I just have to say, to all of the people of Iceland, you did not make a mistake sending this to Eurovision. This was genuinely one of the best songs this year, and thank you for letting Greta win your national selection.

So unbelievable upset. I'm not an emotional person but I cried walking home after getting off the train from the arena. Greta told me herself how much she's worked and rehearsed for this. It's heartbreaking. She's a strong woman but I hope she realizes how much love we fans have for her.

The voting of 2016 was really weird, both the jury and televote. That crap like Russia (who, by the way, stole from our act!) actually won the televote makes me weep.

Im sorry but this is not less than Russia, the first song to show the performance was Iceland, i like more Iceland, and i like Russia too but it seems this is a big signal that the judges would do what it takes to make Russia wins....thats the only thing that I dont like..but I hope that another country wins, the public votes can do that

I am from Croatia and while this year I indeed do support Nina (cause her song is beautiful), in 2011, for instance, I thought our non-qualification was all well deserved. It was crap. In this semi, I voted Estonia, Netherlands, Austria and Iceland, cause our 2 neighboring countries (Montenegro and Bosnia) had atrocious songs. If you are true music fan, you vote songs, not countries.

Some people may find it weird and pathetic but I am genuinely very sad and disappointed with the results. Just how sports fans react when they lose something, that's how I feel about us not getting in the final of Eurovision. I didn't go in with high expectations (although you always hope) but with every day gone by we were higher and higher on the scoreboard and gotten such an amazing response. I really thought we would make it. I know Greta's main goal was to get the message of the song across (which she certainly has) but it still sucks. It was a FLAWLESS performance and Iceland can be very proud of Greta and the entire team.
If you had had Denmark and Norway at your semifinal you could have been a strong contender of qualifying.
She was in my top 5. I had no doubt about her qualify to the final. Amazing song!
I'm Greek and I'm actually way more disappointed for Iceland than Greece who failed to qualify for the first time. At least Iceland deserved to be in the final more than anyone.

Because Azerbaijan has countries like Russia and Armenia that will vote for them no matter what song they put out while Iceland is an island in the middle of nowhere.
Azerbaijan did their best to qualify, because they are rivals with Armenia, and they didnt want their biggest eneny to go to final and them to stay in the semifinal. Azerbaijan has friends with Malta.
