@Chase Joel i care, for two reasons. one, thats fucking bullshit. two, advertizing that shit on videos with nothing to do with it is bullshit. gooday sir.
Something that'd be really cool with the plague doctor look would be maybe a capelet or light cloak. Clips with bird wings, or even adding a clip of a bird skull to match the bones in the print. The dress is such a nice bittersweet motif, and I love the idea of coordinating with the mask! I personally have a plague half-mask that I've used in a Victorian style coord, so honestly a Victorian or dark circus style overcoat might be cool or black and white vertical striped tights with ankle boots.
yess!! i was also thinking a 18th century kinda hat with huge black feathers would look really cool? both the female and male versions could work i think, yk kinda like bird napoleon with a feminine twist if that makes sense? xD you could also try to take this coord in a more pirate or circus like direction (without getting too costumey of course) aahh i just feel so inspired by this look! its great :D
For Birb-lita, maybe a cane could be a distinguished accessory too! One with a copper or silver handle. Also maybe a coat or cloak or gilet that looks a little more ouji?
I think the plague doctor coord is first of all SO VALID and also could fit well with a cape, maybe a lacy one? Also a hat including a vail is such a good idea *chef kiss* Great video as always!
I think for the plague doctor lolita something fun (maybe not for summer) but putting a half cape over top to echo that part of the plague doctor outfit could be cute? Or if you wore a blouse with tighter sleeves and then a sheer robe or over dress with poofy sleeves over top?
I think it would be really cool if you did a "where are they now?" section at the end and see if you could have any lolitas that you gave advice to send you their coords with the fixes you recommended
I just wanted to say I love how accessible you make your videos. I know it only amounts to a few seconds worth of content on the screen, but the time you take into checking different sites for blouses or shoes that might be available, just so that the person watching has a frame of reference or in most cases a actual direct site to go to fix their coord is amazing. You really go above and beyond, Lor
I've literally been thinking of doing a plague doctorish coord or putting on my plague doctor mask with my other coords honestly that birdlita is SO VALID.
That feel when Lor starts channeling Tyler because she misses her so much, my heart!!! Also Lor hyperfocusing on the bears when she spots them. BUT I ABSOLUTELY ADORE BAMBOLINA'S LOOK. Faaaaaaaaaammmm yesssss with the plague doctor lolita!!! Seconding the cape/cloak looks or adding more bone accents. Speaking of bones you could also use more creams/beige with it, or use some really nice Victorian style boots. The veiling idea is actually really good, since it plays off the Victorian mourning vibe, and would look very cute with the mask, I think. Having bishop sleeves or a lantern sleeved blouse would be cute, too, and I agree something light and breezy to match the trim on the dress would look A++++!
The plague doctor lolita would look so good with a cape!!!

To Ladydellapeste, you're missing some gloves, I think it's essential for your coords, also, a little vinaigrette or a necklace that looks like it. For your head I would suggest to use a hat with a veil, something similar to the ones the beekeepers use. Just like Lor said, some boots would be awesome, or high heels, so that you keep yourself off the dirty ground. A cape woul look really nice or those things that look like a robe but they are sheer, I forgot what they're called. I really really love your concept 💜
I almost bought that museum dress from SouffleSong. There are really cute necklaces and earrings that look like vintage framed paintings that I think would look really cute with it.
For the plague doctor coord, GLOVES!! There's some art I've seen of a 50s-style pinup plague doctor and she has really cute button up gloves! I could also see having a hat that ties under the chin be really cute, as well as some bone and skull based jewelry! Black lacy tights too! So many possibilities for spooky coords
I’ve never worn Lolita, but I’ve been watching your channel for years. I just wanted to say that I appreciate the time and attention to detail that Lolita styling takes. It really is an art form! As an artist myself I definitely feel inspired by your videos and the community as a whole. Just wanted to share my perspective as someone who doesn’t partake in the style, but who enjoys learning about it! 💖
For the last cord. I plan on doing something super similar once my stuff comes in! Like styling dresses with the mask. Two things I'd suggest are experimenting with vails and shawls. Especially ones you can wrap around your head. The nice thing with shawls is they come in so many colors you can really play around with them! Also that dress. I need that dress now
Idea for the coordinate for maxidoki: A light blue ( cool toned) puffed short sleeve blouse. It would make the white in the pattern pop and potentially the whatever it is blue..purple...color too.
