- Hangminta a kedvenc soundjaimról, mindenféle külön pedál nélkül.
I think those amps are what 15 -20 years old by now, and they still hold up. I think they sound exceptionally well.
Best amp i ever buyed, still playing whit this 2 times 2 special 75 whats stereo proffesionel!
My used Flextone III is pretty good as a home or studio amp. Daily player for over a year now and it sat in-place for the first owner. Good player that guy! Mine was pristine less the scratchy, later dropping out, master volume pot. Sprayed from the top with contact cleaner and now it just scratches a bit, no random drop out. I think pots are oil filled for steady/even turning feel. That's now gone. I suspect the contact cleaner got into the oil. But it works better than before if not so nice to the touch. I'm not keen to open up the amp and deal with it properly, as it's my daily player. Someday I will and I'll also replace the pot. There is muddy tone to contend with on far too many of the models, but EQ sorts that okay. An EQ pedal is on my list. Good distortion can be found, but requires a search. I have the SBV Shortboard so dialed in tones and effects are a toe tap away. Bought a used AMPLIFi TT unit because it was cheap and I knew the modeling was a generation better. It is definitely better overall, but when I go with just the amp it is still pleasing. 150 watts, two Celestion G12s, lots of very good effects and foot switching. I paid $450 NZD for the amp and stompbox combo, then another $240 NZD for the AMPLIFi TT. And some sort cables. Better sound has really improved my playing, so totally worth it. Good tone from big speakers really moves a player into places less encountered on a wee practice amp. Well that's my experience playing 30+ years on only cheap small amps...untill now. And I play much more often and for longer too. It was time and I feel a sense of earning my way into a better amp, not just buying one. Next amp comes a year after the mortgage is paid. It'll probably be a used Katana after they've proven to last. I think the FLEXTONE amps are great for players who have better priorities than spending large on gear. For most of us good enough is all we can really hear anyway. Most musicians are hobbyists and DON'T have the ears they think they have. And most audiences aren't listening closely if at all.
gonna win a line 6 flextone 3 for $100 tomorrow ... i'm so fucking amp'd - great video bro
haha every great lick coming out for this video!! Great playing my friend.... nice one. I wish I had never sold my Flextone III XL now :-( Time to look for a 1x12
Good tone !
Awesome
Thanks!
Nice guitar! I have one like it, without the sticker.
yeah! I have the same Amp, i have the same guitar, but the sticker didn´t stick 3 Minutes aftre I buyed her ;)
Sounds incredible!! Stock pickups?
Thanks! Yes, these are stock.
Really nice... What's the song you start playing on 0:40 just before little wing?
Thanks! The song is Slow dancing in a burning room by John Mayer.
How loud did it need to be to get breakup? And could you get good tones at low volume?
This isn't a tube amp, so you can get the breakup from 0 volume. Of course it sounds better on higher volume, but you can get good tones on room volume too.
Dude i have one of these amps, and a similar guitar!! How did u get those tones!!!!!
Read my last comment. I can't tell the exact settings, because I've already sold the amp. By the way this strat is a Classic Vibe, which has pretty good pick-ups in it, so it's not as dull sounding as the cheaper Squiers.
Hi, did you ever compare with a Flextone 2 ? I think the 2 sounded a little bit dark.
Hi, no I haven't heard the Flextone 2 myself. As far as I remember, this amp can be set dark and bright sounding too. It depends on the model you use. (I sold it long time ago.)
Hi there, could you please tell me what song you were playing at 4:00? thanks
Hi, the song is Stranglehold by Ted Nugent.
Thank you :D
sounds like that ted Nugent song can't think of the maybe stranglehold idk
What are your amp settings please
Well, I don't really remember my exact settings. I can recall that for clean sound, I used the yellow Class A-30(Vox AC-30) model with a bit of chorus and delay. I used that much gain, that the sound was a little bit crunchy. For hi-gain I used the red one by the Recto Dual (Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier). If you setting the tone controls you should listen to your ear. There aren't universal settings, which sounds everywhere good. You have to set up your amp for the room, where you play at.
