    2008 to 2019 had 6.0 gas with 5:13 rear end gears. 2020 and up has 6.6 gas with 4:30 gears. I have a 2014 gas it pulls like a diesel. Good choice 50k miles absolutely no problems. Still drives like the day I purchased . That's a bull line about the commercial finance. Good move . They where adding a few points in interest.

    Sounds like you got a great deal. Nice to hear a good review on the new gasser. My old 5.2 diesel also only hit 65mph before it was out of gearing. I might need to look into the new gasser.

    When I get started I’m hoping to get a similar truck with a hook lift set up. I could have one bed for stump grinding, one dump bed and a few containers for bulk waste containers rentals.

    Great video Adam the W4500 are awesome trucks you will not be dissatisfied with your perchance. I have 3 of them. The turning radius is on them are awesome you could do a figure 8 in a cul-de-sac. I've done it to show other guys to prove how tight they turn And they can't believe it.

    Adam, nice video & nice truck. $50K is cheaper than buying 1/2 the extended cab pickups out there so it’s a great purchase. Best of luck w/it, keep’m coming brother. Fran

    Nice truck and very true about going slightly bigger. They don’t wear out as fast. Gas engines are cheaper to maintain and repair especially in the newer vehicles. Also I have the same mentality with my truck that it only goes out when it makes me money. I have a small Kia Forte that I got for basically $500 my cost on a tree job, 30mpg and that is my cheap daily driver/grocery getter.

    Cool video!!!
    SO what's the main difference between an isuzu gas motor and a Chevy gas motor ??? Are the 6.0l gas motors on the isuzu the same motor as your chevy...

      Gas engines are all GM .the 6.0 has been replaced with the new 6.6 401hp and 464 lbs torque

    Another great video as always. Speaking of equipment and in the spirit of being more resilient 1 man business owner that is able to keep adding services, I’d like to get your opinion on the ventrac and the new stump grinder attachment they just came out with. Seems like a decent investment if your looking to go more then 1 direction. Thoughts?

      Is that the one that can mow on steep hill sides

    • @johnparker5069
      @johnparker5069 Год назад

      @@mustangrebuilder yes, they are known for steep hill work, pond and also for wet/swampy work or maybe just able to get into a customers yard without ripping it up they way other machines would. The stump grinder coupled with the ability to get onto slopes seems useful. I live in a community with fairly high home prices relative to my city with houses averaging 3-5 acres of forests and landscaped yards. 75% of the home owners pay to have all property maintenance done. Doctor/lawyer/executive types. There seems to be a pretty big gap between what the landscape services want to do and the tree services are willing to do. I primarily do electrical work, welding and have a 14” swing grinder. I’m hesitant to buy a larger grinder yet but am looking to add tractor services to my business. The ventrac seems to offer a lot of options for expansion.

    I'm in the market for an NPR...but can't decide between diesel and gas. Want it for a camper conversion to live in. Seems the highway cruising ability of the gas is it's strongest advantage, which for an RV conversion is pretty important. But i also heard they get like 8mpg which sucks. Any advice? My budget is basically 35000 or less and I'm looking at around 2015 models with a 14-foot box.
    As a diesel Jetta with A 5 speed manual getting 50mpg, i wish Isuzu still offered a manual transmission in the npr

    • @mustangrebuilder
      @mustangrebuilder  Год назад +1

      The older NPRs did come in a 5sp and the motor was smaller and not a stump puller but fantastic on fuel 3.9L then they went to the 5.2L the diesel if happy at 55 to 60 mph but dont push her to 65 .... the old gas was a chevy 350 (cheap to work on and replace) newer was the 6.0 and now the 6.6 which I love but my best is 11mpg also remember diesel cost more than gas ...I love both

    Son is really fortunate, there’s no benefit it the turbo diesel, even a hybrid now but surely want a fortune for them. Has a power take off, in other countries seem to have four wheel drive ones. I’d like to drive one through Americas to South America. Can any garage fix service them or needs to be commercial? It’s not a giant truck you could build an RV and live on that. Haul enclosed trailer. Well done getting reasonable price, crooked contractor sister hired paid 95,000 for a Ford 4x4. Absurd! That’s a sensible hood dad!