I always listen to the fun Latin with the frogs part of Thumbalina 🤣💚 That plague doctor coord is cute, Glitter Tale and Lady sloth have some similar to the Haenuli and I do declare blouse your thinking of so that may work! 👋🏾💚💚
Thumbelina was one of my absolute favorite movies as a child, so much so that I used to play pretend that I was an small fairy princess that lived in a flower, and I made my mother help me sew leaves and flower petals made from fabric to my bed canopy so that it looked like a place for fairies to sleep :P One of my aunts also made me a princess dress and bought me a fairy wing harness thing to wear ^^ I really got to live out those fairy princess dreams when I was little :)
I went back to Gothic Lolita fashion around 4 years ago, and I'm from Singapore (an asia country)! Started to watch your videos since around 2 years ago and I like your contents. You are the first Lolita youtuber that I will look for advice, on youtube.
You have inspired me to finally take the plunge into EGL after admiring it late middle school/early high school. I can't wait to submit a coord for the first time once I get all my pieces together ♥️
17:43 I feel like stripy 2 colored otks or tights would look really cool with this coord. Maybe a green and black one. They could also get a choker with a sort of emerald or stone in it. Something sort of luminous would be spooky and magical. This kind of reminds me of big bird from elmo st but Gothic. It's very cool tho.
I ordered Magic Night in Museum in red a couple weeks before quarentine started! I also bought the princess sleeve blouse you recommend a lot (can't remember the name) and the matching headbow, and I was thinking of wearing black lace tights and black lace gloves with it, with red and gold accessories (and i'll definitely be getting a red beret to go with it eventually :)).
Holy crap, Bambolina, I hope you are reading the comments because your look SLAPS!!! I LOVE your mashup of plague doctor and lolita! Like that's such a stunning mashup that you've inspired me to do some plague doctor looks and ideas too!! My first (and so far only) dress is Migration Before Dawn by Lee's Theatre, which is a lolita dress based off of a Canadian Goose, so I totally get how you feel in the love of birds mashing together with this cool fashion!
Dear Lor, please do a video someday about accessorizing with pins and brooches. I'm always afraid I'm wearing them wrong. I like how you have those on your collar.
Thumbelina is fantastic. I rewatched it a couple of months ago and I wanna watch it again now lol. The full movie is here on RUclips so go watch it again!!
I have so many ideas for the plague mask Lolita and how to accessorize more. She could try out short sleeve blouses to accessorize her arms. There are accessories that are made to look antique, dirty and gold colored. I'd go for that to add some pop. I used to have a watch as necklace which was hanging low. An accessory like a watch could add a lot of meaning and fit the theme well. If she takes a thrilly blouse that covers her neck more she could also put a brooch with a green stone and a golden frame matching her dress. She could also try out bronce colors and go for more elegant lace-up leather boots. Probably a darker brown. If she wants to pimp it up she could also go for dark shoes with a green sheen/ metallic look to them.
Awwww, I'm friends with Max, and it's so cool seeing her featured here. I love her coordinates and am excited to see her grow as a lolita. T^T Thank you for supporting her and giving her advice. 💕💕💕
Lor. I’m here to validate you. Thumbelina is one of my fave movies of all time. I have it on vhs and dvd. I adore it so friiken much. You are not alone. 😂
That sweet girl with the blue/purple dress, I would 100% suggest putting that dress in her purse and taking it with her to Joann's fabric store or any kind of fabric store and to use it to compare fabrics with so she can find either fabric that matches that color or fabric that matches any of the other colors within the dress. I have done this for many of my favourite dresses in order to make hair accessories that match. Sometimes you have to try a few stores, but it really does help. (don't forget matching thread!)
