally say I believe the corruptus more so is the fear of what would have been an attack. "costumes are heavy with people inside, and there's no hook left for me."
Is such an ominous, heavy line, and also gives a clear image of what happened leading up to the events that happened in the room that our protagonist in Abandoned By Disney found.
The thought of PNM trying to be "normal" or "funny" and failing miserably is amusing to me.
@@AuuuuuuuuuuuAsad.
my guess was that PNM assumed that what he was going through was what every other actor was going through. the actors are always silent, so it's not like he can hear them talk casually and know that their costume is normal. everyone in the park is oblivious to his suffering because he can't call out for help. otherwise he'll lose his job. and it sounds like for a good while that PNM looked like a regular costume and that this happened over a course of days, maybe even weeks, before he became one with the costume. even if an actor screams when he attacks them, that's not enough to prove to him that they aren't in the same situation as him. if anything he can easily convince himself that it's because of the sores that they have.
I assumed that he took off his head to scare the author, but now that I'm thinking about it since he seemed to be consumed by the costume to the point that he wasn't himself anymore, going as far as to say "I'm a mouse" I'm wondering if he was still after all these years, performing for an audience. since "wanna see my head come off?" is usually said before you do a magic trick to entertain someone.
food for thought. food for thought.
tbh it's likely that that was the intention. actors have to be silent at all times. unless you play a princess or Gaston, you can't talk. not even if it could be an emergency. if someone is hitting you or might break a part of your suit, you can't say anything. you have to try and either ignore them, or somehow signal for them to stop. which is uhhh
definitely gonna be hard when you can't use the stop hand signal because part of your job is giving high fives. if someone is in danger, you can't yell to get help. you have to try and signal for help. you can't even use grunts to get a security guards attention. you have to be totally silent the entire time you're working. which ... yeah. obviously is very frustrating and probably has messed people up who tried to signal for help when someone was in danger but nobody paid attention, even if the person was okay.
so I mean to me it'd make sense that even when PNM is in agony, he'd stay silent. and just *hope* that someone helps him take off the costume after seeing his cards. because if he speaks to ask for help, he'll probably lose his job. he's still on the clock, after all. bc it seemed like PNM was still that poor employee for a long time, still had all those memories and thoughts, until he just became the costume.
though who knows maybe the employee is still in there. somewhere. and is still aware. and just decided to speak because the place is abandoned who's gonna get mad at him.
(then again the way he behaved in the original makes me think that he can't feel the pain anymore. it's just his reality now.(

What a silly little goober partaking in a miniscule amount of tomfoolery.
However, because there were no longer a sustainable amount of people thinking about it (everyone who got out saw nothing happening, and everyone inside were instantly killed) the anti-nuke and it's destruction instantly disappeared before it could leave the confines of that bunker, leaving only the more vague cold guy in it's place.
the voice is very polite though :)

Oh my god, that is horrifying!!!!!

@glitchon7151 they would have to be for it to bleed like that.
@@justinalicea1590 that's not a plot hole. They acknowledged that there's an extra suit. Someone could have simply put it up at some point.
Is this a real thing? Does anyone know what the actual policy on this is? I too find it incredibly fascinating.

@@yourforeign_corvidI honestly feel like an employee would atleast be cautious of the fact the costume has the wrong colors
i wonder if, in the scenario where photo negative mickey is a sentient costume with no one inside, its possible its issues with breathing are less literal and more something that came from the employees trauma from the bad regulations with the suits, ive seen a lot of people say wearing those feel suffocating, specially if worn too long without breaks, so while mickey is only one body it feels as if its two trying to breathe in synch, because thats what the suffocation felt like for the employees who had to wear the costumes
I’m not going to lie, the Photonegative Micky faces during the “A Few Suggestions” section actually made me jump. Well done Pastra.
"every little flaw, every blemish, every sign of corruption and trauma brought by Disney, is manifested in the abandoned by Disney universe as an inverted Mickey Mouse costume"

Same here.

