Nice to see a smaller, lighter wheel for a change. I've gone back to one of my smaller ones for local, on-street riding and am really enjoying the lighter weight and smaller size.
True, it's hard to find a wheel that does it all. Hope they can continue optimizing performance/features without extra weight and size.
Yup… my 18XL is going no where!
I just bought my second wheel from E wheels. Jason is great! I ordered a lynx and was told I was in batch two and would have to wait until mid January. But I asked if I could just go ahead and pay in full right away just in case somebody wasn't able to come up with the cash when batch number one shipped out. They said ok, got my Lynx on Dec 24th! 💪 Totally stoked!
Fantastic. It's such a great wheel.
I got to test one for a bit, the torque is incredible for a 84v wheel, it's priced well and is a good commuter
I am so glad that you are reviewing this, for some reason I am really interested in this wheel despite it being 84 Volts. I asked if they could just make it a 100 Volt Wheel and leave the regular S16 at 84

I just got my first Euc today ever and it’s from ewheels. Super excited🙃 when I first opened the box I was like this thing is huge and heavy but here you are saying it’s small lol 😂

Thanks Marty, finally some more footage of the wheel. Very curious to hear about how this 84v wheel feels and registers stats and as you get near 37mph top speed limit. Looking for a 3rd wheel to comfortably get me over the 30mph cruising speed while staying under 70lbs with some good water resistance and suspension. V11Y is the other wheel I am considering.
Unfortunately I've since discovered that they really sent my the "S16" and not the Pro version. Top speed is ~30mph

ah cool, so this has the 50GB cells, and not even in the same ballpark. Just saw the Dawn video which looked faster than 31mph hehe. Lucky it was a short distance. @ElectricUnicycles

im just thinking to buy an s16 for replace my ks 16x , i even got a sherman s but i need a little wheel to go to work for train ecc
Marty, can you weigh this S16 for us? I remember KS saying they were going to change the materials to get the weight down, but eWheels still has it listed at 73 lbs and I can't find a newer number.

This s16 seems interesting as a lightweight smaller wheel for short distances.
33kg isn't lightweight tho
@@DeathToCockroaches i lift the equivalent of 1,5 begode extreme at the gym during chest day...😉 Jokes apart, vs whats on the market the s16 feels lightweight.
@@Ronin_Ryder I'm also referring to that compared to the lightest suspension wheels like v11 and s18. Also _it's all lightweight baby_

what's the improvement over s16, besides the battery to 50s. how that translates into divergences with the wheel? is it worth the 200€ price difference?
The speed of the Pro is much higher, offering more safety headroom. If you never need to ride faster than 25-mph (40-kph) than no need to buy the Pro.
Seems good, but for the same money you can have 100V Inmotion V12. I love my V12HT, rock solid built and no need of maintenance even after 5700km. The open slider design of KS will require a lot of maintenance... But of course if you want suspension, small, "cheap" wheel this one looks very good :).

They should have made the Pro model identifiable. Like a colored rear spring or something.
Absolutely. They should make it easier for people to feel "proud" that they own the upgraded model. I still tell people that I have the Pro 😉
Do you think this will be a good wheel for seated riding? Is there any talk of seated riding for this wheel that you know of?
If the relative low height is not an issue for you then seated ride should be nice with this wheel. I can't ride this wheel seated because it's too short for my knees.

@@ElectricUnicyclesI’m 6”4’, wondering if you mean it’s because you’re too tall, or because you have worn knees? Assuming the latter but I got worried for a moment, as I just ordered this over the S19, despite being quite tall and hoping to ride seated a lot. Thanks.
Hey Marty, you know me…
and i WAS one of the biggest speaker for KS wheels and their attitude. What they do NOW is just fishy, in some regards,
The 50s cell should NOT be able to make it go faster, as speed is voltage related alone and not amperage.
The Motor is the ABSOLUTE same as normal S16 and just because the 50s cell the number has been adjusted in Watt numbers.
Also the fact they gone down again to 84v is kind of very sad. the ONLY companynow going down in voltage again.
The S19 release was kind of same debacle as S20/22….LOT of wheels having battery/BMS problems. Several reports about it out there.
In my view -unfortunately- KS is going down the road….
The 50s cell CAN not be used to its full capacity in the S16, as they just use the old 12 Mosfets board. At least 24 MOS would be needed.
That 12 MOS is just to weak to use the full potential of the 50s cell.
All just MY opinion…..latest KS management developed wheels that are getting to the “old toy” direction of Inmotion and not what the customer wanted. They “scam” small sellers, deny their warranty and a lot more No Gos.

