It also costs you more money in the long run to upgrade it. If you don't pay Ford for the lower axle gearing with lockers, then the ring gears are welded to the diff carriers. Meaning you're gonna have to buy entire new diff carriers for the front and the rear, just to regear the axles. So get used to one wheel peel OR pay Ford over $7000 extra to have it equipped properly from the beginning. Even if you pay the extra $7000 for those options, they then charge you for an automatic trans even if you opt for the manual.

Well isn't the two door also shorter? I always thought the reason Wranglers and Broncos were preferred off-road is that a short truck can't high center as easily or damage the underside. So it's hilarious to see these lame ass long minivan length Jeeps and Broncos they make now. Ready to tackle the most treacherous mall parking lot lol.

@@9706412739 Actually for extreme trails and rock crawling, most of us have always stretched out the stock wheel bases. The turning on tight trails can be fixed with cutting brakes or in the case of the new bronco, (trail turn assist), but the extra wheelbase is very helpful in improving steep climbs and descent, and climbs are where everyone shows there stuff. Get out of the mall and you can see whats real on the trails.

I had a base '84 Bronco II 4x4. I put 170k miles in 10 yrs on it. I beat the snot out of it. It was built Ford Tough! I bought a '95 Explorer 2dr 4x4 had it 10yrs 180k miles nothing but problems with it. Frame was starting to swiss cheese after 5 years. Bought a 2014 Explorer PI had it 4 years, spent almost as much time back at the dealer for recalls than actually driving it. Final straw, they wanted $3k to fix the a/c. Offed it at a big loss. Ask your mechanic how many computer sensors are on your bronco and will eventually go bad since most are made in china.

That’s a pretty badass little rig. I think the base model resembles the old broncos the most. I’m not particular on the style of them fully loaded. In my opinion, they should’ve based them on the f series like they used to with the 5.0 as an option but that would probably hurt sales with most of today’s demographic. At least they made it available with a manual transmission, even if it’s just to compete with the wrangler.

The base model also costs you more money in the long run to upgrade it. There are even more caveats if you fine tune and play with the Bronco builder webpage.

I really prefer a key start instead of this push button start. I also don't care for automatic high beams so I would turn them off. That tachometer may be the worst one I have ever seen on any vehicle. Too bad they don't have an option to make it a dial like it should be. I also don't like the electric parking brake. I much prefer an actual handle. The frameless windows aren't too bad until you get some freezing rain and when you try to open the door and the window tries to roll down it either breaks the regulator or it doesn't move at all and you can't get into the vehicle. Ask me how I know. I also don't care for these screens they are putting in vehicles now, but you can't get away from them. The automatic is a $1595 option. The wrangler used to be basic goodness until they found out lots of people would plop down $47,000 to $65,000 for everyone they could shove out the door. My local dealer will not stock base wranglers and gladiators. My local ford dealer has already pre sold every Bronco and Maverick that lands on his lot. He made it clear, if you want to pay sticker price, order one, because every one that is not pre sold gets marked up a lot, because buyers walking in are plunking down the money so they don’t have to wait.

I'm ready for this one! I feel you on the plastic 😅 I work at a chevy dealership and I can't help myself but to go out and pull it all off when we get new inventory!

Ryan coming in with the poverty spec 😂 Honestly would probably buy the same one and mod the hell out of it including some wide fiberglass fenders and rear quarters.

The local dealer here is showing $78k 4 door with a rag top. They added bigger tires but it's not a factory sasquatch package.

30k for a basic bronco still a lot of money, You could say the same thing for the wrangler. considering how crazy the market is, I guess the price can be considerable

Give it time. Ford has been known for heavy discounts. I agree, $28500 is not pocket change. Maybe $25k. In a year or two when interest lowers and market chills, more cars under MSRP