Well, I would say the first story is definitely that but it does get better as new installments are added
Actually, if you want to make a monster scary, don't give away its origins. Junji Ito does a great job with that.
As much as people may argue that monsters are more scary when they are unexplaned, i think there is a certain point where a lack of information can give the feeling that there isn`t anything to find and you`re just witnessing a monster for monster sake.
dude the room zero "you're letting out the cold" bit sent shivers down my spine/pos
sound is such a huge part of horror for me and you absolutely nailed that, Pastra!!
I would actually love to see Pastra do a full dramatic reading of Abandoned By Disney, the narration parts of this video genuinely gave me chills.
OH MY GOD. I would LOVE that so much, and with the art?? Nightmare fuel. I love it.
SAME!! THESE SOUND AWESOME AND I WOULD LISTEN TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!!
LITERALLY
Honestly I'm just disappointed there wasn't a real life-size kaa statue...can you imagine the stories that could be made about the goofy ah people wanting to meet the boi?
ME TOO! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
"perfectly executed Micky mouse voice"
Pastra: no thanks
I love how striped arms is such a consistent motif, even in Pastra's art of other characters. It might be a small detail but I think it adds so much charm.
I love how he drew the main character wearing a striped sweater to fit with his artstyle more
The reason pastra doesn't have a gf yet is because he hasn't found any that is striped
Iied to.
That line he did for Room 0 was genuinely chilling
Mickey really said “yo wanna see a cool trick?”
It was pretty cool
I mean, the only thing we werent was alone
Unlike the Room Zero Corruptus. Just a bitter and evil creature who wanted to make everything miserable.
@@leighbelk769 hey , maybe it just liked the cold
I know it's not your intention at all but I like how you specifically zero in on a mother at first
It's like those terrible arguments that discriminatory people make, but applied to Corruptus Mickey
"This is the version of Mickey that grew up with two dads"
Ironic considering that within the themes of the story, Corruptus Mickey also theoretically represents Disney's practices of such discrimination.
This video scared me so bad I had to imagine that my cat was so cute she made a barrier around our house to keep demons and spookies away simply because of how adorable she is 😭
At some point halfway through I had to go get a drink and istg I was shitting enough bricks I could build a Disney park
same bruh-
"I kept finding myself being drawn back to it"
horror is like that, we fear what we do not understand and wish to learn about it.
@riskingrain1560 yeah Disney had the masks made to keep kids from being scared during the time that bombings were a real threat for American
learning that the mickey gas masks were real makes it much scarier
I just looked up the Mickey gas masks- and god does it feel surreal Walt Disney himself actually designed these things during the panic and dread during WWII. I couldn't find anything however about any bomb shelters that were built, cause even in the event of 9/11 they just evacuated the parks. Still knowing the masks, feels creepy and unsettling enough.
@riskingrain1560 yeah I was mistaken about the shelters. But I wouldn't be surprised if some parks built something underground for severe weather ect
I was in fear not of what I might become , but what would I was going to witness that would twist my mind in such a way
My absolute favorite. I had nightmares for days after I first read it.
It's kinda funny how the person inside the PN Mickey suit is slowly dying and yet one of the suggestion cards say "I am a mouse", not something like "I'm trapped inside the Mickey suit" no, no him being a mouse is enough info
I feel like Pastra’s art-style could lend itself beautifully to an analogue horror series-
Especially coupled with his narrations, if he opened a creepypasta/ horror story reading channel, bro could make a killing
Keep up the good work, espooki man
Well you're in luck cause I'm making one right now! In fact, my series already has three episodes out so far! It's called "Dreams of an Insomniac"

@@PastraspecI watched it, I got spooked. 😱
What a great channel to be my take of fresh air!
yellow chunky blood = mac n' cheese
@@organicnMechanicI’m making fucking mac and cheese and no one can stop me
I feel like the suggestion card story would be a really cool idea for a short horror game, you work at the complaints department of a company, and as it goes on, you hear more and more disturbing things, but you never leave your office or see it, leaving your imagination to fill in the gaps
I love the corruptus concept for how frightening the implications are
Think about it: Since they spawn from collective believe and since the reason why Disney have trouble with them is because they're so big, it mean that any worldwide popular franchise and character is at risk of creating others
Mario, Pokemon, Hello kitty, Spiderman, and more.
Honestly, a Spider-Man corruptus would unironically be the best thing ever. Spider-Man is the single most heroic figure in fiction.
@@tristanrouse6150 Yeah that would work!
@@tristanrouse6150
Considering most of Spidey's writters aim to make him suffer...
so its like the warp from warhammer 40k?
Oh wait.
That means the Emperor is gonna show up as a corruptus wont he?
Those illustrations genuinely added so much to the stories, nicely done.
He was just being a bit, silly. Maybe a little goofy even, playing a little practical joke.
Engaging in, a bit of tomfoolary
He was being a little wacky
Ngl, this is the bit that freaked me out when I was younger, but that’s because the friend who was telling me this creepypasta could do a spot on Mickey Mouse impression. To this day, I legitimately sometimes can’t hear Mickey without thinking out this story😂
A bit of a jest from a silly little fellow
As someone who had a dad AND his parents who worked for Disney, this creepypasta makes it feel all the more real. I recall a story my father told me, it goes something along the lines of:
"I remember me and my father working in the Hall of presidents. I swore to never walk in that place ever again.."
With hearing all the stories of how eerie things got, poor treatment to the staff, and even some things occurring that you could swear were figments of the imagination...yet many people saw them at the same time. I can't help but feel more creeped out reading these stories..it gives me a shiver down my spine each time.
I can feel the writer's block lifting from my shoulders listening to this lol-
I had completely forgotten about this masterpiece of horror media!
Yeah throughout the whole video I was thinking the 'yellow blood' was actually puss from the sores lol
@@pollaroiid "these last few years"? They've always been like this...
@@happyfrigginrainbowcookies that's somehow even more disgusting than the puke
Never knew about this story, though I have definitely seen the Photo-Negative Mickey picture before. No idea it was connected to such a well made Creepypasta, man the bit where Photo-Negative Mickey talks about being "fused" to the suit was horrific (made almost sad by the idea it was still figuring out what it really was). Your art enhanced the storytelling so much. My God the one where it's ripping its head off.
Pastra is becoming more and more of a video essay youtuber.
I thought he always was?
Well he’s pretty darn good at it
I’m here for it lol
I feel like the "I am a mouse" or the sinking part isn't supposed to have a crazy laughing voice I think a scared/terrified voice would be better since it was the employee who was trapped in the suit that had been causing him extreme pain
I feel like it works, it's like whoever is inside going insane realizing that they're stuck in the costume and that they are now "a mouse". That's just what I think.
