  • With one night to kill on our own, Trek and I hop in the truck with some gear, make a quick stop at the grocery store and make our way North into some trails to do some crown land camping, check out the Fall colors and most of all, see if the Brookies were putting on the feed!

I agree, but it seems covid is giving people the time to find these places, or maybe just revisiting them, as I've been seeing more and more people coming to them. It's a great lake, hopefully it doesnt get beat up too much.
      Thanks for watching, cheers

@@CoveringWater not fan of people like you also driving into these awesome spots and giving us pioneer style hiker/fisherman a buzz kill when we see all your stuff parked and hogging the zone. We kept a bunch of disrespectful assholes 4 hours in the public boat because they refused to come take a break so we could not have a turn...Hike 2 hours just to see some buttholes with there huge truck not sharing and leaving there trash all over.

bullshit, people hunt with yappy hounds in that area every year, it doesnt affect the deer until the hounds chase them...city boy@@RalphElliot

Dumb boy@kevinowen4675 ...dogs are used for hunting birds or treeing bears....not chasing deer😅. But his dog would chase a deer.

I live up in Huntsville and go out a lot I use my ATV and Kayak for fishing. I’ve never gone over to the Kawarthas area as there’s to much around me. I agree since Covid seems to be more people out and about. I see more garbage pretty sad to say the least. Enjoy bud if your ever coming up my way drop me a message I’ll go out fishing with ya.

      Thanks for watching Frank.
I spend alot of time looking at lakes using satellite image on like google maps and the MNR fish map, which has a clearer picture than google. Then I cross reference it with the crown land atlas to make sure I wont be greeted with a gate or no trespassing signs when we go and check it out. The snowmobile maps help too, because their trails use alot of crown land.
      Cheers, Ryan.

Hey thanks for watching. While I won't be giving this spot away, I can aim you in the right direction. Check out the OFSC snowmobile trail maps, or the Kawartha ATV trails map for the North Kawarthas. There are tons of trails running through crown land and the Kawartha Highlands Park, and if you want to know if it is crown, check the Ontario crown land atlas. The queen Elizabeth wildlands has alot of hiking trails aswell, that they outline on their maps.
      Hope this helps,
      Ryan.
