With milk thistle and dandelion root you have to do research on what you can or cannot take food-wise and medication-wise with them. Be careful! Things that seem innocuous can be harmful when combined with these powerful substances.

In US we are capitalistically subject to everything big Pharma can dish out and hear very little about holistic and natural remedies...but my brother (other side of the planet -(Australia) states there a LOT more natural healing doctors and medications available . If a DR (big pharma) comes into town and cant produce the results (healing) his reputation will be severely tarnished and he wont have much success at making a living if he's not just ran out of town first.
Good examples are we still have not had cures for High Blood pressure, Diabetes, Dementia, cancer etc...The AMA or Big Pharma simply knows one thing, If they cant cure it with chemicals, they just cut it out....all the while making boatloads of moneyfornothing (Dire Straits)
The internet , and its development has exposed all this corruption and is why some lawmakers have it in their sites to more heavily censor or control it...but if one does the due research, can easily find the cure for all the diseases I just mentioned. Currently the internet makes it easy to view all pros and cons and other means of verifying that the solutions do work....so at least for now we have that going in our favor.

    • @Angelou333
      @Angelou333 7 лет назад +25

That's a good question. I think the question would be, who do you sue? The sugar industry for pushing sugar and having their past board members also serve on the boards of the AHA and ADA. Or do you sue the AHA and ADA for letting their board members have such affiliations. Or do you sue the media for sensationalizing a faulty study that had cherry picked results and was also debunked stating that countries that followed low fat/high carb diets were slimmer. This issue has so many hands involved it would be difficult to take action. I feel like our grass roots actions of giving as many people as we can the information has been working. Now, my regular doctor has started advocating for a low carb/high fat diet.

That is a great question, and it’s one that I’ve been asking myself for a few years now. The massive class action suit may manifest itself as a revolution. Since our government of the 1% is ruling and killing the rest of us it seems very obvious that the culprit is the US Government. I would go as far as to say that the US Government is a weapon of mass destruction.
Look around, there are no subsidies for growing kale or broccoli. But GMO corn to feed to and keep grass eating animals fat and sick are abundant as are subsidies for GMO wheat and soy.
50 years ago 1 of 5,000 kids were autistic, by 2033 it is estimated that 1 of 2 will be. It’s early stage population reduction...they’re doing it with food (if you can call it food) and food addictions.
      Wake up people!!

    • @Angelou333
      @Angelou333 7 лет назад +11

You are so right, it's hard to get people to wake up to this since they have been given faulty nutrition information from early childhood. It's ingrained and I think you're right about controlling the population. More and more people have mental illnesses, learning disabilities, cancers, infertility, and so many other health issues with of course "no cause." Healthy food does cost more and that is completely unacceptable for those who want to make the change.

Update; down from 230 lbs to 191 in 3 months. That’s 39 pounds by NOT following “traditional” recommended low fat (they add extra sugars to ALL low-fat foods), grains (carbs), starches... it’s like they want us fat and sick in order to maximize profits for the food industry and big Pharma. I started looking in youtube videos and came across a few videos from Dr. Berry, Mark Hyman, and Dr. Eric berg and also Nina Teichols; I cut out all the vegetable oils except for Olive and Avocado oils, I cut all carbs and ate a ketogenic diet. After being in this diet for 3 months I lost quite a bit of belly fat, I went to see my new doctor and she said my fatty liver was gone. I am still following the keto diet, mostly carnivore and I lost 30+ pounds and feel great. I do eat salads with my meat and I am mostly a one meal a day guy, except the weekends. I'm 71. When I was kid growing up in south Texas there were three obese people in town. The lady that worked at the theater who could drink all of the soft drinks and popped corn that she wanted, the beer distributor, another man who I didn't know much about. Everyone else was either then, or muscled up from manual work. None of the ranchers or farmers were large. It was the late 60's during the Cuban missile crisis that supplies of sugar from Cuba were cut off and the FDA approved high fructose corn sweeteners as a replacement. Corn had always been used to fatten cattle before taking them to market. In Europe, corn was considered to be food for livestock. It was at this time people started to have weight issues.

Great stuff Doc, thanks. Did an about-face after I saw and felt where I was heading. Among diet and exercise I'm finding intermittent fasting to be a great way to tap into my fat reserves. I can literally feel the fat being taken from my back area. I have to be conscious of it though, not eating is not enough. I need to acknowledge my hunger and choose to deal with the feelings associated with that hunger. I'm finding that I block a lot of emotions through eating so when I start to control my eating more I really need to be ready to deal with the emotions; it's the secret.