Honestly for many of the I was thinking why not cover the tops of the dresses with like a cardigan/sweater/shirt thing. Just cover the top and treat the rest like a skirt. Better for everyday and a great way to simplify or/and soften the looks and be able to add other designs and/or ideas to it. Another thing would be to bring out the not so apparent colors in their dresses instead of directly trying to match the bolder more obvious ones, especially for the dresses with harder to match colors. Just some ideas and thoughts I had, honestly I’d have a blast planning and helping with those outfits
omg you like thumbelina too lol!!! i watched it all the time as a kid and i just rewatched it a couple weeks ago (it got added to disney+) i feel so validated 😭 (thumbelina’s wedding dress was my fave)
Something that popped into my head as to what someone could do with the third coord was that you could go very Rococo, since the dress pattern already seems heavily inspired by Rococo architecture and art. Lean heavily into the more French 18th century style and coordinate this piece with a white blouse that has bell sleeves to it, with lace gloves, a very OTT high wig inspired by Marie Antoinette with a choker or a set of pearl necklaces. Add pearl bracelets, white tights that are either plain or very subtly patterned with gold accents, and top it off with those black shoes you had in the picture. I would tie the black back in by adding a headpiece that is just as OTT as the wig that would fit with the aristocratic styles of the 18th century, like creating a boat piece that sits in the hair, or whatever themes play best with the imagery in the pattern that incorporates those darker colors. make sure to wear a very fluffy petticoat underneath to get that very full silhouette, as panniers (pronounced Pon-Yays) were very popular among the french aristocrats of that time. Top it all off with some 18th century inspired makeup: and you got yourself one amazingly beautiful coordinate! Though....It might be a bit much for every day. As for the Plague Doctor coord: YES. I didn't know I needed this in my life, but by the gods all mighty: I NEED IT!!! It's amazing and beautiful already as is, but like many here, I'm agreeing that it needs gloves. some really cool giant bell end gloves or at least some either leather or velvet gloves could really add to the spook factor, especially if they were in black. Couple the amazing coord with a really nice short cape in a dark color like grey or black, and BAM! Plague Doctor coord brought to the next level~!!! I also think the boots idea is an amazing idea, as it adds that more spooky, Gothic almost borderline punk style! Incorporating more gold might also be a good idea, as it would help highlight a lot of the coord already. How about a thorny wreath of golden and black roses? A trailing veil to the back of that might also be really cool, turning it into more like a Plague Bride coord. Honestly, we need more spooky coords. Not just Gothic coords, but straight up inspired by some creepy and spooky stuff. Like....Give me a skeleton inspired coord, one where we fully embrace the spook. Give me bloody, gory, way OTT death and destruction, Alice: Madness Returns levels of insanely creepy coords. Let's make it happen people~!!!
I know this is old but I'm binging your fixing coords playlist and I want to make sure I mention, Thumbelina is amazing and thank you for bringing it up lol I love your humor.
So nice! I'm loving yout content. I'm going through a really hard time in my life, and no joke your content is the escape a ray of happiness that I need to keep me going. Thank you.
A cape or mini-coat on top would really complete the whole plague doctor look she’s going for. I’m not a Lolita but that’s just the first thing I thought of cause I’m just like “WHERES YOUR CAPE?!?”, also gloves would work well, especially if she’s wearing the white blouse or light colored blouse she could wear black or any dark colored gloves with it to really pop(as long as it matches any other dark colors present in the outfit). She could also have the collar piece be a different color to help draw attention to an accent color, example being maybe a gold like the bottom trim of the dress, bringing that gold on top for a collar piece could really pop. Also maybe different masks to help keep the plague doctor aesthetic going on so that way she’ll have multiple different masks colors and patterns or even lenses, or perhaps circular sunglasses to put on top of the mask to make it look a bit more quirky, that could help bring some color to the face region with the lenses being an emerald or gold color. I may not be a Lolita but I know when I damm well see an amazing aesthetic and I wanna make sure she keeps going all out!
Thumbelina is such an underrated movie it was one of my favorite growing up, recently my boyfriend bought me a new vhs copy bc my old one was just not working and well i cried bc it came with an actual box and everything
Ahhh! My first coord I ever got isn't here yet so I couldn't send it to you, but when I'll get it I'll submit is since I'm a newbie and want some advice! You're advice is so good! :)
For the birdlita, I would recommend a lace cape/cloak, to emulate bird wings, but also sheer enough to still your dress through (for one of the pictured coordinates, maybe in a soft yellow to match the underskirt?). Also, a top hat might be good for balance. I'd really recommend playing up the warm yellows and greens in your print, rather that focusing on the stark black and white, for a softer, more forest fairy direction.
For the person with the blue-purple dress: I'm very much a newer Lolita myself (still waiting on shipping for most of my items o.O.... but i have a pretty well-received coord planned yet lmao), and the dress+wig+blouse was giving me uhh, and I get it if you're not into this, but, was kind of giving me ~~~fancy Alice Vibes??? I think all the sock recs would be great but if the goal is not super OTT but still like.... quietly sophisticated and fantasy-tea-party-like, maybe a somewhat plain or simple black headband or black and white rectangle headpiece (something either black with white lace, or white with black ribbon??? is what I'm thinking) and black Mary Jane's or tea parties! I think gold shoes is also a good idea if one were to go this route. Just an idea!
also if this idea is entirely corndogs to most experienced lolitas feel free to call me out. i am speaking from my own personal preferences thus far after all, though lmao xD, obvs, as someone who enjoys Alice coords ^^'
i wanted to say that you are not the only one who remember thumbelina it was one of my favorite movie and I even bought the dvd not à long time ago 😛 I really love all your videos ☺️ I just buy my first causal lolita dress this week and I’m so happy cause I was looking to know more about this style for a really long time 🙂 thank you for all your advises!
