You could get Kowalski to chase you without ACTUALLY desecrating the war memorial by offering to help Michael Angelo and taking a picture of the memorial.
I think the random door sound was from the other Kowalski going through one of the gates in Freeside. From my experience, the game doesn’t have distance scaling on the volume of that sound effect.

Actually, it isn't a random door sound. Sometimes a prospector uses the entrance to broc flower cave and by doing so triggers this sound effect. Happened to me in several playthroughs already.

Later in life he had a bad leg injury = cripple one of your legs for the end portion of the game 3) No stimpacks, just a ton of food because ... well, you just have to look at his portrait. 4) The church didn't let him do what he wanted, so he created his own religion. As they were an impediment to him, any religious groups he comes across should be destroyed.

I feel like since he has the explosives tag means you would be justified in using frag grenades and mines. They're super common, and just cuz he doesn't have any on his person at that time doesn't mean he can't pick them up anywhere. Respect to you for making it more difficult though.
When you miss that many shots in a row in VATS, it's probably due to the barrel of the gun extending past or through the target's head, so the bullet gets fired behind them doing no damage

You do realize there are 2 quests that give you a service rifle as a reward by going to Mojave outpost and helping ranger Jackson or doing the camp search light quest by collecting irradiated NCR dog tags
I would love a Fallout New Vegas throwing Spear only run. And two Skyrim and one Morrowind run. The Skyrim run is a Wooden sword only and a Wabajack only run. For morrowind a can you beat Morrowind as the insane Argonian called Bighead.

Can you beat Dead Money without healing a single time? rules: no stimpaks, no auto-doc, no regen implant, must be on hardcore, must head straight to the DLC from Goodsprings. endurance must be set to 5 or less to avoid health regen, use of buffout is allowed if you are 1 hit away from death, however, your END must be limited to 2 if you wish to make use of it. you MUST defeat Elijah, trapping him is not allowed. if you are too annoyed by concussions, healing your head is acceptable with a doctor's bag. other consumables that do not heal (but have positive effects) are allowed, including fixer and med-x. you may heal to full health before beginning the DLC as the challenge only really starts once you're there.
Here is a challenge you might like “Can you beat Fallout New Vegas while being a Traitor” Basically every hour of time (up to you time wise) played you spin a wheel with 4 options “Independent” “Legion” “NCR” and “House” Which ever it lands on you must turn traitor and do everything you can to fuck over the other factions When landing on NCR for example block out that option till the other 3 have been selected and then when all 4 factions have been played Reset the wheel to start the cycle again Any weapons are fine but you must change into a uniform of the corresponding faction (if applicable) Currently in the middle of The Fort? Welp now your NCR better start blasting

Can you beat new Vegas bwhile being chased by everyone? Silver rush guard can chase you, people sleeping wil chase you if you interact with them, and nor kill squads/hit squads will too. I’m sure there are others Edit: I know you just hearted this, but I think this will have more difficulty due to the differing speeds, as this could lead to ambushes. Being chased by kowalski and Malcolm, only to see the silver rush guard and several civilians walking towards you due to backtracking could make for a good scdne
You can actually abuse the ncr radio by getting a ranger, and reverse pickpocketing a high end weapon with an ammo type that is not marked as npcs consuming it. Basically afaik, mini nukes and missiles excluded, but everything else could work. It’s because the ranger backup is marked as a non companion npc. So you could give them a Gatling laser and remnants power armor, presumably, and cast enemies in a hailstorm of laser fire. I haven’t tried it, but it should work. There’s also the incredibly powerful glitch with Veronica Santangelo to recruit all the companions. In classic fallout this was a feature not an exploit, but it’s broken because it makes it easy to have an army of 6 power armor people Zerg rush quarry junction and simply go unconscious. You have given me an interesting idea to take the travel light perk, perhaps implant grx, anything to improve movement speed. Then wake up everyone in Nellie airbase or hidden valley and use them as a de facto army. For better or worse though nv is pretty empty of enemies in most places.
And so the kowalski that usually hangs out outside boulder city, chased death once again after every non-ncr faction desecrated the memorial, and the mojave wasteland was forever changed.
Idea for a challenge run for NV: can you beat fallout NV with only gear taken from the Gomorrah, since you love going on rampages against them, how about only being able to use items from the Gomorrah, so if you kill everyone you can use whatever they’ve got, armor, guns or any other supplies.

Can You Bet Fallout: New Vegas while suffering multiple personality disorder? Choose six different identities in the game, each from different factions, and every time you finish talking to someone, roll the dice and see which it lands on. At that point, switch outfits and roleplay as that character until you need to roll again.
I can't count the amount of times my newvegas has played that sound of a door opening for no reason. Usually its delayed from one of the times you opened it, or so i think.
Now after that bit there with Malcolm Holmes, you could do a Senator Armstrong playthrough. There are a lot of folks in the Mojave fighting for causes they don't believe in and there's definitely a lot of mention of chicken-shit beaurocrats too, the exact environment Armstrong would crush

Seeing you talk about Novac made me remember something. It took me 4 years of playing nv before I ever even knew where novac was. Reason being, my copy was of used on given by a family friend and the words were all glitched out and highlighted pink, so I couldn’t read anything. Also I was young, so I didn’t really have good rational thought on quests. So all I did was sneak through the left hand side of the map(literally at the border) avoiding deathclaws and cazadors until I got to new Vegas. It was only after a while I actually played the game the right way after I got a new copy of the game.