Dr Hyman: I was diagnosed with NAFL and my primary care doctor told me to stay away from all fats and switch to a vegetarian diet. After doing some research online, I learned that my problem was that I eat far too many processed carbs. I did an experiment. Against my doctor's orders, I decided to go on a high fat and low carb diet. For 30 days, I did the following almost religiously: I ate 6 eggs and 6 strips of bacon every morning. Coffee with coconut oil and grass fed butter. For lunch and dinner, I ate 6 oz of a protein and a salad. At night I would take a table spoonful of coconut oil (which helped me sleep for some reason). After 30 days, I lost 30 lbs (200lbs) and my lipids showed higher HDL and lower LDL and lower Triglycerides. But most importantly, my liver enzymes in my blood drastically dropped way under the normal range that my doctor canceled my scheduled liver biopsy essentially saying my liver is healed.
I am not saying every one should do what I did, but it worked for me. Typically my diet is not so strict now, but I do limit my processed carbs and eat more fat where possible.

    • @bushhack
      @bushhack 8 лет назад +2

Your liver is not healed yet. It will take a long time (maybe years) on the bulletproof diet you are referring to really "heal" or reverse your overstock of liver fat. The MCT you added will reverse the viceral gunk fast. You may still want a biopsy to see where you are at now and then do another in a year to see how far you've gone. Just a thought.

Milk Thistle along with a drastic diet change is helping me, along with Magnesium. Milk Thistle protects and repairs your liver while you lose weight, get fitter etc. Also I take it on an empty stomach so it works faster. Strength and weight training also get rid of internal fat around your organs. Dr and exercise physiologist told me that. So I do strength training two to three times a week as well as walking at least 30 mins a day. Any extra will help too. The pain in my liver subsided once I started taking the milk thistle. Really is a wonder drug.

I use bentonite clay in water and I take coconut oil. I also use Milk Thistle as well as other supplements. I also take systemic (proteolitic) enzymes and digestive enzymes. Good Luck. How have your efforts been?
The pandemic and the resultant lack of movement set me off my Weight Watchers “maintenance” of my original goal weight. Using an under-the-desk elliptical has helped me to tone my waist and belly.
I still have some more fat to “melt”, and am convinced that my liver will rebound, even though I am 78. If I have some cirrhosis scarring on my liver, I can’t change that, but the reduction of the fat in my liver is proving to be easier than I thought and the remaining unscarred liver can still do its job.
Reduce refined carbs of all kinds and we give our livers the opportunity to do their job of detoxifying our bodies.
I read Dr. Hyman’s book sometime ago and thought its information was/IS valuable.

Choline chloride is very good for the liver .
One of the main causes in America of fatty liver is high fructose corn syrup which they put in almost everything especially many fast foods and the fast food drinks ... it cannot be absorbed in the cut and shoots straight to the liver causing fatty liver .
Please try methi powder which is the ground up seed of the fenugreek plant which has been used for thousands of years to balance the hormones for men and women and to fight diabetes .

I just found out I have fatty liver on almost my entire liver, except for two small spots. What makes me upset is that they apparently knew I had fatty liver 4 years ago, when I had an MRI for my Crohn’s disease, but they DIDN’T even MENTION that to me! The ultrasound technician slipped when I said “I wonder if I have fatty liver” and she replied, “well, we already knew that...” and explained it was mentioned in my medical records. Who knows how much worse my liver has gotten in 4 yrs! No one saw this was important to mention?? And the only reason we went back to looking at my liver is bc my enzymes keep reporting high the last few blood tests I’ve gotten before my infusion of Crohn’s meds.

Well now I’m having symptoms that seem to be from my liver and my liver function test results show elevated in AST, ALT and GGT. I suddenly gained almost 15 pounds in less than a month and thought something is wrong. I had upper and lower chest and abdominal X-rays last Friday. I have a fatty liver. On 10/31/2000, I was told by a dr. That I had gall stones and my gall bladder had to be removed. At that time, the nurse just said reduce your fat. Nothing else about how it effects my liver or anything. Fast forward to 2017, dr. Says you have a fatty liver, lose weight. Again, no info about how it became fatty or what to eat/drink. I kept working and eating fast food and here is the kicker, I kept drinking Coca-Cola which I have had an addiction to for over 30 years. Now I’m watching your videos and anything else on fatty liver and praying it isn’t too late to reverse my fatty liver. I’m 53, 50 lbs overweight and have that dangerous belly fat. I am starting to drink ACV twice a day and am trying to eat low carb/Keto now. I’m also exercising 45-60 minutes 5 days a week. My goal is daily but I’m not there yet. I also take cur-cumin and some other supplements. My question is Is it too late to repair my fatty liver?