The greatest insult to the community was taking the roller-slider system to any wheels other than the original S-20. Roller-sliders are not acceptable for any of the new suspension wheels. Pathetic.
I know Ulf, you're not their biggest fan. But I'm trying to be objective and I'm having fun riding this wheel. It's certainly not for the power user.
I wish Bob the former ceo of lnMotion would take them over, they need a serious change, they are literally year after year running the company into the ground

I just wanted to let out my frustration with KS, in no way with you!
When I was helping them -KS- all along, having been one of their biggest advocate, then myself being scammed by them for a 180buck peace, hearing small sellers being blackmailed and coerced, it’s just depressing ME anymore than anyone else. And that just because of poor mangement change and decision.
The S16 certainly has its customer demand and is in general a nice wheel, but -in my subjective view- it’s for the starters in EUC.
No longtime rider or „half amateur“ will make a decision for that wheel. Not even to speak about serious long year group riders.
So it’s just about 3 years late 😅

But as arrogant LEO the KS boss is, he throwed it in the garbage as he has -for personal reasons- found Bob disgusting….
So that’s that, as KS is „private owned“ , not like IM being on stock market, we probably will never see that….
I just don't get their selling point, for the price I could get something more powerful?

The selling point is some people are waiting for some newer small wheels. I'm not sure this is the one but I hope they keep coming out with these.

@@ElectricUnicycles I was worried you'd confirm that ..I'll not be getting one based on that alone , nice of them to send it to you to try it out though .. Roger is mad .. I watched his video going along the promenade new tail end of last year at like 50mph.. it only takes a kiddy to step out or a dog to run out ..

I have some issues with my meniscus , but I mostly just ride for a few kilometers. The roads I ride on are not too bumpy, so I'm not sure if I need a suspension.Could you recommend and rank some wheels that would be suitable for me?

I won't ride non-suspension wheels. It's your choice though. Wheel recommendations? It's all about budget. It's like asking for a car recommendation without also saying how much you're willing to spend
@@ElectricUnicycles I'm not certain how much suspension will benefit my knee. For the sake of my knee health, I'm not setting a budget limit. I weigh about 66 kg and am 162 cm tall. I would appreciate a few recommendations and rankings, please.
@@anmmannm4603 Suspension has had a hugely positive effect on my knee health. Any of the Leaperkim (S, Patton, Lynx) wheels offer the most plush suspension ride.
@@ElectricUnicycles It seems to be a high-priced wheel and quite heavy. I'm not sure if a heavy wheel is conducive to my riding and knee-friendly. To strike a balance between knee health and price, would you recommend some mid-priced or even budget-friendly wheels?
@@anmmannm4603 Since I know nothing about you and you have some specific needs, I would visit a full-service dealer such as EWheels and chose the wheel that would best serve your needs. ANY wheel currently being made is ultimately a good wheel that you'll enjoy. There are no junk wheels being made.
I've never riden a Kingsong but they have their followers .... however when I was getting into EUC's the one thing that turned me off on Kingsong is that "big brother" throttle back when the battery gets down .. in this case 30% as you said Marty ... I know, it's a safety thing ... so I sure won't be purchasing a Kingsong anytime soon ... but ya can't please everyone as the saying goes. Just saw Dawn and that dip in your other video ... Wowzer!
oh God, a kill switch that doesn't give you a positive feedback. 😂 and I thought it's an anti thief feature that allows the thief to ride it for 5 seconds then crash😂
Most thieves probably dont know how to ride but that would certainly be a teaching moment if it would go to top speed first then just shut off suddenly like my Airwheel X3 with its ancient, original battery causing it to yeet the rider like UPS delivers packages.
Kingsong is just going to keep slipping further into irrelevance until they make a performance wheel. No kingsong wheel can compete.

I made the terrible mistake of watching the part of this video with the countdown with a mouthful of juice. I made a mess but it was hilarious nonetheless.