For the Plague doctor (all the comments are mostly for that coord haha) I agree that the black tights and stark white shoes was super distracting my eyes just pulled straight there . And definitely would LOVE to see more lace in the blouse . Super awesome coord
I feel like the Plague Doctor Lolita could also pull a steam punk-like lolita coord with that jsk by pulling in some worn ankle Victorian style heeled boots, a belt with those pouches/bags that could be bird/skull themed, a swallowtail waist skirt, and maybe adorn themselves with some bird bone themed jewelry! I love their uniqueness; we need more people like this in Lolita fashion
Your Thumbelina throwback is valid. I used to have my grandma rent it from the video store all the time when I was little. I've been listening to the soundtrack lately cause I rewatched the movie the a couple weeks ago on RUclips (ya didn't hear that from me though)
Also for the plague doctor coord I'm getting major steampunk vibes and I would love to see a top hat and maybe some steampunk googles that are the same cooper color as the boots that Lor suggested. Pulling that coppery yellow out of the print with accessories and wrist cuffs would be great. Also I found this cage purse on amazon and I would love to see a cage as a bag to go with the bird theme which I love. 😍
Not only did I love that particular Thumbalina film... which both my husband & myself grew up with...we had our kids watch it as younger children too. It is a family favorite ❤ Watch the Movie Lor ! You wont regret it. If there was ever time for a retro movie night it's now!
15:40 Omg I love this look and this dress °^°! I don´t have many lolita items yet but I´m walking on the inbetween sweet and classic line... with dresses like that I would like some gothic too... oh buy ...how much can you mix or middle sweet and goth?... I´m sure gonna do research on that!
I think what may work for @maxdokidoki if she wanted to keep the whole thing as is, would be to change out the color of the little hair clippy things. The gold looks good, works well, and adds texture to the blonde hair, and I like that, but I feel you could more obviously tie the dress into a full coord if they matched the darker pinks in the dress, and/or were something like a chocolate or milk chocolate brown (again, matching the smaller color tones in the dress.) Overall, whenever I can't match something perfectly to the main color, I'll either grab something that doesn't match at all (like contrasting blue with orange, but I know that doesn't work well with most Lolita cords) orrrrrrrrrrr I'll pick a less prominent color from the outfit and match the accessories to *that* instead. …. Dude, I LOVE the plague doctor Lolita look! That is just so cool!!! @ladydellapeste
I got a big chunk of money recently and so I decided to splurge on starting with lolita! Im rewatching a ton of your videos and it’s making me SO excited and I’m just screaming thinking about it coming to me ehehe
The plague doctor lolita is so valid. Honestly goals.
Imagine seeing it in the woods staring at you tho... Is that rude? Sorry TwT
@Chase Joel i care, for two reasons. one, thats fucking bullshit. two, advertizing that shit on videos with nothing to do with it is bullshit. gooday sir.
Plague Doctor-lita is the hero we all need right now
She may or may not give us cocaine and beat the sin out of us
I drew this
I love how your two colour background matches your two tone hair! 💜💜💜
Something that'd be really cool with the plague doctor look would be maybe a capelet or light cloak. Clips with bird wings, or even adding a clip of a bird skull to match the bones in the print. The dress is such a nice bittersweet motif, and I love the idea of coordinating with the mask! @Kai The_Magical.Lizard Oh nice! I got mine on etsy!

For Birb-lita, maybe a cane could be a distinguished accessory too! One with a copper or silver handle. Also maybe a coat or cloak or gilet that looks a little more ouji?
There are fancy old cane handles that look like birds or a bird's claw.
I think the plague doctor coord is first of all SO VALID and also could fit well with a cape, maybe a lacy one? Also a hat including a vail is such a good idea *chef kiss* Great video as always!

RIght?! The level of detail and care is really impressive.
Yes, this!! Thank you, Lor :)
I've literally been thinking of doing a plague doctorish coord or putting on my plague doctor mask with my other coords honestly that birdlita is SO VALID.
THUMBELINA IS STILL SO GOOD 😭
I watch it all the time

"I've seen the perfect hat! ...in animal crossing" is such a mood
Idea for the coordinate for maxidoki: A light blue ( cool toned) puffed short sleeve blouse. It would make the white in the pattern pop and potentially the whatever it is blue..purple...color too.
I’m like 80% sure we went to the same college and I can attest that as of a couple of years ago the crows are still there and having fun
Thumbelina was one of my favourite movies as a kid! I also haven't seen it in a long time and might spend tomorrow night doing that now.