Yes, I have fatty liver. I was diagnosed with high cholesterol decades ago. From then on, doctors treated that as my number one health problem. Their solution, reduce fat intake, replace meats with "healthy"carbs. Guidelines from doctors, the US government, and the various diabetes and heart associations completely ignored the root cause of my problem and led me down a path to the full set of metabolic syndrome problems. When enzyme numbers indicated fatty liver several years ago, doctors didn't understand why since I was not a drinker. Because there was no scarring to my liver and my numbers showed "no problem" they said, come back if a problem arose. They ignored the root cause and let the problem worsen. When my blood glucose finally threatened a slide into diabetes and none of the dietary guidelines helped, I did my own research, found out what I needed and cut sugars and refined carbs cold turkey. Immediate results. Everything trending the right way and six weeks later real progress. I have strong hope of reversing the fatty liver and all the associated problems. All no thanks to any doctor who every treated me but to the information freely available on youtube from people like Dr. Hyman.

At Easter 2017, I ate too much candy, especially milk chocolate, and my hands were shaking for two days from the sugar overdose. I had to change my eating habits. I began the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting on April 23, 2017. I also consume at least 7 cups of greens per day. As of August, I have lost 20 pounds without going hungry, and my health has improved dramatically.

Dr. Hyman gives some great advice here. I would add that, for some people, who are extremely insulin resistant, a low carb diet will improve these conditions, but it might not be sufficient to completely reverse fatty liver. In these extreme cases, intermittent fasting, in conjunction with a low carb diet, will be necessary in order to truly restore a far gone liver to good health. For those interested in the efficacy of fasting to correct fatty liver, as well as reverse insulin resistance, I recommend watching the excellent lectures and interviews with Dr. Jason Fung. These videos can be found on RUclips.

***** I am not sure, from a health standpoint, if going zero carbs is a good idea. While your body doesn't have a dietary need for carbs, many highly nutritious vegetables contain some carbs, albeit small amounts. In my experience, going below 30 grams is unnecessary and being that stringent really does not add much more to ones weight loss. I think having a daily allowance of 30 to 50 grams, will allow people to lose significant weight, while also taking in plenty of nutrient dense vegetables - not to mention it will help keep bowel movements regular

    • @bushhack
      @bushhack 8 лет назад

Carbs whether 0 or to 50 if kept low will help a lot in the beginning. Over time, the change should graduate to healthy carbs and to your suggested 30 to 50. This will keep insulin resistance under better control for most. Diabetics should beware of how this affects their needs for insulin and requires the monitoring of their doctor.

I find that I cannot lose weight unless I trim my carb intake to 20 or less. All of those must be of the vegetable variety, preferably the leafy or cruciferous types.
In fact, I find that if I cut carbs back to 13 per day, and calories back to no more than 1500/day, I can optimize my weight loss.

your body is messed up like mine was.. you are insulin resistant. why? because you eat fat/proteins and low carb. if you just stop eating high protein and high fat, eat mostly carb/bread/grains/sugar, you will be more insulin sensitive. and you will start tolerate sugary foods as when you were young. i lost 30 pounds eating bread(no milk/no eggs)/grains/sugar/fruits... and i kept it off, and i am losing still.

Now after doing loads of research on the Keto diet after seeing Son in laws great response to it...and my Bro telling me he had been diagnosed with a glucose problem and it was hereditary ending in a low carb diet, I finally figured out what the problem is, what it is causing, and now learning even more about every angle of the Keto diet, fatty liver etc.
My metabolism and energy level has been falling for past few years along with increase Rheumatoid Arthritis pain and lots of cramps etc....so looks like I have a LOT to gain and a LOT to lose through my upcoming Keto lifestyle.
Wife should get a boost from Coconut oil as she is now experiencing a severe dementia onset..
I do know through many thousands of sources I watch daily that there is a huge change coming for the betterment of this planet and the problems in our country are getting a the very least a huge realignment if not a full fix and diet is a big part of the problem.....all I can say is its about time... Armed with some great info , maybe there is some hope for me being able to fix some of my own problems... I feel the only reason it has not been worse for me is that I started a regiment of Vit D, Tumeric and fish oil about a year or so ago...Now just need to implement a full blown Keto diet/lifestyle.
Dad had prostrate cancer so I will be implementing a food grade hydrogen peroxide regiment to counter that as well...but feel I will be much more aligned toward healing than the Big Pharma doctors ever could help.
The weight (gut or American Belly) loss should help my failing knees much as it did 10 years ago when I could not take any more steroids so just did a crash diet from 265 to 215 in 4 months which temporarily fixed that problem.
finally knowing what I need to buy and what to throw out, am heading to the market and stores today.!