I would love a Fallout New Vegas throwing Spear only run. And two Skyrim and one Morrowind run. The Skyrim run is a Wooden sword only and a Wabajack only run. For morrowind a can you beat Morrowind as the insane Argonian called Bighead.
I actually recorded a wooden sword run over a year ago, sadly a majority of the footage got corrupted

Can you beat Dead Money without healing a single time?
rules: no stimpaks, no auto-doc, no regen implant, must be on hardcore, must head straight to the DLC from Goodsprings. endurance must be set to 5 or less to avoid health regen, use of buffout is allowed if you are 1 hit away from death, however, your END must be limited to 2 if you wish to make use of it. you MUST defeat Elijah, trapping him is not allowed.
if you are too annoyed by concussions, healing your head is acceptable with a doctor's bag. other consumables that do not heal (but have positive effects) are allowed, including fixer and med-x. you may heal to full health before beginning the DLC as the challenge only really starts once you're there.
Here is a challenge you might like “Can you beat Fallout New Vegas while being a Traitor”
Basically every hour of time (up to you time wise) played you spin a wheel with 4 options “Independent” “Legion” “NCR” and “House”
Which ever it lands on you must turn traitor and do everything you can to fuck over the other factions
When landing on NCR for example block out that option till the other 3 have been selected and then when all 4 factions have been played
Reset the wheel to start the cycle again
Any weapons are fine but you must change into a uniform of the corresponding faction (if applicable)
Currently in the middle of The Fort? Welp now your NCR better start blasting
A true Private Kowalski run would include going and killing Joshua Graham since he was the commander of the Legion's armies when Kowalski's brother was killed.

Silver rush guard can chase you, people sleeping wil chase you if you interact with them, and nor kill squads/hit squads will too. I’m sure there are others
Edit: I know you just hearted this, but I think this will have more difficulty due to the differing speeds, as this could lead to ambushes. Being chased by kowalski and Malcolm, only to see the silver rush guard and several civilians walking towards you due to backtracking could make for a good scdne
Legion only chases you until you get close to NCR, like McCarran for example.
You can actually abuse the ncr radio by getting a ranger, and reverse pickpocketing a high end weapon with an ammo type that is not marked as npcs consuming it. Basically afaik, mini nukes and missiles excluded, but everything else could work. It’s because the ranger backup is marked as a non companion npc. So you could give them a Gatling laser and remnants power armor, presumably, and cast enemies in a hailstorm of laser fire. I haven’t tried it, but it should work. There’s also the incredibly powerful glitch with Veronica Santangelo to recruit all the companions. In classic fallout this was a feature not an exploit, but it’s broken because it makes it easy to have an army of 6 power armor people Zerg rush quarry junction and simply go unconscious.
You have given me an interesting idea to take the travel light perk, perhaps implant grx, anything to improve movement speed. Then wake up everyone in Nellie airbase or hidden valley and use them as a de facto army. For better or worse though nv is pretty empty of enemies in most places.

Idea for a challenge run for NV: can you beat fallout NV with only gear taken from the Gomorrah, since you love going on rampages against them, how about only being able to use items from the Gomorrah, so if you kill everyone you can use whatever they’ve got, armor, guns or any other supplies.

Can You Bet Fallout: New Vegas while suffering multiple personality disorder?
Choose six different identities in the game, each from different factions, and every time you finish talking to someone, roll the dice and see which it lands on. At that point, switch outfits and roleplay as that character until you need to roll again.

I can't count the amount of times my newvegas has played that sound of a door opening for no reason. Usually its delayed from one of the times you opened it, or so i think.
Now after that bit there with Malcolm Holmes, you could do a Senator Armstrong playthrough. There are a lot of folks in the Mojave fighting for causes they don't believe in and there's definitely a lot of mention of chicken-shit beaurocrats too, the exact environment Armstrong would crush

Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as a Powder Ganger? Rules: you have to wear their faction armor as soon as possible, you cannot kill any Powder Gangers, you can only use weapons they would use, and you have to attack any NCR soldiers immediately.

Seeing you talk about Novac made me remember something. It took me 4 years of playing nv before I ever even knew where novac was. Reason being, my copy was of used on given by a family friend and the words were all glitched out and highlighted pink, so I couldn’t read anything. Also I was young, so I didn’t really have good rational thought on quests. So all I did was sneak through the left hand side of the map(literally at the border) avoiding deathclaws and cazadors until I got to new Vegas. It was only after a while I actually played the game the right way after I got a new copy of the game.