I've seen Thumbelina like 20 times, mostly when I was younger but I've taken the time to rewatch it in recent years, it's really fun!
I had my dad rent the Thumbelina dvd for me every time I had to stay home sick. I still watch it every once in awhile.
I always listen to the fun Latin with the frogs part of Thumbalina 🤣💚 That plague doctor coord is cute, Glitter Tale and Lady sloth have some similar to the Haenuli and I do declare blouse your thinking of so that may work! 👋🏾💚💚
ok but birblita has my soul now, I'm in love
The plague doctor aesthetic is awesome!

Your Twinkle Mermaid treasure chest headpiece is incredible. That's such a cool idea!
Yes Lor! I love Thumbelina. That film is such a fond memory from my childhood.

I have the same rainbow stars bracelet! It was cool to see another lolita wear it!
NGL the birdlita bit read like something out of the Hamster cycle in the April Fool's video.
rocking gingham!!!! also love your hair!!!!

Thank you.
For the incomplete coord, I would go with an Alice look. Black head bow, white socks and blouse. Food accessories, such as rings and necklaces.
Also you look so cute here idk if it’s the coord or the wig but it compliments the makeup really nicely you just look so like bright and rosy
my biggest tip for accesories is get white ones and black ones. they go with EVERYTHING
Lor you are valid! That song immediately started playing in my head too.
Thumblina got me OBSESSED with fairies
For the coordinate at 5:38, id LOVE to see some sort of bonnet with it in either a matching color or in white!
I ALSO FEEL LIKE A BLACK BONNET WOULD LOOK SUPER FUN WITH PLAGUE DOCTOR LOLITA
I loved Thumbelina!! Great video!! I loved the advice!
Welcome baaaack. I’m lor, you’re wAtching lovely lor, and welcome to the 15th installment of fixing your coordinates.
For the bird-lita; CAPES.
"Let's go full Taylor... I don't even care anymore..." 🤣🤣🤣
I have a habit of watching Thumbelina, Anastasia, and the 1st Swan Princess when I’m bored, because all those movies are still AMAZING!!!😍
YESSSSSSSSS I LOVE THESE VIDEOS YOU INSPIRE ME SO MUCH!!!!! OwO
Omg thumbelina, that brought back so many memories
for some reason i really wanna see how the plague doctor coord would look with a bonnet? like fancy bird-crone out and about on the town???
For the birdlita, I would recommend a lace cape/cloak, to emulate bird wings, but also sheer enough to still your dress through (for one of the pictured coordinates, maybe in a soft yellow to match the underskirt?). Also, a top hat might be good for balance. I'd really recommend playing up the warm yellows and greens in your print, rather that focusing on the stark black and white, for a softer, more forest fairy direction.
I love how your hair is two different colors and your background too. 😄
I do love Thumbelina. But I want to be like Prince Cornelius!! You are so valid, Lor! 😄
Oh man I gotta rewatch Thumbelina! I loved that movie as a kid
for the bird one a short glove with v lacy ends almost like a wrist cuff would be hella cool!!
Thumbelina was one of my favorite movies as a kid! So nostalgic 💕
The plague doctor look would look so good with a huge full bonnet
It is a family favorite ❤
Watch the Movie Lor ! You wont regret it.
If there was ever time for a retro movie night it's now!
The background/hair half and half is so cute!
I've seen Thumbelina before and I loved it. I forget the last time I've seen it.
Thumbelina is one of my favorite movies!
I really appreciate editor Lor
Fun series
I think what may work for @maxdokidoki if she wanted to keep the whole thing as is, would be to change out the color of the little hair clippy things. The gold looks good, works well, and adds texture to the blonde hair, and I like that, but I feel you could more obviously tie the dress into a full coord if they matched the darker pinks in the dress, and/or were something like a chocolate or milk chocolate brown (again, matching the smaller color tones in the dress.)
Overall, whenever I can't match something perfectly to the main color, I'll either grab something that doesn't match at all (like contrasting blue with orange, but I know that doesn't work well with most Lolita cords) orrrrrrrrrrr I'll pick a less prominent color from the outfit and match the accessories to *that* instead.
….
Dude, I LOVE the plague doctor Lolita look! That is just so cool!!! @ladydellapeste
Lol, just watch that tag getting totally SWAMPED with photos now xD
Ah yes, peace has been restored ✌️
U suit sooo much in this co-ord no joke! Soo pretty 😍 😍
I watched and rewatched Thumbelina when I was younger!
I got a big chunk of money recently and so I decided to splurge on starting with lolita! Im rewatching a ton of your videos and it’s making me SO excited and I’m just screaming thinking about it coming to me ehehe