I am 60 and I was diagnosed with Fatty Liver several months ago but as it was detected via an ultrasound it was caught early. Me enzimes were good and I have been on a very low carb diet and have gone from 84kg to 76kg and I feel much better. It is easy to go off the wagon a bit and then I have to pull myself back up to continue on with my diet.Since being on this I haven't got it checked yet but I was told it could take between 6 to 12 mths to reverse and repair your liver. By the way I live in Australia.

Good job researching. This diet was a miracle for me. It has given me a new life. I work in the medical industry and we were taught about the standard recommended diet but not about others. It was frustrating because I knew I was eating what I was supposed to be the healthy diet and kept gaining weight while my doctor said I was lying to myself about what I was eating. After I switched to a ketogenic diet (and switched doctors), I lost 80 lbs within 7 months! I along with all of my coworkers have switched and are all doing great. I wish you and your son well on the journey.

For those people who are over weight and UN-healthy ,..my advise for your health ; The biggest problem with controlling diabetes and weight through diet
is the lazy human variable. You can lead a horse to water but cant force
them to drink. Most people rather eat pills or shoot insulin than to
change their lazy eating habits. We live in an instant gratification
society full of people with Zero 0 discipline or work ethic. Sad but true
For those people who are over weight and UN-healthy , you
      should get
this book by a Canadian Chinese Doctore M.D. in Toronto-Canada ; Dr. Jason Fung from Toronto Canada his book will cure
      obesity and type two
diabetes . its about fasting and not eating bewten meals and low fat diet ; Read this book at
least two times and follow the fasting ,diet to control insulin ; check
      it out and read
      the reviews at amazon
      ; www.amazon.com/Obesity-Code-Unlocking-Secrets-Weight/dp/1771641258/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462303576&sr=8-1&keywords=Jason+Fung
for people with heart disease ; Dr. Esselstyn book "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" is the best book for people with heart disease , eating a plant base organic diet with no fats , no oils , and 1000 milligrams of magnesium a day and one raw lemon a day for your heart and arteries . . ruclips.net/video/J6pLRdawBw0/видео.html
The more meat and dairy you eat the more fat you eat and alcohol you
drink ; The more weight you gain . Fat and alcohol creates more Estrogen
in your body ...more Estrogen in the body more weight you gain ...and
The more hormone-cancers like breast cancer and prostate cancer. The
solution is to eat a plant base organic diet (Vegetarian ) coffee ,
sweets, beer , junk food , red meat dairy raises your estrogen in the
body . Vegetarian diet and exercise will bring down estrogen . life is
about the choice you make in life ! alcohol , red meat ,
dairy & fat equals = estrogen------------more estrogen in your body
equals = lots of weight gain Vegetarian plant base diet , no sugar , no
alcohol , no coffee , and exercise every day is the solution to lose
weight and bring down estrogen ..OLIVE OIL OR ANY FATS AND VEGETABLE OILS ARE TOXIC TO THE LIVER AND CAUSE HEART DISEASE ; SEE THIS VIDEO ON OLIVE OIL ;ruclips.net/video/OGGQxJLuVjg/видео.html
if you're not born with the skinny gene ! than you have only one solution eating very low
fat healthy diet and no avodcados !!! and exercise .and sleep 9 hours at least , go to bed
early so your hormones are not out of control . If you don't get good
sleep you will not lose weight . Make sure you don't have sleep apnea , Sleep with window open for fresh air , .donot over excersise or you will eat more !! , 45 minutes of fast walking every day is good and do some weights two to three times a week and very important , you must fast , and not eat every hour .!! FAST !!
.control your insulin ! You must not use any type of sweetners , no chocolate its stimulates hunger , no coffee ,, no
Stevia either , Stevia also raises your insulin hormone and you gain weight .
no sugar no artificial sweeteners ! ZERO !! if you feel hungry eat green banana, some oat meal , some "resistant starch" , half green banana , raw plantain .or "chia seeds" with almond milk , eating resistan straches are good for losing weight ;.do a parasite cleanse and Detox your liver ; eat one raw lemon a day squeesed with filtered water ,eat goose berries , kiwis for natural vitamin c ( no vitamin c pills) donot over eating tropical fruit it has a lot of sugar ,only apple ,green banana or grape fruit is okay .If you have heart disease take 8000mg. of magnesium a day .Go in the sun 20 minutes a day or get a sun lamp .if you want to lose weight dink apple cider vinegar 30 minutes before each meal and watch your intake of fat ,and carbs, no pasta, no bread ! be careful since the equivalent of 12
      teaspoons
      of sugar happens very quickly.
      For example:
      • 1 cup of milk equals = 2 teaspoons of sugar
      • 1 cup of rice (cooked) equals = 9 teaspoons of sugar
      • 1 banana equals equals = 5 teaspoons of sugar
      • 1 baked potato equals = 7 teaspoons of sugar
      • 1 sweet potato = 8 teaspoons of sugar
      • 1 cup of strawberries equals = 2.5 teaspoons of sugar (low sugar)
      • 1/2grapefruit = 2 teaspoons of sugar
      - Coca cola (one can) - 8.25 teaspoons of sugar
      - Raisin Bran cereal - 7.75 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - Grapes fruit - 4 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - Tomatoes - 0.7 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - 1 Muffin (one chocolate chip muffin) - 4.75 teaspoons of sugar
      - Special K cereal - 3 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - Corn Flakes - 2.4 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - Alpen cereal - 5.75 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - Mangos fruit - 3.2 teaspoons of sugar (per 100grams)
      - A cup of seedless prunes has, in effect, 25 teaspoons of sugar !
Scientists find in comparing the sugar levels in the blood after the
consumption of a snickers bar that has 8.5 teaspoons of sugar the same
as two bread slices ! . The sugar equivalent is of 1 large bagel a
whopping 12 teaspoons of sugar !
Lastly, it is worth noting that there are many breads that a single
slice of which will raise your blood sugar more than a US Snickers bar
(which has a GI of 68/97)…if the Glycemic Index can be believed. You
can browse the table yourself to see. I’ve included some of the more
      interesting ones below.
Breads that have a higher Glycemic Index than a Snickers bar:
Bagel, white, frozen (Lender’s Bakery, Montreal, Canada)
      Baguette, white, plain (France)
      Kaiser rolls (Loblaw’s, Canada)

I went on keto and so far, I’ve lost 28 pounds in less than 3 months. I have a maximum of 10 pounds left to lose. I also am low thyroid. There was no problem whatsoever losing weight on keto despite my hypothyroidism. So take heart!!! It will happen. Also watch videos by Eric Berg and Sten Eckberg. They are great!

Awesome video. I have been diagnosed with a fatty liver. This was caused by a car accident I had 9 years ago when I was hit at 85mph by a drunk driver. The injuries caused me to be immobile therefore putting on excess body fat

I was shocked to learn I had a fatty liver. Went on the Keto Diet, added magnesium supplements and lemon/Apple cider vinegar/cinnamon/cream of tartar tonic in the morning. Used to wake up with leg cramps and awful inching on the soles of my feet. Both symptoms are gone. Lost 13#. Still have abdominal fat. I also have T2Diabetes. Working on that.

Please go to an Indian grocery near you if you have one and you can very cheaply buy what's called methi powder ... it is the powdered seed of the fenugreek plant .
This powder balances the hormones for men and women alike and for centuries has been considered a treatment for diabetes .
I also used to know two people who completely healed themselves of diabetes with Pineberry but i don't know if they did the raw Pineberry fruit or if they took it in another form .

I heard those diabetes big harma meds make people fat .
And please get away from high fructose corn syrup which is very dangerous and causes fatty liver ... it's in almost everything in America and cannot be absorbed in the intestine .
Worse yet that makes you hungry all the time and so the more you eat of it the hungrier you get .

I also get crazy itching on the soles of my feet. We’re you told that’s from your fatty liver?

Very clear explanation. The Canadian food guide is saying exactly that: reduce your sugar and carbohydrate intake.
